when the day met the night.

Welcome to a day of celebration, merriment, and way too much blue.
i. before the ceremony.
[The preparations begin early, with both grooms spending a bit of time helping with the last minute stuff behind the scenes. In lieu of a traditional chapel, they use the temple as a sort of neutral ground. It's decorated in shades of white and blue, white tapestries and blue carpets and ribbons, with hints of light blue scattered throughout as well as gold accents. The entire venue looks very soft, and the chairs are arranged in neat rows for the ceremony. Soft classical music plays as people walk in and sit down, provided by the very talented live band in the corner.
For those who know Sorey and Mikleo, this has been a long time coming. They've been attached at the hip since they were only a handful of years old, and the turbulence in Recollé has only strengthened their feelings for each other. Some people attending know them through their work at Club Sunshine or elsewhere, and some know Sorey through his work as a tutor and teacher. Some people might barely know them at all, but the air is nonetheless celebratory and welcoming to just about anyone who wants food and doesn't mind giving well-wishes to a new couple.
Any wedding gifts are left on a big table with flowers, and anyone who wants a corsage is encouraged to take one. Another table holds a big guest book decorated in ombre blue and gold. Sign your name!
Curiously, there is also a shrine set up instead of a podium. There are various small bowls with offerings of rice and incense, as well as some empty ones. A small lucky cat sits atop the shrine as well as several 'elements' in pretty glass bowls: a pearl in water, a perfect quartz crystal, a downy feather, and a sweet-smelling lit candle.
Sorey waits to greet people who walk in, dressed in a mostly-white suit with blue lapels and gold thread. As it gets closer to time, however, he moves to the front of the room to speak to the officiant and the best people (Prompto and Minako, of course), and endure last-minute fretting by his mother (who is sitting in the front row). Sorey looks nervous but anyone catching his eyes will earn a smile and a hearty hello.

ii. walking down the aisle.
[The beginning of the wedding march begins to play, and a hush overcomes the crowd. Everyone is encouraged to sit down, and all eyes turn toward the back of the room.
Mikleo steps out wearing a dark blue princely suit in a similar style to Sorey's, but with a few more feminine flourishes. Anemones have been braided into silvery waves and drawn into an elaborate updo that still allows all of those curls to flow down his shoulders. His face is halfway-obscured by a gossamer veil, matching the blue ribbon and tulle wrapped about the bridal bouquet. He walks slowly, but with purpose, stepping beneath the roses arching over the aisle.
The music grows somehow quieter in that moment, and it's just quiet enough that Sorey can be heard wailing. He covers his mouth but it's too late-- it's pretty damn obvious to everyone gathered that he's sobbing.
Mikleo picks up the pace a little when he hears that. He reaches Sorey and the officiant and immediately whips out a handkerchief to dab at Sorey's tears.
The brunet mutters an apology.] Y-you're just so beautiful, I can't help it.
[Mikleo takes his place and nudges Sorey to turn around, trying to hide his own tears.] Honestly. You're going to make me cry, too.
[The ceremony goes on. It's a balanced blend of the familiar ceremony people are expecting as well as another curious addition before the vows. The priest pours sake into a small cup, which Sorey sips from and then gives to Mikleo. Then sake is poured into a different cup and given to Mikleo instead, who sips from it and offers it to Sorey. Then a third larger cup is poured, and the sake shared again. The officiant asks outright for the blessing of the spirits. Both grooms take a moment of silence to offer their prayers at the shrine, and then it's on to the wedding vows.
Sorey takes Mikleo's hands delicately as the officiant reads, his gaze moving from pale fingers to the purple eyes behind the veil. His puppy look is real and disgustingly saccharine. Mikleo's eyes dance with amusement and happiness as he gives those hands a squeeze.
The brunet offers Mikleo his ring first: a gold wedding band that fits snugly against the emerald ring he was given months ago. His fingers quiver slightly as he slides it on, but he manages not to drop it.]
I give you this ring as a sign of my vow. I pledge to love you and to keep you, in this life and the next.
[Mikleo offers Sorey's band, matching emerald and gold in a delicate pattern with feathery flourishes. Smoothly, he repeats:]
I give you this ring as a sign of my vow. I pledge to love you and to keep you, in this life and the next.
[The officiant goes on for a little while longer, gently lecturing on the importance of mutual respect and unconditional love. And then, at last, he calls for the couple to kiss.
Sorey reaches out with trembling fingers to lift Mikleo's veil and tug it back. He leans in carefully as Mikleo's hand wraps around his wrist-- and then Mikleo yanks Sorey close enough to knock him off balance, dipping him into a kiss before the audience. Sorey flails a bit but he accepts his fate. It's not the first time Mikleo's surprised him and it probably won't be the last... At least they're not falling down a hole somewhere.
And then it's over. Time for some photos!]

