[open] no one's too old for bingo
WHO: Sorey and anyone!
WHERE: All over Recollé
WHEN: After June 3rd
WHAT: Sorey's trying to restore the city and not think about how he's lost everything precious to him, even temporarily. Also, not really bingo. Feel free to join the party! The list is just to give some ideas/variety.
WARNINGS: The sads, Sorey being a big whiny baby... oh, nothing serious.
[RECOLLE; GENERAL]
[Being the coalition's unofficial ghostbuster has its benefits and... disadvantages. When he sees the suggestion of talking to the dead, he knows he needs to be present to make sure something stupid doesn't happen. He hasn't forgotten about that time Dante crashed the ghost hunting expedition and brought out a real ghost. The last thing they need is some half-invisible spirit calling down the afterlife on them because they got screamed at.
But there's plenty of other things for Sorey to do, too.
One might find him hanging around the Towers with a piece of paper and all these tasks written down. In Apprassage, he's set up a table in a nice area near the sidewalk with another chair and a big ol' sign. FINALS HELP FOR FREE - STUDENT TEACHER'S ADVICE. In Tisse, he's eyeing all the food, but especially the burger place... He hasn't done the challenge yet (because Mikleo has standards), but without much ability to cook for himself, this is essentially his best chance to get a lot of food in a short amount of time. But really he's just curious. A lot of those places have substandard food, yet the food here's always been pretty decent. It's worth a shot, anyway.
He's here and there, trying to keep himself busy. That's the only way to escape the darker thoughts that come for him in the silence.]
[AT HOME]
[With finals over and school on its way out, he's simply awaiting his judgment. Will he secure the alternative teaching license or not? The anxiety of that pales in comparison to all the other revelations over the weekend, not to mention suddenly being bereft of his husband. Mikleo can't hear or see him, and Sorey can't see Mikleo either, but he can hear perfectly. The first time he hears Mikleo's voice he gets excited enough that he tries to tackle him, but Mikleo keeps moving through the kitchen, oblivious, and Sorey ends up face-first into the floor. It's not a good start to his week, that's for sure.
No matter how he tries to follow voices nothing works. Mikleo and his mom and his mother in law are all oblivious. For the first time in his life, Sorey knows what it's like to be alone. He tries to make the best of it. He still has to live here. Not being able to touch his husband makes his heart ache, but he tries to be strong. When it gets bad, he just sits there on the couch and closes his eyes, listening to the sound of his roommate's breathing or bustling in the kitchen, and he grounds himself in the knowledge that his loved ones are (mostly) safe.]
[CLUB SUNSHINE]
[Throwing himself so hard into everything also means he's... not doing too well at work. Granted, there's not much he can do with everything haphazardly painted and of course being unable to interact with normal townsfolk. But he wants to help restore this district like Zee said, so that means hanging around at times with his list of ideas from Zee. Who knows-- maybe he'll find someone of a like mind.]
((OOC: No previous plotting required if you want to drop something on here. Just make sure to note somewhere in the title what prompt this is for so I have an idea. The list linked above is just for ideas and is by no means the only stuff I'll thread. For more plotting, you can find me on plurk @

Yeah, you're right. This place is basically an extension of him. [And he's the second guy Sorey's worked for to suddenly stop remembering the app, too.] We remember what it's supposed to be like, though. We'll make sure it keeps running like it should be.
[He swallows.]
Though... I dunno if you've heard, but there's a big possibility I won't be working here after the school year starts.

[Though he can't exactly fill the role of a host like Sorey can.]
Good luck with your studies.

[Maybe he can't be a host in his eyes, but Sorey thinks that anything is possible with time and dedication.]
I'm actually-- I applied for a position as a permanent teacher at the high school. It's a special license, so I'll need to go back to college eventually, but... for now, that's gonna take up all my time.
I'll know for sure at the end of the month.

I guess that's one thing being a host and being a teacher have in common.
[Though they don't seem like similar career paths.]
