0. magic noises

[ Her ability to teleport is a very recent development.

...Coming, naturally, after the month where it would have been the most useful. This is becoming a trend. Not that it would have mattered very much, seeing as—through a little, ah, testing—she can't teleport outside of the city quite yet...

Practicing this is a very important thing though—and she is at least taking some manner of care in who sees her doing it. Mostly because summoning a magic circle from her grimoire is a little strange and alarming, and suddenly stepping out from one is also... strange and alarming. Not that all ever goes as planned: given her newness at this, and how it isn't exactly as intuitive as handling Personas are, she's bound to make a few mistakes. Whether that's suddenly dropping into a fountain, getting stuck on a roof, or interrupting some study time by appearing out of almost nothing... just to name a few interesting situations.

Really, feel free to be anywhere, anytime for this; I'll write to match. ]

i. this girl is on fire

[ The other thing she's found her book can do is... summon a new Persona. Surt isn't one she's actually very familiar with, so there's two options here:

Catch her studying Norse mythology in the library, with her grimoire opened to Surt's page. It's important to note that Surt and Surtr don't look alike... at all......

OR

Catch her... at the beach, experimentally summoning him from her book and studying it for a moment before... lighting herself on fire.

........she's fine, this is more alarming than it actually looks. Surt absorbs fire. It's cool. Don't even worry about it. ]

ii. ghost adventures

[ One last and final thing she's gotten back recently: a sense for the spiritual. She can be found snooping around the forest, the shrine, and spots that boast some sort of haunted legacy as a result, like graveyards, abandoned places, Leviathan's Claw since she keeps buying "possessed items" from it... At pretty much any time of the day.

Particularly at night though (accompanied by Jack Frost), since spooks are supposed to be out and about then. The fact she doesn't really need sleep anymore is great for ghost-hunting. ...The fact the city is latently full of ghosts does not, but at least it's always fun to point it out to people.

Additionally, there's a post for PC-related spiritual things here; if you wouldn't mind filling it out if you think it might apply to you, it'd be much appreciated. ]

[ if this was anyone else, souji might have screamed, had a heart attack, would have summoned a persona that knew bufu to offset the fire but he knows elizabeth. he knows that she's a persona user so to see her just casually setting herself on fire, that seems to mean that she probably has a persona that can null fire or something. it's all good. he'll approach her while she's on fire ]

That's right. Surt... Mythologically speaking, he's a jotunn—a giant, rather—in Norse lore. He guards a fiery realm, and the flames he wields will engulf the Earth when Ragnarok occurs... or so it goes. [ ah, there, she's only got some little flickers remaining on her clothes. that's not so pressing. ] I feel quite invigorated by fire though—is this how you all feel when you pull this little party trick? I'm quite jealous.

Yeah, Mada allows me to heal from fire so it's nice.

[ another reason why souji just keeps setting himself on fire. it costs less sp to use an agidyne on yourself than a diarahan ]

Surt sounds like a fierce fellow. Could I see him?

Of course. [ and she'll summon him again with all the pomp and circumstance that requires.

he is....... just as stoic as thanatos. ] ...I fear Jack Frost may be the only chatty fellow I have right now... Regardless. Souji, this is Surt. Surt, this is Souji.

[ surt gives him a little nod, and a mumble that's probably something like, "good to meet you" but who knows honestly. ]

He's quite tall, isn't he.

Hello, Surt. You're quite the big fellow.

[ hmmm, souji looks at surt some more before he summons out mada. mada does not even come close to surt's height, especially if surt is still on its knees like in all the models ]

He's bigger than Mada. I'm impressed. He would make quite the basketball player with that height.

[ he is, and elizabeth looks between surt and mada. she's so pleased, she loves being her height and having much bigger persona. ]

Do you think they'd allow him on the court? [ ... ] If not, we could always simply make our own Persona Basketball Society... PBS.

[ it's been so, so long since sena's stood in front of a camera for a shoot in the studio, and frankly he misses the spotlight and all the eyes on him. everyone at the agency welcomed the missing models who were out on those missions with open arms, glad that they're back from a much needed vacation even though sena thinks that it's anything but.

anyways here he is, shifting from one pose to another; it's apparently a late valentine's special so he had to look his flirtiest on the camera when suddenly someone just. pops in rather uninvited. literally.

hi, elizabeth. didn't expect you to drop by like this, and neither does the cameramen. sena almost stumbles back in shock, blinking at her in utter disbelief with his mouth agape. ]

[ ooh—elizabeth blinks as she stumbles forward a step, holding tight onto her open grimoire.

blink. blink. she glances at the cameramen, then straightens up and closes her book. takes a few steps back from them and mizuki to give them all a one-handed curtsy, book pressed against her chest. ]

My apologies for interrupting your work... I hadn't meant to do so. [ ahem. standing back up...!!! ] Is there anything I could do to rectify this situation? Money, perhaps?