iii. the reception.
[The guests are shown into the reception which is decorated much in the same way as the ceremony hall. Fancy plates, blue and gold everything, two dozen round tables with bubbles and candy for everyone.
A large area before the stage has been converted into a dance floor. On the stage, the band is given a few minutes to prepare, but thankfully they've hired a wonderful DJ to fill in the gaps. The music played during the reception is definitely more modern but there's some nice classics in there too. More importantly, having a DJ allows the actual live musicians to get in a bite or two.
And the food. Taste may not be back completely just yet, but it hasn't stopped catering from going all out. The cuisine is a lovely mixture of hearty Irish cuisine and Japanese fusion, with twists on quite a few of the dishes. The star of the show is slow-cooked curry made with Guinness, but there's okonomiyaki, various kinds of sushi, miso soup, freshly served ramen with all the fixings, teriyaki tofu and chicken, pork katsu, lamb and potato stew, potato pancake, spit-roasted poultry and lamb, shepherd's pie, various kinds of berries and fruit, and colcannon with ginger.
On the sweeter side there is a gigantic watercolor cake and at least five different kinds of ice cream, though the tastiness of sweets is currently up for debate.
On the opposite side of the room from the band, a full bar has been set up. There are stools for people to sit on and someone mixing drinks. People will be carded and then given a bracelet so they can just get refills without worrying about it. There's plenty to drink, too-- wine of all colors and champagne, mixed cocktails, the harder stuff, Irish stouts and mead, hot toddies, and even sake.
With the cake cut and the toast done, the roasting begins. As expected, Sorey and Mikleo's mothers take turns telling embarrassing stories about the couple, which has Sorey hiding his head in his hands with how embarrassed he is. There's time for their closest friends to talk shit about them if they so choose.
Sorey and Mikleo take the first dance, but it isn't long before they gesture for everyone else to join them.]

iv. closing time.
[After the festivities wind down a bit, Sorey thanks everyone again and reminds them to sign the guestbook if they haven't already. Mikleo also encourages their guests to take leftovers, because there's way too much food! They wish the guests a happy new year as well.
When they're done, Sorey takes Mikleo's hand and leads him outside. It isn't a horse-drawn carriage or anything, but the fairly new used car they've financed is close enough. He lets Mikleo into the passenger side first and then hops in himself. With a wave, they drive towards home, and then it's time for the crowd to disperse.
There's no honeymoon in the future, but that's only because there isn't a giant underground temple beneath Recollé. ... That they know of.]

