Team Peter Pan roster: Albert Wesker, Dark Bakura, Goro Akechi, Karkat Vantas, Lord Light, Naoto Shirogane, Nobunaga Oda, Remilia Scarlet, Ritsu Sakuma, Shin Asuka, Shou Suzuki, Yoshiko Tsushima. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the open sea... This is the Team Peter Pan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. I'm sorry about your friend. It's already odd to interact with those who are unaware of the abnormalcy of Recolle, I can't imagine what it's like knowing someone who lost the app.

[And he hopes he never does! That sounds heartbreaking and uncomfortably unpleasant, something he does not deal with the best when it comes to his own grief.]

It's actually pretty fucking shitty, yeah.

[ yuuko is one of karkat's closest friends. she still is, but goro is right. there's just this indescribable sense of loss now, that's there every time they hang out.

it's not something he really talks about. the only person he probably would with is aki over there, and the two of them hate each other so the chances of that happening are slim. ]

[Well. It's kind of awkward now. He turns his face up to the mast, staring at it for a moment before looking back down at Karkat.]

Um, mostly about the comment I made about your horns. They clearly had more frightening things around them than you. I'm sorry if I made you self-conscious or anything like that.

[Goro knows what it's like to be picked on. He shouldn't have done it, things are shitty when they enter new locations, he's tired and wants to go home. He's also kind of an asshole, but usually just to certain people? People he's comfortable with.]

The others may be the same, or in some cases that's simply how they are. Despite that, we... seem to get along well enough? It's weird.

[ the horns are a sore spot. although... it's less the horns, and more of what they represent. karkat has gotten enough regains at this point to know that he apparently isn't human, and to know what he is eventually going to look like. he's not too happy about this. ]

I already know I'm a freak, so other people pointing it out at this point is whatever.

[ it's not really something he talks about; the only person he complained at length about them is ami, and that's because they're both trolls... or whatever the species is called. ]

We probably get along since we all want the same thing. To get this over with.

[Poor Karkat. In Goro's experience, having things pointed out like that still sucks, but he's also kind of sensitive when it comes to what others think of him. Some people have thicker skin; he only hums anyway, debating on if he should press or leave it be.

... It is not his place to press, he will leave it be. Being nosy is always easier over phone and text, not face to face.]

And once it's over, we'll go our separate ways, most likely to rarely meet again. [...] Though I confess that I'd like to stay in touch with at least some of you, regardless of how much we have in common.

We keep running into each other all the goddamn time and we don't even like each other.

[ the only times they ever "get along" is when they are forced to, and those usually have retrospec shenanigans involved. and even then saying they get along is stretching it; it's more like they are tolerating each other until they no longer have to. ]

But I can tell when I am the minority opinion here.

I haven't spoken all that much to her despite our time here together, honestly, so I don't have much of an opinion myself. But my impression of her... is that we wouldn't get along at all if we weren't in this situation, I think. People like her and I don't tend to mix.

[she doesn't even entertain his small talk, karkat. it's terrible. small talk is the only way he gets through most conversations.

They're nearing the top with their steady climb, so Goro quickens his pace and pulls himself in, tucking over to a side and... wow, that view. So much ocean.]

There's other people I feel that way about, of course, but her especially. So you're not in that much of a minority at the moment. She's a difficult girl.

[Though he does wonder if maybe they do need to talk more?? And not be in this situation. If they'd met under different circumstances, would he have a different impression of her...]

[ karkat isn't even sure where he would have run into them. well. he is pretty sure he and naoto had gone to the same high school before he graduated this summer? he has no idea what grade she's in and never spoke to her though, so. ]
