TEAM PETER PAN LOG

TEAM PETER PAN
READY: START.

Team Peter Pan roster: Albert Wesker, Dark Bakura, Goro Akechi, Karkat Vantas, Lord Light, Naoto Shirogane, Nobunaga Oda, Remilia Scarlet, Ritsu Sakuma, Shin Asuka, Shou Suzuki, Yoshiko Tsushima.

The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city.

However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the open sea...

This is the Team Peter Pan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!

The schedule for Team Peter Pan is as follows:
3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST)
10TH: Objective 1 closes (8PM EST), Objective 2 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 2 wrap-up
17TH: Objective 2 closes (8PM EST), Objective 3 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 3 Part Two
24th: Objective 3 closes (8PM EST), Final city-wide log posted (9PM EST)
Objectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work.

[... Goro is learning music, he has not heard this before, it's kind of pleasant? There's a number marking their current floor, and he gives the four a disdainful look before starting down.]

Um, right. I hope its proximity isn't an illusion. Because of the echoing and the like. I wonder if they take requests... Oh, but we shouldn't think about that, should we? It might just be a radio. What kind of band practices on a sinking ship?

[... besides the one from titantic, wesker is not the man he wants to stand on the bow of the ship with. you are not his jack. even if there's a jack in your canon.]
manufactured: (002. we burn and coil like cigarettes)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The sort that's determined to go down with it, I suppose.

[...it likely says something when my first thought upon seeing that is still "who the fuck is jack." in fairness, wesker does not know who the fuck jack is either, yet, so...]
twostringsonebow: (35 i crush to bits the drops tasting of)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[half the reason i always refer to goro as goro is because in canon he's just akechi everywhere and helps to remind me that he has a first name so

i feel you.]

Or maybe they're seeking out survivors. Though... we haven't seen anyone else so far. [... It's strange. Cruise ships are supposed to be packed, aren't they?

The vision he gets says so, though he doesn't know why he's there himself (he hasn't been on a cruise ship in this life, anyway) nor who anyone could be. He pauses thoughtfully on a step, but quickly moves on.]
Why are we the only ones here thus far? It seems a rather odd assortment to put on a ship.
manufactured: (007. you've only spent)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[He notes the pause, but...huh. That's a good question, actually - ]

Were you currently with any of the others, immediately before we woke up here?

[He was around several people during that five day period (Goro included), but he'd generally lost track of several of them (...Goro included) and had been with Jaeger at the time. But Jaeger certainly isn't here, to his knowledge, so...]
twostringsonebow: (71 you think ill look alright with these)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I wasn't. I was with one of my roommates at the time.

[... Is Miss Velveteen alright? What about Silver? Akira, Takamaki, Amagi -- the list rolls through his mind and he catches himself on the railing when his foot slips off a step, nervous laughter bubbling up.]

In fact, outside of you and a few others, I can't say I recognize anyone that was in the room we found ourselves in. What about you?
manufactured: (001. your world is an ashtray)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Are you all right, Goro, good lord- ]

I recognize two or three of them from the network, assuming that I'm remembering their profile images correctly. I don't know the rest.

Before we were brought here, I was with... [how do you describe jaeger.] ...A...friend of mine, I suppose you would call him.
twostringsonebow: (17 will it unleash me?)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[He gets lost in his thoughts a stairwell is the worst place for him, statistically speaking. But he's fine! Fine. Perfectly alright.]

Perhaps they're in other parts of the ship, then. It is rather large.

[And there's a big ol' three on this landing; Goro tilts his head towards the hall out, listening, and nods.]

I think we've found our stop.
manufactured: (002. we burn and coil like cigarettes)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems it.

[Wesker will be having his gun out, at the very least; it's possible that there are people here, but he has no way of telling how those people will actually behave upon being interrupted once they're found.

Given that this is an orchestra we're talking about and the worst that will probably happen is "somebody throws a cello", this is probably slightly on the insane survivalist side, but he has had a very long week.

Come on, then - ]

Do you want me to lead off, or would you prefer to do it?
twostringsonebow: (33 just drop me)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[You know.

This is why he decide to investigate things with Wesker. Having a gun on his side is a comfort, though he's not sure if Wesker knows how to use one. Point and shoot shouldn't be that hard.]

Allow me. I've been told I'm quite apt at conversations, and I don't know how they may react to someone leading with a gun.