Closed to Musicians (and their roadies)
[After over a month of practice, the big day is finally here. Between Angela and Elliot's passion and drive for music, rehearsals had been surprisingly tough ordeals. They would settle for nothing less than perfection, and no flaw in their playing went unnoticed. Even Elliot, while never raising his voice or showing actual anger, had a demeanor about him during practices that were a bit reminiscent of a drill sargent. Hope you got through the month unscathed.
But now, the day of the wedding was here. The musicians were asked to come early for set up. Now was the chance to make sure everything is ready to go. Elliot's around, helping with set up, and is in very bright and surprisingly confident spirits. Now's your chance to help set up sound equipment, tune your instruments, make sure your ties on right, or shoot the breeze with your fellow musicians before you're put to work. ]
II/III. Shift Change
[The ceremony performance went off without a hitch. There were many tears, and no one messed up their parts. Good job team! But now it was time to help set up for the next round of players. Help with moving equipment or help figure out any last minute hiccups.
Or perhaps this is later in the evening, when the live band can play no more and they need the DJ to step in. Please don't collapse on the floor or smash any guitars.
Or perhaps if you're tired of the crowds and sounds, you're hanging out in a stock room that only wedding staff are allowed in. Take a moment to relax, enjoy the quiet. Be stealthy sneaking any bites of catered food resting there. ]
IV. Freedom.
[At long last, it's all over. You survived a month of rehearsals and playing at the wedding. Now all that needs to be done is to pack up everything and head out. Or maybe you're too tired to move after everything, and you need a moment to lie on the ground and die. Either way, you guys did great]
[OOC: This is a toplevel for the musicians and anyone that's helping them out. To break it down, the musicians are broken down into three groups. They are:
- Group I: Classical group that plays during the ceremony. Members are Akira K. (cello), Elliot (violin), John E. (piano), Light A. (harp).
- Group II: Modern rock band that plays during the reception. Members are: Angela (vocals/guitar), Faolan (bass guitar), Elliot/John E. (Switch off for piano) and Yosuke (guitar).
- Group III: The DJ that handles things whenever Group II isn't performing. It's just Dave. Sorry Dave.
Any additional instruments needed are covered by NPCs. All members of the band were paid in advanced a nice amount, and were allowed to bring a guest. Performers, feel free to make your own top levels enjoying other parts of the wedding!]

[Light would have felt more nervous about his upcoming performance. Except that Elliot had kind of ground that fear right out of him with the relentless rehearsal. Never mind that he'd never performed with a group and never mind that they'd kind of cobbled together sheet music he could read by making a half-assed version in braille in case he couldn't memorize everything.
Light's fairly certain he's dreamed about playing this music for several weeks now. So he's gotten his very large harp into place
thanks for driving, Zack!and tuning it to perfection.]A good way to start the year, wouldn't you say? [He says to whomever is nearby.]
IV. Freedom!
[After finishing his part of the music during the ceremony, Light removes his large harp and then kind of sits off to the side during the reception. Just taking a moment because that had been mentally and physically exhausting. He might be sitting there shaking his right hand and alternatively manually curling up the fingers of his left hand with his right.
That might look really odd to someone walking over.]

[Technically Faolan doesn't have to be here until the afterparty, but he figures it would be rude to show up after the fact, even if he doesn't know either of the grooms. Never mind there is the chance that he could run late, that something could happen and he could risk leaving the band without their bassist, he'll have a much better idea of the feeling of the guests, the atmosphere of the whole event, if he attends from the start. (And he's pretty sure, after the amount of practice leading up until this day, that Elliot may or may not have flayed him alive if he were to even suggest of thinking otherwise anyway.)
Glancing down at himself, Faolan adjusts his tie for what may be the tenth time today already, sliding his hands down the lapels of his jacket once more as well. He'd definitely had to rent a suit for this, and he's not quite comfortable how it feels, though at least Laurent had reassured him that he looked good in it, and if Laurent had said that there has to be at least a grain of truth to it.
Once the ceremony is over, while the guests are gathering to congratulate the couple, Faolan gathers with the band in the reception area to prepare to be the live entertainment. Making sure his borrowed bass is in tune and that he's got everything set up that he needs to before taking a breath and glancing around at his fellow musicians.]
Looks like it's nearly show time, yeah? [He murmurs, his Irish accent soft and lilting as he tries to sound a lot calmer than he is. It's been a while since he's performed in front of more than an audience than one or two people.]
II/III. SHIFT CHANGE
[Faolan lets out a breath as the band ends their set for now and they break to allow for drinks, bathroom breaks, food, and conversation. He's borrowed the bass he's been playing and as such he takes extra care as he sets it down before stepping away from their setup to order himself a drink and try and relax. It isn't that he's never played in front of a crowd, and it isn't that he doesn't enjoy it either. It's just been so long since the time when this was his life and he gave it up for other pursuits. Speaking of, he picks himself up again and makes a move to turn and look for his young charge across the crowded reception area, nearly succeeding in dumping his drink on the body he's turned around into (but managing, thank all the gods, to catch himself in the last moment, because that's the last thing he needs is to ruin someone's fancy suit or dress).]
Sorry! God, sorry, I'm sorry, I should have been watching where I was going that was nearly -- [He stutters, awkwardly, making to apologize to the guest in question.] My head's in the clouds.

