Starting a petition is…not quite what he has in mind, but he can bend it a little and maybe it'd count. Should anyone get close enough, he'll approach and grin a little, clipboard gripped firmly as he waves.]

[Frankly, he's also a little bored and it's why he decides to commandeer a stall at the Farmer's Market today. The market's been quiet given the lack of people around, but today John's selling what appears to be…a bunch of baked goods. Tarts, cookies, pastries (no cupcakes, weirdly) and some candied apples.

For anyone passing by, he'll lean forward a little, nudging the tray toward you.]

Tribunal Terrace, OPEN

[John can also be found walking from the parking lot of the hospital, carrying a couple of large boxes from his car toward the front door. There appears to be a handful of art supplies hanging out of the boxes, but as he passes by he'll commentate.]

Mind getting the door for me? I could really use a hand. [He thinks he's funny. He's not.]

I don't know. I would like to think so! This is about us making the city our own in a way, isn't it? It would be a bummer to lose the work we did. Besides, if Minato can advertise for his café, we can paint a couple of stars that'll stick.

The intention was kind of good all the same. [He even opens the door for her, waiting for her to slide into the car so he can shut it.]

A subtle signature sounds perfect. What kind of mark do you leave on your own drawings?

If I don't do a messy signature, it's something like a simplified cherry blossom. Since I go by Sakura online!

[He's back in the driver's seat while she explains and he's pulling away from the curb, seemingly knowing exactly where he wants to take her.]

That's...really cute, Chiyo. [He's trying not to laugh because frankly it's adorable but whatever.] Why Sakura?

Hehehe, it's my mother's maiden name, but I like the play on words, you know? The characters for my mom's name aren't the same as cherry blossoms, but they sound the same. [ Homonyms but she doesn't know the word off the top of her head. ]

So it's something that's not quite a new name but also something that's my own! What would you have for a signature or logo?

Like a homage then! A new generation inspiration. That makes it even cooler and very fitting.

[But. Hm...] ...when I was a kid in my old life, I used to have this shirt that had a silly green ghost on it. And I think maybe that would be my logo. My chat handle used to be ghostyTrickster, too. So something like that.

I didn't know you liked ghosts so much, John! [ She learns something new everyday, and it's great. ]

I think a flower and a ghost would go great next to together. That cute but spooky aesthetic is getting more popular.

[He laughs because:] I still do. I think maybe it might drive Dave crazy someday but I still believe in them and want to find them someday. I remember talking to a lot of ghosts in the past, too, but that hasn't been a thing here.

I think that suits us perfectly though. Cute but spooky...and if it's permanent we have to make it really good! Like a cool constellation.

I think Dave will accept it because it's you, and he loves you. [ She laughs. ] But I think if he likes fossils, he can support your ghost hunting and ghost talking, if you ever find them!

[ If Chiyo doesn't think too hard about the implications, it won't spook her, so she's focusing more on supporting John thank thinking about what it means for ghosts to be around. ]

It can be a ghost holding a flower or a ghost with a flower tattoo. But... constellations are usually simple. [ Hmm.... can they make up their own constellation rules? ]

[What if he just kind of flushes a little because excuse him, Chiyo!! ...like it's true but also!!] We have enough dead stuff living around our house, so I guess that counts. They're both relics.

[So that's totally fine!! She'll also notice he seems to be driving them to the beach.] I don't see what would be so hard about a ghost holding a flower. Ghosts should get to have nice things, too.
