[ Akira's curiosity is unfortunately piqued by the sudden darkness, but what kind of person wouldn't find this strange and unsettling? There's a saying that curiosity kills the cat and that may very well be the case right now. He nicked the dome with his dagger and took a nasty shock... If only Yoshitsune or Kohryu was equipped, then he could have been saved.where's my cat bus?
You may find him passed out in the cold by the edge. Rest in peace, Akira. ]
[ The subway isn't foreign to Akira, but it's surprising how long Recolle has gone without it... But America was a bit behind when it comes to public transportation aside from some small yet impacted places. You may find him snooping around the ENTRANCE (A), fiddling with his bangs as he does so (is this suspicious), before heading him by himself. On other days, he may go with other people.wildcard
If you decide to join him and they get far enough, Akira points out an abandoned SUBWAY CAR (B) in the distance. Which car will they find?CAR 1 — He thinks it's worth investigating, looking through these personal belongings with no issues. Don't mind if he tries on some hats from the old era.
CAR 2 — He lies down on a bed and rates it on a 10-point scale. Eight times out of ten, he will ask your character to try it.
CAR 3 — He's suspicious of the food and doesn't plan on eating anything (yet), but he pitches that maybe your character should try some. For science.
CAR 4 — Oh, boy. Here are some choices to watch from Akira, though he doesn't... Seem comfortable if either of the last two play. If you would like a different memory, go ahead and pick from his regain list.MEMORIES
BIG BANG BURGER (VIDEO)🍔
Akira Kurusu decides to head to Big Bang Burger and take on their cosmic challenge.LOST THE GAME (1:26:56-1:29:00)🚪
Akira is brought to the velvet room and sentenced to death for losing the game. He's left to his twin executioners.FRAMED (QUICK SCENE, VIDEO)🔒
Akira intervenes what seems to be a quarrel between a drunkard and a woman. The man falls on his own and threatens to sue him.CODE BY TESSISAMESS CAR 5 — While it may seem better to book it, Akira decides to practice his skills on the skeleton car. Catch him by chance showing off... He's the type to climb on the car, scale its limbs, and be in the middle of danger. If you were with him since the beginning of the descent into this craziness, it doesn't change how reckless he is. With one slip, he may be crushed—a metal arm finally smacks him several feet back.
This is fine. He stays in the crater he made for himself, discerning what exactly happened. There's no groan or sign of fatigue in his movements as he picks himself up, but the car is preparing its charge.
When they reach the HUB (C), you're right to assume he's going to take pictures of everything... Including a selfie that they've found something. Hooray! High spirits. Keep up the morale. After the fun is through, he mentions how surprising it is to have this system. ]
[ you do you ]
TEAM MOCHI
And, like a blessing or a curse, there's an abandoned subway car. It won't be running, but they may be closer to the center. Venturing in, they find an assortment of instruments, audio equipment, records... Are these vinyl? Akira is definitely checking these out and patting off the dust. The car thinks they've taken a liking to it, so it shuts all of its doors before the song plays. IT's SHOWTIME!! ]
... Was that any of you guys?
[ Please say yes. The screen in front of them turns on abruptly, static at first before it gets clearer. ]
no subject
When they had spotted the car with the audio equipment, Elliot was the first to dash in to check it out, like a moth to the flame. He started looking through the equipment. Most of it is really old, outdated- but it was still cool none-the-less. He's like a kid in a candy shop over here.
He doesn't suspect a thing, until the doors shut and music starts playing]
H-Huh? I don't think so-
[About the screen, the static clears up to show the inside of what looks to be a cargo room? A storage room? The walls and floors are all metal- but it's not clear WHERE this is. There's a lot of hustle and bustle as teenagers move around and talk- as if they are prepping for something. Some are in casual clothing, while some are in green or white school uniforms. None of their identities are clear.
Except for this girl that is. She sits in the center of the screen, chipping away at a block of stone with a sculpture chisel with the skill of a true artist, completely ignoring all the hustle and bustle around her. When's the last time that she slept? When's the last time her hair's been brushed? It's impossible to say: all that matters to her is her art.
Elliot, his attention going to the screen, seems to recognize what's going on]
O-Oh! This is-!
no subject
The audio car however? Much more interesting. He's not as fast into the car as Elliot is, but it doesn't take him much longer to clamber inside and start examining the out-dated equipment, oddities and all. He's about three seconds from finally taking out his book and starting a sketch, when the doors shuts and everything goes weird. ]
... ? [ He glances around, before spotting the image on the screen around the same time Elliot does. And it resonates with him, regardless of whether or not it's his memory. Getting trapped in that bubble of art - he can almost see it in the way that woman is focused on her art and nothing else. A medium he knows nothing about, true, but art nonetheless. He knows that feeling, that pose. Lives it quite frequently. ]
Is that someone you know, Elliot?