[Before the ceremony begins, one might be able to catch a moment with Sorey. He's understandably nervous and he keeps looking at his phone, or glancing back towards the door where Mikleo will step out of in a few minutes.
He's also available afterward (still rubbing his teary eyes) for photos, selfies, etc.]
[III. CLOSED (to mikleo)]
[Sorey leans in as 'Can't Help Falling in Love With You' plays. It remains one of his absolute favorite songs; he has yet to find a cover of it that he doesn't like, and he doesn't mind the original either. His eyes sparkle at Mikleo in the low light as he rests their foreheads together.]
Did I tell you you're beautiful?
[He's pretty sure he could just sway like this forever. For now, though, he's happy squeezing Mikleo's hand while the other rests on his hip.]
[III. the reception]
[After Sorey's done dancing with Mikleo, he's happy to twirl other people around! He's not an excellent dancer by any means but he knows slow dance and some really questionable freestyle.
Otherwise, he can be found chomping down on some curry because the cake tastes really un-cake-like and that's a goddamn travesty.]
[IV. wildcard]
[Tackle me with whatever!]
he's so smitten jesus christ
Many times over the year, though this is the second time you've cried over it.
[A gentle tease at his now-husband. He squeezes Sorey's hand back. Honestly...it's kind of amazing how much more comfortable he is at being called beautiful from his best friend. They've come a long way from the beginning of all these shenanigans.]
But you're looking exceptionally handsome tonight. You clean up very nicely.

And appreciative of the fact that there's a DJ to give the band a chance to catch a breath, grab a drink, and allow Faolan himself to make his way across the room to Sorey himself. He has to catch him in a moment when he's not surrounded by the other guests vying for his attention, but when he does he offers him a smile, raising his glass to him before holding out his hand to shake. His voice soft, accent a softly lilting Irish as he offers:]
I'm sure I'm not the only one happy that today has gone off without a hitch so far. I know that I'm only just some bloke in the band to you, but. Congratulations. Really.

[ in dress uniform, eren can be found mingling around the wedding as a plus one, standing to greet the people he knew and navigating to give his congrats to the knewly wed and company. he’s a reserved, young air force man, but he’s respectable. through most of the ceremony, though, eren happens to be keeping a very close eye on the musicians (okay, one in particular, melting doe eyes of admiration and all), paying more attention to them than the actual grooms. sorry about that . . . you see, that violin is just on point, plus his cousin’s up there too, along with a few friends and acquaintances, so he quite likes watching. want to come up and say hello to a man in uniform? maybe call him out of his blatant eye flirting from afar.
he does pay more attention to the important part of the ceremony, and seeing two people happy like that— how can you not feel the warm things for them. it’s too early to think about these sort of things himself, but. he’s happy for them. it pulls heartstrings to see people really like each other. ]
III
[ and then it’s time to eat! if you’re waiting in line for a plate, whether it’s for actual food or cake, don’t mind him handing one to you. there might even be cake in it already. he is a fine gentleman that serves the country, giving up a piece that could be for him. as music starts to place and dancing starts up, eren shys away— although still standing farther off to the side and looking like a chaperone. maybe he’s waiting for someone. someone that makes his hands sweat, apparently, he’s been trying to dry them on his trousers constantly. ]
III
Whew, finally got some time away.

