[OPEN] In which a woman pushes herself

WHEN: The later part of June
WHAT: Elda Marker is suffering the beginnings of complications from not having human blood since the end of May, but is trying to do tasks anyway
WARNINGS: Elda might get a little weird if your character's blood smells nice to her but she won't attack or anything.

I. When things go odd
[ So Elda Marker, as some people no doubt saw earlier in the month is trying to fulfill various tasks this month because she needs to restore people to the city. She needs to restore he son, and the fact that he's still not back is driving her crazy. As a vampire she can only be out at night, but her intention is to accost people and demand, ]

Hey, do something with me. Please. [ Holding out her phone to read her list of things because. Like, she needs to?

That said, she is showing signs of fatigue. Over the last few months the already youthful looking Elda Marker has gotten to looking even thinner and younger, able to easily pass for a woman half her age now. But over the last month, as it heads towards the end, she's started to get bags under her eyes, wrinkles on her face, and has to shake out her hands. She starts to look more like 41, but more importantly, he bones begin to ache a little as if she was even older. Mmm. She might be seen sitting somewhere and drinking water, trying to not think about the fact she can't eat lately. Mmmmmmrrr. ]

II. When things are harder
[ In addition to that accosting people and dealing with the strange feelings of her aging, you might come across Elda Marker trying to fulfill certain tasks without the help of other people! Or at least, she'll be doing this with the hope someone else will step in and do it with her:

Going and fighting monsters on the outskirts of town with a giant spoon in hand and wearing an outfit Jirou's people made for her back in August, if only because it'll mean none of her normal dresses or jeans or the like rip.

Doing yardwork for random people in the middle of the night, planting flowers, pulling weeds, etc. ... She didn't ask first though, so.

Egging someone's house in the middle of the night! ... And then cleaning it up afterwards, hoping no one living in there notices. Or anyone on the street.

Going to the zoo and assuming she can't find any animals who escaped their cages... breaking animals out of their cages just so she can put them back in.

As before, all of these need to happen at night (after the sun is down basically) because she can't be out during the day ]

[ Perhaps it's just a little bit of ego on her part, but she sort of waves a hand dismissively. ... It's. A little silly. Given that she's like 5' and tiny and thin. ]

[ she gave a little laugh. not meaning to be condescending — after all, May could probably pick Yin up and throw her over the roof of the bar, and Elda's not much smaller — but because it's a funny mental image. ]

[ She says sheepishly, rocking on the balls of her feet. ... Man her shoes feel so uncomfortable these days. ]

[ now she's leaning down, hand on her hip, to look the woman in the eye. ] Thought vampires were s'posed to be good at the whole... sweeping innocent young girls off their feet and whisking them off into the night.

[ Yin that statement hardly qualifies for you. ]

Try knocking 'em out, taking their blood, and erasing their memories.

[ He response is... probably a little too callous by half, but if the girl is going to continue to flirt with her, she'll be cheeky back.

[ oh hell yes. dark humor? she'll take that bait without blinking. ] Hmm. Kinky~

Wow, really? [ She holds up a finger, and it glows with a yellowish aura. She's careful to have it pulled back far from Yin's head, but... ]

I poke you with this, I could erase the last two minutes, you know.

[longwei2go]

That's less fun. [ admittedly. ] Can you erase like, years?

[matchbreaker]

[ she lowers the finger, causing the glow to abate, and she turns to start the walk to her car, though she does glance back in case the other stumbles too much. ]

I don't know. Probably! I've not dare try anything like that, just enough to make sure I can control it to not fire it off accidentally.

[ Yin follows along, jogging a few steps to stay by the woman's side. ] You could prolly make some serious bank with a skill like that. Everyone's got shit they wanna forget.

[ oh no that almost sounded somber for her in her current state. gotta stop that. ]

[ Elda's response is... thoughtful, but it's not hesitant. It's just a factual statement. Probably just as somber. ] It's not targeted. Even if you were telling me to erase years, that'd be starting from this second, everything back to whenever you wanted erased until now.

[ Yin had to think a moment about that meaning of that, and a good comeback. she cupped her mouth and ran her hand down her neckline, inhaling deeply.

oh, one of these advances she's really going to regret making. ]

Okay, first of all... I'mma take that as a compliment.

[ then adds another to it. ]

[ She exhales and she shakes her head a little bit before she just sort of waves a hand and gets them in step to go... ]

Sure hope so. [ Yin. ] Don't wanna end up havin' performance issues.

A'ight. [ Yin can roll with that. it's a little disappointing but... hey. there's always the hope of someone changing their mind. weirder shit has happened to her in Recolle after all. ]
