She remembers that. She remembers that she's had pride in her intelligence.
She doesn't remember anything else, and it's alarming. Very much so. She's reasonably sure that "Keiko Yamamoto" isn't her name, but for the life of her, she can't remember what is.
When the young man calls to her, she glances up, relieved to have some companionship but trepidatious at what it might mean.] --no, I'm afraid not. I've been looking for it, actually.
no subject
Hmm...
[ he thinks for two seconds, looking downwards before looking back up at her ]
You wouldn't happen to have forgotten everything as well, would you?
no subject
--yes, how did you know? [Wait. He'd said "as well."
She slowly starts to approach him.] It's happened to you too, then. A complete blank.
[More or less. She has some visions, distant and foggy, of a life in a rural town.
He seems familiar, oddly.]

My current name is Kenpachi Ramasama. I lost my memories and real name not that long ago.
[ and as a result, his memories on how to get out of here. he figured that if someone else was also in this forest and didn't know how to get out that they might also have forgotten everything. after all, you don't really get this far in within knowing at least some vague way to get out or knowing what direction you came in ]
no subject
Other than that I should know more than I do, obviously.
I think we need to get out of these woods before we forget anything else.
no subject
Were you also given a task to get back your memories and name?
no subject
I don't necessarily understand it. It was cryptic. ["Let someone in."]
And yourself?
no subject
[ he kind of tilts his head as he says it. he kind of doesn't understand it but at the same time, he kind of does... he strangely has a lot of memories of eating weird things in a fridge?? ]
Do you mind if I ask what yours was?
no subject
Yours seems easy enough. Unless "strange" is poorly defined.
no subject
I understand.
[ he supposes if it's something personal, that's something she might not want to share with someone she just met. he's still trying to think why she seems familiar to him though and he's trying to find the exact memory that contains her ]
The witch wasn't very specific with her definition so I'll be avoiding eating anything for the rest of the day in order to avoid anything "strange". It's... frustrating, to say the least, forgetting everything.
no subject
She thinks she knows him. She doesn't know how.]
Yes, that's something of an understatement.
[She pauses.] Is "nothing" a strange thing to eat? Perhaps something bland like bread would be all right.
no subject
[ it sounds easy but it's pretty hard when you have to wait until a new day to just restart. it would be very frustrating to nearly succeed and then mess up when you eat something that falls under the "strange" category. asides from that, kenpachi has been spending this entire time going through whatever memories he does have left and although he can't get any memories of just specifically this person before him, he thinks he has at least seen her once or twice in his memories so maybe he should just come out and ask her bluntly if she also has these memories ]
... I know that we've both lost our memories but would you happen to remember anything about me? In a different life?
[ he has no idea if that even makes sense but he'll be willing to explain if not ]
no subject
She's working out what to say, how much to let on, and eventually nods, very slowly.] ...I think so.
I feel that I know you, but it's faint-- like a dream.
Do you, then...?
no subject
... I don't have any specific memories of solely you but I think you were in some of them.
[ he then brings up a hand to his chin, thinking hard and going through the memories he does have. it's not particularly easy, especially when he does have so many and she has always been part of the background or apart of a bigger group, but he tries anyway ]
A boy with short brown hair and headphones, a girl with long black hair and a red headband, a girl with short brown hair and green jacket, a boy with bleached hair and scar on his forehead, a girl with two red pigtails and pink earrings, and a large bear-like mascot costume.
[ he speaks slowly and with pauses in between each person he brings up, trying to remember their features and details ]
Do you remember anyone who matches those descriptions?
no subject
--or rather, she remembers that she remembers, though like him, the faces are shrouded, impossible to remember. And Naoto's eyes widen as he describes them one by one.
When he's done, the only thing she does is give a small nod.] Yes, all of them. Every single one.
I must know you then. That can't possibly be a coincidence, and-- [A pause] --there was a murder.