[Tatsuma's always been the quiet sort by nature, but today he is even moreso, having only really dragged himself out because he knows how important this is. His gift, a pair of handmade mugs are set on the table and badly wrapped, but the pieces themselves are solid and well made, and should last approximately forever so long as they aren't dropped.
Tatsuma himself remains by the food. His suit is simple and still feels unfitting, but most things do in little ways right now. He never really made a habit of seeking out people to talk to, but that goes double for today, contenting himself with trying to see what foods taste properly food-like.
He will, at least, respond if anyone else talks to him first. But other than that, you guys do you.]

[ ann is here, dressed in red and her hair tied into a single ponytail rather than her usual pigtails. mako is her date, but she's probably ventured off somewhere without him to admire the scenery! she's excited for the newlyweds and her face is totally lit up. ann loves weddings, okay, and she's excited to be here.
however, she appears to be taking a long time at the guest book. she has a golden pen in her hands, but she isn't writing anything down. care to investigate? ]
III. the reception
[ after mikleo and sorey exchange their vows, ann heads over to the reception and can be seen drooling over the watercolor cake and the ice cream. she's not...taking anything? but there are definitely stars and hearts in her eyes while she's looking at the sweets.
she's also going to hit up the dance floor, and if you look like you want to dance--or maybe you just look too shy to come onto the dance floor--ann will drag you on. ]
Come on! I love this song!
[ welp. this is your life now. ]
III. closed to mako
[ so. slow dance time, and ann immediately searches the crowd for her boyfriend. she wants to share this moment with him, and it's a really nice song, too. once she finds him, she latches on to his wrist and pulls him onto the dance floor with a knowing look on her face. ]

[Well. Zaveid was invited to the wedding; it's not like he's going to not show up. Mikleo and Sorey both will get a fairly generous-sized present-- don't worry, he didn't do anything over the top; it's mostly just a huge box hiding some nice-looking cooking tools and a decorative kendo sword. But that's not important right now, mingling is!
Zaveid is in a nice suit, which makes him look faintly ridiculous considering this is a man who is almost always in blue jeans and a shirt that's at least two years old. But hey, here he is, looking pretty happy to be here.]
III
[Unfortunately for Zaveid, he is absolutely a romantic at heart. Fortunately, he doesn't actually cry at the wedding but it's definitely one of those things that's a near miss. He can be found piling on pretty much everything onto his plate when it comes to the food; he wants to try it all especially with most taste having been restored.
Of course, food isn't the only thing on his mind. He'll be going up to various people who don't look like they have dates, men and women once the music starts.]
Care for a dance?

[Sakura might not be as close to them, but all the same, she appreciates the invite, to her first wedding. She did dress nicely for the occasion, at least, as she arrives, though hesitant, and signs the guest book for them.
She does get curious about the shrine, approaching to see what was left there, wondering on the significance of some of the items. Though she doesn't touch any of it.]
iii:
[She is a minor, so obviously can't partake in the alcoholic beverages, but still. She's mingling, enjoying herself in chatting to some familiar faces at least, while having some food (definitely preferring the Japanese dishes) and non-alcoholic drinks.
Sakura seems content to chat, to watch the others dancing. Though she won't say no if someone were to ask her if she wanted to join in said dancing.]

