On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering near the edge of the woods. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a fine troop of horses and Chocobos alike. Saddled up and ready to go, these creatures know the way and anxiously wait for their riders even if it looks like some of you may need to share. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached.

Word of advice: feed them before you try to bring them back. They're touchy, but they're smart. They know the way to go and they'll be waiting to bring you back.

Following Zee's advice, you'll find yourself on a ride west of the city, traveling through the woods for about two hours. As you travel, first the forest seems to grow darker but then it's brighter as you go. In a way, it almost feels as though you're shrinking as everything around you encompasses the area, but rest assure you remain the same size you always were. The sounds of woodland creatures and soothing streams echo around you, greeting you as you enter a region known as Bosuma.

Bright, airy and open, Bosuma is a forest domain larger than life. Populated with towering trees and overgrown mushrooms, the forest is home mostly to animals from the sound of it and it’s rarely quiet. Chattering birds and the trickles of rivers make up the soundtrack for this area and it will take quite a while to walk anywhere to find some sort of civilization.

Everything seems to be existing in peace and harmony in this section of the world and the scent of wildflowers mists through the trees as you walk through. The forest itself seems endless and it would take multiple trips and multiple attempts at making a map to get an idea of how large the area really is. Hollows and burrows pop up every now and then and several mossy areas appear to be the home for several creatures.

The creatures, amazingly enough, aren’t afraid of human life and will even willingly approach anyone who wanders into their woods. Rabbits, raccoons, birds (finches and quails, most likely), squirrels and even deer will walk right up to you to greet you. Fish flow with the rivers and turtles and lizards bask themselves on the riverbanks to catch some of the sun shining down through the leaves above. However, even though it’s harder to find signs of civilization in this region it isn’t outright impossible. Some exploration will reveal cottages peppering the woods but people are still strangely absent in these parts. In fact, the cottages look as though they were vacated quickly and in hasty circumstances. Some homes have clothing strewn on the floor while others have fresh fruit and fish gathered and hunted for families. The animals won’t be able to answer any questions you may have, but after some time it becomes obvious they are prone to following human life.

As night falls though the animals begin to taper off. Rabbits dart back to their rabbit holes and deer prance off into the thickets of trees. Owls begin to hoot and other nighttime critters stir. The forest continues to glow at night and the mushrooms provide an eerie almost iridescent appeal to the dark. It’s only in the dark that it becomes a bit more obvious that you haven’t been as alone as you’ve thought.

The walls have ears and the trees have eyes, and at the stroke of midnight a swirl of magic flows through the air as several dryads step out from the trees, shyly approaching for a meet and greet.

They have placed their trust in you. Try not to let them down, will you?

This is the Team Three Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.

Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner!

People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following:

-Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts.
-Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are.
-Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.)
-Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur.

These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want!

That's the spirit!

[Derek claps James on the shoulder and goes over to the fire to pour him a cup of tea. He returns a minute later with a camping cup full of tea and offers it to James. He holds up two sugar packets.]

Sugar?

[ Wow, he thought the stereotypes about British people really liking tea were an exaggeration but maybe not. This guy is really excited about getting James some tea.

He takes the offered cup. ]

Uh, yeah, sure.

[ He holds out the cup to Derek. Pour it in, good man. ]

[Derek rips open the two sugar packets and empties their contents into the cup. He then pockets the trash.]

So, how exactly did you end up with a lack of clothing, if you don't mind me asking?

Monsters. Apparently I'm just a walking, talking piece of bait for all of them out in the woods, because I swear, at least eight of them went straight for me and no one else.

[ He blows on the tea a bit and then goes in for a sip. Yeah he burns his tongue, but if his tongue's burnt, then he can't really feel the temperature of the tea anymore, so it all works out as far as he's concerned. ]

[Derek raises his eyebrows at James's tale.]

That sounds absolutely horrifying.

[ He shrugs. ]

Horrifying? Not really. Mostly just a pain in the ass. And ribs. And shoulder. Basically everywhere they tried to stab or bite me.

How did you manage to get out of that predicament?

I had a lot of knives on me.

