WHERE: Fai's apartment beforehand, and then Zoro's new apartment!
WHEN: Sunday, 9/3 for baking and then Monday, 9/4 for the party
WHAT: A surprise housewarming party for Zoro!
WARNINGS: None yet, probable squishy feelings. Will update as necessary
[Zoro lost his home. Zoro lost his home a month ago. How had Fai not noticed? Admittedly he only knows Zoro because of their time in Team Cognac together, and they've all been just a little preoccupied lately, but Fai had felt terrible when he'd found out. Even more so when questioning had strongly suggested that Zoro's new apartment contains a bed and... not much else.
And yeah, he'd kind of technically agreed that he wouldn't throw Zoro a housewarming party. But really, he's going to throw Zoro a housewarming party. If Zoro doesn't think he's going to do it, he clearly doesn't know Fai well enough yet.
So the call has gone out to Team Cognac for housewarming gifts, if people are able. Towels, sheets, anything that might be used to furnish a nearly empty apartment. Fai's also going to cook and bake a few things to bring over (and Fai's definition of "a few things" is somewhat suspect), so any teammates are welcome to stop by Fai's little apartment the day before to help him! Since he's functional but he's still in pain, and getting around isn't as easy as it should be. Plus it'd be a good time to mooch off of his cooking (Mafuyu).

9/3 early afternoon, baking at Fai's place! | no thought bubbles yet
He also has two cats, lazy things, one white and one black. They'll lay across the various pieces of furniture (or right in the way on the floor, depending) or maybe try to hit you up for affection.
Feel free to knock at the door or just barge right in if Fai already knows you're coming! He's wearing a frilly pink apron (y e p) and puttering around the kitchen... somewhat slower than usual.]

[Fai's voice calls out from the kitchen, and a moment later he pops out through the kitchen doorway in his frilly pink apron, which is spotted in various places with flour.]
Ah, nope! I'm actually mixing together a casserole at the moment while there are a few loaves of bread in the oven. Do you want to come stir the pasta for me?

What kind of casserole? Mac and cheese?
[ She hops up onto her feet and turns her attention to the pasta. She's watched Tatsuo make spaghetti all of one time, and that makes her a master pasta chef: no noodles will stick on her watch! ]
If Prompto eats cheese, he'll die.

Nope! This one is spaghetti carbonara pie. There's a plate of bacon over there if you want to steal a piece or two? It's the one covered with a paper towel. Just don't steal all of it, I need it for when the pasta's done.
[He's whisking eggs, milk, cheese, and a few other things together. At that last part he pauses and turns to Mafuyu.]

He says he's lactose intolerant, so if he has anything with milk and cheese and stuff, he'll die or something. I'll eat whatever he can't, so don't worry about that!

Oh! [He flaps a hand dismissively, smiling again.] That's no problem! I'm making a few different things, I tried to make sure I covered all the major allergies. Although I really don't think he'd die from milk, he'd probably just be very uncomfortable for a while.
[He chuckles] But you know most of this is for Zoro, right? There'll be some for the party, but I'm trying to help Zoro out with this. If he's just moved into a new place he has more important things to worry about than dinner.

But since Zoro's thought bubble basically gives her permission to do whatever she wants without getting thrown out so long as it's more legal than breaking and entering, Mafuyu slips off to the kitchen while Fai's got Zoro trapped in conversation and unable to stop her from see just how well stocked that kitchen is. ]

Laurent, who had been looking down at his phone during the awkward speech bubble moments to text his bodyguard that they're inside and is this blissfully unaware, pockets it again and steps in to glance around the apartment. It looks quite nice, all things considered, Laurent can appreciate good decor. ]

9/4 party time
[ Mafuyu's never been to a housewarming, but she's been to birthday parties before, aka cake and presents, not much different than what's happening here. She elbows her way to Zoro at the first second she gets and presents him with a box. It's a plain cardboard box, and the bottom of it appears to be wet and it's dripping water on the ground but!! ]

A bag of semi-mushy pizza rolls sits inside, padded by half melted otter pops— the only flavor is grape. ]