FOR YU
Still in high spirits, he opens the door to the car with enthusiasm. ]
After you, Lord Narukami.
[ Gracious bow. ]
no subject
Thanks.
[ a murmur without inflection, and nothing more. He does have Mada out, his steadfast lantern. ]
At least it's been quiet.
no subject
[ Thanks for giving him that benchmark. Akira grins from ear to ear as he enters the car, leaving the door open. Look, Yu?? He found a triangle.
And he's going to ring it once, creating a poignant ding. This is his calling. ]
Though I am kind of disappointed we haven't stumbled upon something to fight.

FOR PROMPTO
So here they are! Ready to exchange notebooks at Akira's choice of location—in front of a haunted house. ]
Is it all right to read some of them out? Or is that too embarrassing for you.
[ Akira would die if Prompto reads any of his aloud, but he must stay strong. ]
no subject
Dunno about embarrassing.
[prompto can't even remember how he got roped into this, but it seemed like a nice idea. he and akira didn't know each other at too much of an intimate level for any of these things to make them feel too ashamed of admitting any dark secrets of happiness. besides, it helps the whole getting comfortable around others if it's with a relative stranger, right?]
You seeing my boxers is pretty up there. [he smiles at the other boy] Besides, it's kinda the point to share what we feel about it, right?
no subject
They’re just boxers. At least it wasn’t lingerie. [ Like... Someone’s... ] My frail, maiden heart is in your care, Prompto.
[ HERE WE GO. ]
I’m grateful for my cat. It might sound silly, but he showed me that having some kind of company is nice and helped me open up... He probably finds me annoying for practicing conversations on him, though.

WHY HE'S ONLY A YOUNG LAD
A-TEAM (ann, futaba, yusuke)
She might not be able to show them the whole map of the tunnels, but that's fine. They do stumble upon a car that looks quite luxurious. It has a kitchen in the back, velvet seats, gold accents—spoiled food. Oh, boy. With a squint, he finds some familiar burgers and another familiar name. ]
Someone left their food here...
[ Both rotten and fresh. He picks up a wrapped Big Bang Burger before tossing it to whoever replies to this comment first. ]
no subject
[ akira's tossing the burger to ann, but she steps back, trying to avoid it. it falls on her shoe and she kicks it away, regardless if it's fresh or rotten. ]
You can't be serious, you don't know where that's been!
[ TECHNICALLY THEY DO...but...she's not going to take any chances!! ]
no subject
Do you think some of these are still edible?

Makoto walks over to see that they're knocked out cold. He doesn't want to leave him alone in this darkness. He takes a seat next to him, shining his light to the dome in front of him, while he waits for him to wake up.]
no subject
It doesn't change his actions, either. Abruptly, he grabs onto Makoto's ankle like he came straight from the Grudge movie. ]

The game–? [ what kind of execution was that, for losing “the game”, are you serious? please don’t be talking about that game everyone played in middle school and screamed in the hallway when they were reminded and lost. no, this looked more serious. this looked eerie and foreboding once a serious execution is mentioned, and without looking at akira for the time being, he lifts his hand and gestures with a wave, as if to call him over. ] You know what this is supposed to mean?
no subject
Deep breaths, Kurusu. At least it's weird? At least Eren doesn't understand the weight on his shoulders from the memory. All it looks like is that he's a prisoner with no escape. ]
I'm actually not sure. [ A lie. ] But it must have been important. Good thing I survived the execution somehow.
[ There's a rather large gap in his memory from that point to the end of the game, but he knows that they make it. They also make things right in the world, but something about your allies betraying you in your moment of need is disturbing. ]
Sorry that you had to see that. I have cooler memories, I promise.

Dome Nope Town
[There was some cracking of sticks underfoot, and a brief presence looming over Akira.]
Why do people keep fucking doing this?
[Not that Lucy was considering doing something like hit the shield thing herself, of course. At least not after she saw so much evidence first hand as to why that was an awful idea.
Something that felt like a hand grabbed the back of his jacket's collar, lifted up, and began to pull. The least Lucy could do was drag him closer to a road where someone could call an ambulance, instead of leaving the latest victim in the woods. Preferably while he was still unconscious and before anyone noticed her being a responsible citizen.
Sorry about the roots and rocks.]
no subject
It's cold.
[ But he doesn't sit up just yet. Instead, he looks at his surroundings, seeing that he is considerably further away from the dome. Huh. And then he sees Lucy... Oh. It may be dark, but he can make her out with the use of the Third Eye. ]
Hey, Lucy. What are you doing here?

LET'S GO TO CANDY MOUNTAIN, BUCKY
At least the ambiance is heavy in the air. The building has its own trademark noises, too. There's the gust of wind that whistles through the cracks in the windows, then the creaks when it passes through shoddy doors. ]
Glad you can make it.
[ Though it's pitch black, it's like... 4 pm, so how can someone not make it? Akira shines his flash light on and off when James makes an appearance, as if knowing he's here despite not using the light earlier. ]
you're giving me war flashbacks with that title
And James's response: "Great, so you agree--dad can't find out we were ever here."
When they spot the flashing light, they hurry over the last few steps to Akira. ]
Yeah, well. Didn't give me much choice, did you?