[ .......is she saying she'll pay for this silence SHE MIGHT BE SAYING THAT?? ]

[ UHHHHHHHHHH yeah this is hella awkward. but sena quickly recovers, laughing nervously as he approaches liz to grab her wrist and pull her away from the set, but not before politely telling the staff if he can take a quick break.

the cameramen didn't seem to find it too weird, thankfully enough, but sena's still bewildered as hell as he tugs her to the corner of the studio. ]

What the hell are you doing here? And what do you mean you can just pay for them to forget?

[ oh good they're going she can relax— oh, no, she's got an interrogation. okay, it's warranted, but she'll pat mizuki's arm all the same like this is. fine. it isn't fine but this is fine. ]

I'm very familiar with how the world works, Mizuki. Money talks, and money also ensures silence. Enough of it, at least. [ she sounds like a fucking mob boss. ] Regardless... I was practicing my teleportation and ended up here. I did want to see you, so perhaps that colored it somewhat...?

[ she's so clearly happy about this ] We spoke of my ability to do so last month, after all, and you were certainly one of the people I wished to show immediately... Though Yato-sama got the privilege of being the first person to experience it.

[Elizabeth did not warp in on Amelia stepping out of the shower, but she was wearing a flowing silk dressing gown while crossing her suddenly much more occupied living room. There were other things under the robe, of course, but she was clearly not expecting visitors. She's a grown-ass adult who lives alone, in her fancy penthouse. Emphasis on alone and snobbish.

There was also a book tucked under the older woman's arm—something about German swords—but it doesn't do five digits of damage. It's just light reading.]

[ Well, this is something she's certainly a little more used to seeing... The opulence at least. Not Amelia.

Who is immediately getting a deep, one-handed curtsy. ]

My sincerest apologies, miss. I'm not yet used to this method of traveling. [ She straightens up after another long moment, patting her grimoire once she closes it. ] I've only just discovered... rediscovered, I suppose... this book's ability to do so. My practice has led me into quite a few surprising situations, this one included.

[She's surrounded by teleporters, what is this.]

You should be more careful. [Amelia chides.] I wouldn't like to be the person who discovers you in a wall.

[What a...peculiar ability, though. The older woman spent some time looking at the floor where the magic circle had been, brows furrowed. It was only tile now, of course, but the light and glow made it impossible to miss before.]

[ In a wall... Elizabeth gives the wall a wary look, then nods. ]

I'll be certain to take care. For now, though... I'm sorry for imposing, but may I stay for a few minutes? I'll stay out of your way as best I can—I just need to take a moment. Too many jumps in a short amount of time makes me feel a bit... lightheaded.

[Amelia deliberates this, tapping her manicured nails against the book.

With a quiet but long-suffering sigh, she answers:]

I suppose. Don't touch anything.

[She was being generous today! Not calling security, or anything.

Still, she frowns again, squinting her eyes at Elizabeth. The older woman even turned to face her, still staring in intent confusion.

That was not Elizabeth, that...armored knight she just saw. Certainly not. And yet that circle was the same--if golden, rather than blue.]

[ Oh, thank goodness... Elizabeth gives her another small curtsy. ]

Thank you for your hospitality, Miss... [ ... ] Are you alright?

[Well seeing as Sakura is in the middle of shooting arrows at a target in the park and then suddenly HELLO ELIZABETH HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS FINE AFTERNOON--

There's a squeal, an arrow harmlessly shooting off into the distance, and Sakura clutching her chest like she's trying to ride out the three successive heart attacks trying to kill her.]

[ ......OH NO, SAKURA— she's immediately shutting her book and stepping closer, oh no ]

I'm very sorry for startling you, Sakura, I hadn't meant to... [ does she ever mean to do anything tho ] Are you alright? Shock aside.

[Her heart nearly shot out of her chest along with that arrow, frankly, but Sakura seems to have captured it back into her ribs, a hand pressed right below her clavicle as she gulps in air]

Y-yes... I'm okay--

[Actually no, hold up. Her head swivels in Elizabeth's direction]

Did you just appear out of nowhere?

[ ...A little laugh. ]

Yes, more or less. I've regain my... or rather, my book's, ability to teleport. Isn't it exciting?

[ooooooooo she is immediately putting down her bow, eyes glued to that boo now]

So is it a book of magic spells? Do you need incantations to work it?

Something like that, and no, not exactly. It's a wonderful grimoire that both summons my Personas and allows travel such as that... I believe it also aids in fusion, but I haven't gotten that ability.