[prompto seems super excited to arrive, and on time! with his dumb date who seems more interested in just going straight for the table with the gifts to drop off their gift card... prompto doesn't even want to be affiliated to it. he's wearing a suit he picked out together with sorey because what's a best man to do? he greets whomever he recognizes as he approaches with a bright smile, camera hanging from around his neck.]
Is this the line for the guestbook? Man, everything's so pretty!
B.1. RECEPTION, THE DANCING
[he spends the first dance of the couple taking pictures and filming, very focused and concentrating on the task. when the couple calls in for the rest of the group to join them, and prompto's happy to follow the crowd. he keeps snapping shots of the dancing crowd while in the midst of it, but he doesn't really join them despite his bouncing shoulders and swaying to the music, as he's careful to not bump his camera into anyone.]
[at one point, he leaves the camera off with noctis (if you're gonna be boring about dancing!!) so he can go join the crowd when a more lively song comes around. he'll hold your hands if you're not really feeling the beat, trying to push some bounce into you. at least jump on your feet and bob your head!!]
[okay, maybe he's had a drink or two]
C'mon! It's a great song!
B.1.5. RECEPTION, TWO BLONDS (ANN)
[at one point, prompto ends up bumping into ann on the dancefloor. it's like he hasn't seen her in weeks, or something, because he immediately holds on to her, one arm around her shoulders, calling to the DJ when the song inevitably comes to an end. lady gaga was playing just now. prompto goes to the gym with ann enough already, and they've shared their general music interests before.]
[so it's with confidence when he demands] Edge of Glory! Edge of Glory!
[...the DJ all but stares, before tapping at his laptop and shuffling the song. it does start slow, but stupidly enough, it's as if ann and prompto have rehearsed a choreography for this before]
May I have this dance?
[he does a curtsy--a little exaggerated, okay maybe four drinks already--holding out his hand to her]
B.2. RECEPTION, THE EATING
[after dancing, prompto's sweating and tugging at his bowtie and pushing his hair back off his forehead a bit]
I'm so hungry. What's good?
[everything in the buffet tables looks great, but he's on the other end where the bar is. seemingly unawares, he orders some rumcoke. another, one.]
[please direct him to the food]
C. GOOFING ABOUT WITH A CAMERA
Hey! Say cheese!
[he grins wide, holding the camera upwards and towards the crowd, snapping a number of shots]
[do you want to get photographed formally? or would you like a selfie in a bit of a fun moment? just topple into him!]
you know
[ let's be real ann's probably had at least one or two drinks....but it's funny because ann was just about to look for prompto too when he holds onto her? she wraps an arm around his shoulders, and brightens up immediately when edge of glory comes on. ]
Hell yes, you can have this dance!
[ she takes his hand in his, falls to his side...and then starts doing some funky moves during the slow part just to take up time before the song starts to pick up again. ]

Togusa
Togusa was somewhat surprised to get an invitation, but, apparently, few things create a bond between people like trying to destroy a giant robot with only a pitchfork as a weapon between the three of you. Mikleo earned a lot of Togusa's respect during that entire month. It wasn't his job to protect people, but nothing would have torn that man out of the Retrospec building.
Togusa is here alone, which may surprise a few people. He didn't even get the memo about the color scheme but wore his blue tie anyway (he likes blue, he is very happy to have it back, okay?) He is a little reserved, but has a bright smile for anyone approaching him. They all need a day of happiness.
III:
Togusa knew that it was a bit of a joke that Mikleo told him he was here to keep people in line. So he's trying to stay relaxed, he's off the job, when the reception rolls around. Let everybody have their fun.
The attempt is only working so far. He is still a little stiff, unsure of what to do with himself, so he keeps to the tables. Conversation comes easily, but he is declining any drinks, and staying far away from that dance floor.
III
This is Elda's attempt to save him through conversation. Or maybe trap people in conversation? Both could work, as she comes over in her own purple dress and with her sunglasses. She didn't end up matching the blue which... maybe she should have, but she's only a tangential connection anyway so it's fine.
Still, Togusa. Might as well talk him up.

