[Welcome to the Emporium, an arcade bar that Minako and Sakura have decided to host their joint birthday party at! Come on in and have some fun playing games, eating junk food, and just hanging out with the birthday girls (and guy, if he decides to come).

There are, of course, the numerous arcade games that the place is known for, ranging from the old school 2v2 fighters to the shooting gallery kinds. But there are a smattering of other games as well, like DDR, darts, mini hoops, skeeball, and the pool table, too. There's also a wall of crane games in the back, with plenty of random and mostly cute prizes to win.

Make a stop by the purikura booth if you have time. Make some duck lips at the camera and then take the snaps home! (Or give them to the birthday girls for the memories.)

Oh, and be sure to exchange your money for tokens before you play all these games. The token machine seems kind of finicky, though. Maybe a strong (and hopefully discrete?) kick will help jumpstart it.

Walk to the dining area, and there'll be a feast waiting you! The arcade is providing a ton of pizza and wings, as well as alcohol, if you can show your ID. For dessert, there's the cake that Shuji made for the girls, as well as Minako's lemon tea cakes. Those are limited supply, though, so snag one before everyone eats it up.

Next to the dining area, there's a big sign that says "DUNK TANK OUTSIDE". Maybe take a look? Just be reaaaally sure you want to climb in before you do it, though. The towels provided by the arcade are pretty small.

And finally, if you need a break from the chaos, there's a couple of couches on the second floor. Take a load off and watch from above.]

Gravy... [ elizabeth considers it, then also nods slowly. ] I hadn't thought of it, but now... I believe I'll do so. Meat, Potato, and Gravy... Wonderful. Thank you—if I get a third dog, would you like to be its godfather in honor of your genius naming?

[ he huffs, clearly amused over this. ]

It would be my honor, y'know. I would take care of him like my own son.

Then consider yourself in the family. [ welcome you're rich now technically ig ] I wonder what sort of dog he should be... Alive, or a stuffed animal? Another shih tzu, or should I mix it up? I quite like papillions as well...

Papillon dogs are nice... but I think what's most important is having the dogs get along and also the connection you feel with it. [ he shrugs. ] Not that I know much about pets, but I guess I felt something when I met my cat.

[ something besides the slight unsettling feeling of having kei all up in his personal space, that is. ]

I felt the same thing with Potato. I looked at him and knew I wouldn't be able to bear to part with him... [ She was so sad that. she might have to. until Goro suggested she could adopt him. ] I also feel something when I meet cats, however... Every cat.

[ ... ]

A sneeze. [ This is the sad thing. ] We have two of them in house, and I adore them, but I haven't quite gotten over my cat allergies... should I ever be able to do so.

[ they are slightly less bad now due to Velvet Room Resident Bullshit but. as if i'd let her be completely allergy free. no. ]

That's sad. And there's only so much that allergy medication can do.

[ he wouldn't know what to do if he had picked up akage and then discover that he's allergic to cats. well, no, he knows what he would have done, but it's too sad to consider it.

yeah, he got attached to the cat in less than a week, but that's just how it is on this bitch of an earth. recolle. that. even so, the light bulb turns on in odasaku's head-- he has an idea. ]

I'll send you pictures of my cat. That way you can see her without allergies.

Would you, truly? I'd be very thankful. In exchange... Well, you aren't allergic to dogs, I assume, but I'll send you pictures of mine regardless. [ c: ] And perhaps some other very interesting creatures... How do you feel about fairies and dragons?

That'd be nice.

[ although the mention of fairies and dragons does pique his interest. ]

You have pictures of that?

I can procure some. [ Jack Frost is one.... She can ask Minako if she can take some pictures of her dragons too. Oh, actually—

she has Black Frost saved on her phone. Actually, she has him saved twice. There's her lockscreen and her wallpaper... but she'll only show him the first. ] In example, this is Black Frost. He's a mischiefmaker.

Oh...oh wow.

[ it's difficult for odasaku to not look impressed over this. he thought that she would show him drawings of fairies and dragons, not actual ones. ]

That's amazing.

[ they are very real, odasaku!! ]

Isn't it? They never look the way you imagine they should... [ what's that even mean, liz, cmon. ] For the most part. Kohryu is a dragon, at least.

[odasaku]

Now that I think about it...

[ he remembers the dragon that souji used to heal him a couple times...is that the one she's talking about? ]

You know someone named Souji?

[elevelvetor]

He's one of my friends, yes. [ BECAUSE OF COURSE THEY ARE. look at them. ] I'd say I'm surprised that you know him as well, but Souji's quite popular... I believe both the twins are.

[ or if they're not they should be!!!!!!! ]

[odasaku]

[ a twin? well, that's surprising. odasaku blinks, nodding slowly. ]

Huh, I never knew he had a twin. Although I never asked him either. [ he shrugs ] Anyways, I think he had a dragon.

[elevelvetor]

He does... That would be Kohryu. He's fond of pets as well. [ SHE HAS PET SO MANY GOOD BOYS, ODA. ] Well, perhaps that one's Kohryu... I wonder if he's gotten any more dragons? A friend of mine has two of them herself, and I met someone who could turn into a dragon earlier this very month.

[odasaku]

[ wooow... he nods, impressed toward all she says. ]

Someone that can turn into a dragon... I didn’t know we had so many dragons in the city. [ a pause. ] Much less dragons that like to be pet.

[elevelvetor]

It's quite incredible, isn't it? And perhaps there are more simply waiting to be discovered... or remembered, as it were. Perhaps Recollé will become a city of dragons.

[ ...that wouldn't be so bad. ]

That's quite fantasy-like though, and we seem to have people from all walks of life... both here and now, and in their memories. I wonder if they'd be able to adapt?

[odasaku]

I think that would be the biggest problem...a city of dragons wouldn't be bad as long as the city can adapt to their needs.

[ because...dragons and other fantastical creatures have different necessities than humans, right? ]

Like if suddenly we had a bunch of vampires...the city should adapt so we don't have a killing spree, or something like that.

[elevelvetor]

[ ...mm, she knows a vampire too, who doesn't want to kill humans—who doesn't want to have to do that at some point to survive, who would... ]

Do you suppose vampires have to drink human blood, or do you suppose they could substitute it somehow? Like in the Dusk series, where they drink animal blood instead... Retrospec has proven there is some truth to be found in fiction, at times.

[odasaku]

I guess that could be possible.

[ he shrugs. he doesn't know any vampires, nor is he one. ]

It'd be like vegetarians, I guess. They use other foods to substitute what they can't get from meat. But not everyone's gonna want that, y'know.

[elevelvetor]

Those people can work at blood banks.

[ this is said So Seriously ]

But if they drink the blood they take out for transfusions, wouldn't that be stealing?

[ why are they like this. ]

[elevelvetor]

[ oh... she hadn't considered that...... hmmmmmm. ]

It would be, wouldn't it... Perhaps there could be banks specifically made for vampires instead? None of the rare blood types would fill it, just the most commonly given one... thus the loss is relatively minimal. Though it depends, too, on how often they'd have to feed and how much they can actually get by on.

[odasaku]

[ odasaku puts his hand on his chin, actually thinking for a solution to this very hypothetical, very useless problem. ]

I guess that's where the Retrospec people come in. If they're smart enough to do all the things they do, then they can probably figure it out. [ he shrugs ] But maybe the solution is making something like synthetic blood.

Y'know, like baby formula and soy milk.