[ He sips on the tea some more. ]

Plus there were like two others with me who helped. One of 'em healed me up so good it's like I never even got hit at all.

Well, that was fortunate.

[Derek by this point, decides to lean up against a nearby tree. It's been a long day and he's tired, but he doesn't feel like being awkward and sitting on the ground while James is standing.]

How are you liking the tea?

[ He holds the cup out enough that he can look into it. ]

Kinda bitter. [ Yes, even with the sugar. ] I don't usually drink a lot of tea. But hey, it's warm.

[Derek nods understanding.]

Sorry about it being bitter. Even I usually put some cream in but... [Derek motions to the camping scene before them.] camping. What can you do right? So... other than loosing your clothes to attacking monsters, how has this whole... adventure thing been for you? I assume more entertaining than high school.

Pfft, please. You remember high school, right? You know this is more entertaining than whatever I was doing there. Plus, I don't get homework out here, so it's a win-win situation. So long as my family doesn't think I'm dead or anything.

[ Which is, y'know. A concern. He's worried them enough these past few months as it is. ]

[Derek thinks back to his antics in high school and starts chuckling.]

Hmmm... I don't know... [Derek's grin widens.] I pulled some bloody brilliant pranks while I was in high school. And I never got caught. My best one was putting a basketball players mustang on the school roof. He and I had this constant rivalry, he being on the basket ball team and I on the football team [He means soccer, but... English accent.]. His face was priceless!

[ Holy shit, that's incredible??? ]

How the hell do you put a guy's mustang on the school roof and get away with it?

[Derek smirks.]

Easy, there was construction going on at my school, so we already had access to a crane, I happened to be friends with one of the kid's whose dad owned the construction company. Also, we did it at night, and his car just happened to be there in the school parking lot because the whole basketball team had an away game so they all piled in a bus, leaving their cars all there.

Jesus, how much coordination did you do for this?

[ He could never plan a prank like that out far enough in advance to pull it off. ]

One does not perform a prank without careful planing. So the answer would be, A LOT. I mean, [Derek starts counting on his fingers.] I had to find out the basketball team schedule, but that's easy enough, just look on the school website, they have all the games on the school event's calendar. Then I had to convince my friend that taking his dad's keys for the crane that was at the school was... for a good cause and convince him that the prank would be successful. That took a while understandably. Then you had to locate the car and find a friend wiling to jimmy the lock, hot wire the car to put it in neutral. And then you need a bunch of friends to carefully move the car to where we would use the straps to wrap around the car to pick it up and place it on the roof, which you would want people up there to to carefully guide the car into the proper position. Plus, we had to do this in the dark, without scratching the car. It was a process. Pretty much, it took the whole soccer team and a promise of secrecy until months after graduation.

[ He laughs ludicrously. ]

That's insane. That's insane!

God, that's so awesome. They should've made that a class, just so that you could ace it.

[Derek chuckles at James reaction.]

It just goes to show that one can make high school interesting and fun if you put the effort in of course. And yes, if they had made Pranking 101 a class, I'm sure I would have been very successful in it. Would you have taken it?

Pfft, god, I wish. But no. I get in enough trouble as it is, Pranking 101 would just be asking for it.

[Derek smirks.]

I have a feeling there is a lot of pent up talent in you. What kind of extracurricular do you do?

[ He tries to keep the casual grin going, but it clearly grows a little strained. ]

Uh, none. Anymore. I used to be linebacker for the football team, though.

[Derek glances as James missing arm and understands instantly.]

Linebaker huh? I was more of a soccer person myself, captain of the team in high school. Have you thought of doing other sports? I've heard a person can do wrestling and other martial arts with just one arm.

[ ??? 'Soccer'? Strange choice of words for the Brit but okay. Maybe he knows to change his terms up around Americans. ]

You can play football with one arm too. That's not why I stopped.

[Believe me, ever time Derek says the word 'soccer' it's like the hardest word for him to say because his accent makes it difficult for him to say any "american" words.]

[Derek's eyebrows furrow in confusion and James answers.]

Then why did you stop, if you don't mind me asking that is?
