The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city.

However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the open sea...

This is the Team Peter Pan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!

[ it takes a moment, but the safe opens and he pulls out... a sickle. he needs a better system for this, holy shit.

but once he has it, he'll run over to aki. ]

What the hell is that thing?

[She just keeps cutting? It's lashing out with tentacles and occasionally lunging towards them with its mouth.]

Just start cutting and don't stop till there's nothing left!

[ gross???

but he'll do as he's told. it's the most obedient he will probably ever be in terms of stuff akinobu has told him to do. every time he's able, he'll go to slash at it and then make a small shrieking noise whenever its mouth gets too close. ]

Are there more of these on this ship?!

I don't know...we need to kill it and get out of here quick so we can warn everyone else.

[At least together, they're doing fairly well. It doesn't seem to be able to focus on both of them at the same time, wildly lashing out the more of its body it loses.

But the weaker it gets the more desperate it becomes, so it shoves Aki back and then turns to Karkat entirely, tentacles at the ready. It lifts one to swat him away--]

[But all of a sudden she runs towards Karkat and shoves him out of the way. The slime monster lashes out and knocks her across the room; another stroke of bad luck hits when she lands on a piece of debris that she ends up impaled on, around the hip. It's pretty close to where her lung is. Blood shoots out from the initial impact and stains the floor. It looks pretty bad.

The slime also starts moving towards her, and she can't reach her sword since she dropped it in midair and she's stuck right now.

BE THE HERO KARKAT.]

[ see, karkat doesn't like her. every time he runs into her it's like his day is just immediately ruined.

that doesn't mean he wants to see her actually seriously injured though. she's friends with anya and yuuko, and they'd be devastated if anything happened to aki.

when it turns to attack her again, market immediately lunges at it from behind. it's... still gross, but he slashes and slashes and just slashes in a somewhat hysterical effort to make sure this dumb girl does not get eaten by a fucking slime monster. ]

[Thankfully, that seems to be the key to victory. Each slash cuts a little bit away, further and further as it gradually loses mass. The final, frantic push that Karkat gives to end the engagement is what puts it all to rest, reducing the creature to a certain size where it's no longer capable of maintaining itself; it bursts in a shower of goo. Gross.

Seeing it's all clear, Aki lets out a sigh of relief...granted, a shaky, pained one. But before he can come to help her out, she grabs a hold of the debris she's stuck on and just...

Pushes herself off of it.

More blood! Hopefully Karkat's not squeamis-haha who are we kidding we know he is.]

Fuck...

[ no, it's fine, karkat's got this?

he will immediately step forward to go help her out

and just fucking faint ]

[Okay, well.

She isn't going to let something like a MASSIVE HOLE in her body slow her down.

So whenever he decides to wake up, he'll find he's lying down on the floor with her hoodie folded up and beneath his head. She's sat against the bar counter right beside him with the keys they needed in a pile on the floor.

She might still have some slime and blood stains on her, but if he looks to the wound where the hole in her clothing is caused by the impalement...it's gone? It's totally regenerated.]

[ wow. when he comes to, his first thought is that he had a really wacky dream where they got kidnapped and brought to some strange ship, and then had to fight a slime monster, and that aki got fucking impaled?? but there's no way that happened.

but when he sits up and sees her it's. well. right.

karkat immediately scrambles to his feet and rushes over. ]

Holy fuck are you-- wait where's the hole.

[She snaps her head up in slight surprise, but once she sees it's just him awake, her expression deflates.

But it's a good thing. Not another slime monster, or some kind of slime karkat.]

It healed, sleeping beauty.

How the fuck did it-- you have healing powers?

[ he hates that this is a real, honest question he has to ask in this day and age. he squints at where the injury was though and... nope, it's all gone. ]

That was really bad though! How much can you heal from?!

...

[Does she trust Karkat enough to tell him?]

...that's a complicated question.

But a lot more than a human can.

[ he doesn't see how it's complicated but he is also unaware of fate logic. ]

So the answer is yes, got it.

[ he'll go back to where he was lying down to pick up her hoodie and take it back to her. ]

[Just accepting it is the best course of action.]

It only works on me, by the way. Don't think I can be your white mage and start acting recklessly.

[She takes the hoodie and ties it around her waist again. After that, she bends down to pick up the keys to show them to Karkat.]

These were on the floor covered in slime. I think they were in the bottles the monster came out of.

What is this, a Fable of Helda ripoff?

[ whatever, as long as she's actually not going to die then that's what matters. he almost sticks his sickle back into the sylladex, but then decides to keep it on him to not waste time in case they get attacked again. ]

Let's just go find the others and take those keys with us, I guess. Going by RPG logic they'll be useful.

It's seeming like one more and more each day...