[It's finally the big day! For Sorey and Mikleo's wedding, she's hurrying around with her usual energy in a soft blue dress. Of course she would've been too busy before and during the ceremony to talk, but at the reception you can catch her doing any number of things.
She'll be out on the dance floor, ready to dance with anyone and everyone! Slow dancing, wild flailing-- whatever you want to do, she'll match your pace. Though admittedly she's having a lot of fun twirling in circles on her own and swishing her dress around her legs. Small pleasures.
At some point, she'll leave to take the mic and the stage for a song dedicated to the newlywed couple.
"For Sorey and Mikleo, who share an unfathomably deep connection that grows stronger and sweeter every day."]
♫ How many times do I have to tell you
Even when you're crying you're beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood...
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
All your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections ♫
[Is she tearing up as she sings? Absolutely. Soon after you can find her mingling around the tables or the bar, eating as delicately as she can, or sipping sake. And...yeah, she's got that Asian glow, and the giggles to go along with it.]
Okay, okay-- be brutally honest. How red in the face am I? I swear I've only had. [...] Four drinks. No, three. It was three.
[David is her plus one, so she can be frequently seen with him throughout the afternoon. Maybe make a comment about that?! It's not the first time they've been out in public together, but it is the first time that public has been a majority of Minako's friends.
Eventually the newlyweds leave and the party winds down, but that doesn't mean Minako's job is over. Having somewhat sobered up, she'll be helping pack leftovers and seeing everyone off from the venue, offering hugs and thanks for coming to the wedding. If you happen to stay behind, Minako will be singing one of the songs from the band playlist as she cleans up. Well, less cleaning up and more like having fun doing some more twirling as she walks from one area of the venue to the other.]
So darling, darling-- oh! Hey, I didn't see you there. Did you forget something?
[Or maybe you just want more leftovers?]
Mingling
I'm afraid I'd have to take a guess on how inebriated you are. You do sing very well, though.

III/IV
The invitation may have been open to everyone but he doesn't feel comfortable attending the wedding of someone he doesn't know, when weddings are so personal and... emotional.
So Laurent hangs back and slips into the reception, picking up a glass of champagne out of politeness and thoughtfully eyeing the miso soup.
He's a little hungry but isn't quite certain if he feels comfortable eating food meant for wedding guests when he certainly feels like an imposter. This smell, though, it is all very good -- he rips his attention away from it to prompt a person nearby instead: ]
Do you know what time the bands are meant to play? I'm afraid I don't have a programme.
[ Or, perhaps later once Laurent has watched his friends play, you'll catch him finally giving in and serving himself some miso soup. He takes a careful sip, turning around -- then startles upon realising he was about to walk into someone else lurking near the food. ]
I'm afraid you were nearly wearing this. It's much better eaten.
[ It is good... ]

[ She was invited - by mail, even - and so... she came. Of course she came. Elda's mood is actually a little bit pensive through the ceremony, checking the area for people she knows, perhaps even seeing if there's anyone here that she knows better than she knows both of the grooms. After all, while her connection with Sorey was deep, it was also quick. Brandywine's time was a whirlwind. And she doesn't know his husband to be basically at all.
... She can't help but feel a little jealous even as she sits there in a smart purple dress and for today she's actually trying out the specialized contacts that she got from a mystery person for Christmas, so while the color is muted by them her red eyes are exposed to the world. She has her sunglasses just in case. But ... well.
... Honestly, some sniffling sees her putting on the sunglasses by the reception. ]
II: The Reception
[ At the reception, now unfortunately sporting some (admittedly designer as usual) sunglasses, she sets off getting some drinks, finding people who'll dance with her, and chatting up people here. She leaves her gift (a nice card and $300, because cash is probably better than whatever gift she'd pick out in terms of what they need) on the table and ... well.
It's nice that she can taste the wine again. And the food. Well, most of it. She's all smiling during this, treating this as if it were a gala. But if she knows you, well, she's wanting to socialize here.
Even if she does feel a little alien. ]

[ David's here as Minako's +1, to nobody's real surprise. Really, it was more surprising that he was out and about in the first place. His job unfortunately didn't leave him with as much time to socialize as one would hope, but with a little bit of convincing from Minako as well as Yoon-sung (not that he needed much actual convincing, to be perfectly honest), he's here, dressed appropriately in a nice suit, and mostly just trying to take in the atmosphere.
Well, that and make sure Minako doesn't keel over from trying to do too many things at once after the fact. ]
iv.
[ When things slow down, David's more than happy to help with the cleanup, bustling around to make sure that things are properly put away (taking a sample here and there when he can), though apparently his work habits still are in full play, because he's also making sure that nobody's too tipsy, helping keep people upright and getting water should anyone need it. ]