[Like, no offense, but. Yeah.

It won't be that hard to find it after that, the usual bit of "try not to fall through the holes" aside, and... the area is oddly clear where the music is the loudest. The floor is strong, the door seems undamaged, and Goro pauses a moment before opening the door slightly, peering in

and then very quietly shutting it again without a word. Huh. Wow. Maybe this is a weird dream.]
manufactured: (007. you've only spent)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[...You know, he's noticing the weirdly clear floor, and if movies have taught him anything it's that if something is strange and out of place like that, that's probably a sign that we're either in for a bad time or we're about to have a surprisingly awesome time, with absolutely nothing inbetween.

Goro's reaction is not promising.]

What is it?

[When he asks the question it's low; no need to get the attention of...whatever just happened in there.]
twostringsonebow: (51 let it ring out)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Just-- give him a moment. He rubs his face, then opens the door again to peek in.

Oh, for god's sake, they're still there. This is real. For a degree of real. Here, see for yourself, Wesker, he can open the door some more without immediate notice...

by a whole lot of fucking skeletons, playing that sweet sweet music. Don't mind him, he's taking out his phone to record this. No one will believe him otherwise.]

There's an osteostra. [... Okay that was not his best, he can recognize that.] You don't suppose they might be friendly bones, do you?
manufactured: (Default)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...On the one hand, it's possible. On the other hand, they're playing something that ends with the vengeful death of absolutely everyone.

Either they're some very cultured skeletons that are fond of Threepenny Opera or we're going to have a problem.

[...]

A problem beyond that sentence just leaving my mouth.
twostringsonebow: (71 you think ill look alright with these)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[... That is ominous, yes.]

Do we attempt negotiations, leave, or... I don't know, skeletons aren't usually strong in video games, and I would sleep safer knowing that we've taken care of a potential problem.
manufactured: (010. when i'm god everyone dies)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-04 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's a break in the music, then, before the next song starts up; it's...well.]

...We are absolutely taking care of them.
twostringsonebow: (50 i might as well)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ho boy, they are taking care of them.]

There's a fair amount of them, so we should use our first attack to thin the numbers--

[The music abruptly comes to a halt with a clatter of bones, because it'd seem that second string viola over there has spotted their audience. It's dead quiet for a moment, Goro slowly stopping the recording as he chuckles nervously and his eyes flick around the room.

... There's a chandelier up there, and he jerks his head upward as the skeletons begin to make their way down with a rattle that's not unlike rocks in a can, jarring and vaguely threatening. Can Wesker's gun do something with that?]
manufactured: (001. your world is an ashtray)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-05 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, he's already on the same page - he knows for a fact that it can, and he still isn't sure what he thinks of how he knows for a fact that it can, but you know what, he can worry about Lisa Trevor later.

Skeletons, after all, are usually decidedly more fragile than she turned out to be, and he is entirely here for getting all Phantom of the Opera on their asses.

He'll...encourage Goro to move a bit more solidly into the room so he can get a better shot; the entire shooting process is a lot quicker these days, a lot cleaner given that before the monsters invaded the city he'd never fired a gun in his life, and when he shoots the chain holding that chandelier up above his aim is surprisingly true.

(Which, you know, he would really like to claim as badassery on his part, but it's honestly the sort of thing that gets a brief mental well, that's never happening again, but really, who cares, he made the damn shot when it counted.)

The chain weakens for a precarious moment that feels far longer than it can actually possibly be, until with a tremendous and jarring crash, there goes the violin section, learning the hard way that not everything can be about them all the time.

...Which still leaves us with like two-thirds of the orchestra, but damn if that isn't a good amount that we don't have to deal with, and we've proven that they are, in fact, fragile.]

Hopefully your first thought won't be deflecting this time.

[Yippie-ki-yay, motherfuckers.]
twostringsonebow: (48 this flavorless irritation)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-05 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
[That

was awesome, frankly speaking, Goro looks so fucking ecstatic at it working and there's others to deal with that's right.]

No, I'll lend a hand. [Oh, look, one of the arms is close enough for him to reach, he has like the shortest moment of hesitation because it's a fucking arm but he'll take it up.

This is the grossest thing he's ever held but you know what, at least these bones are clean.]
Armed and ready to go.

[That one was better. To the rise of the overture, these skeletons are not nearly as terrifying as they could be and Goro's certainly has little issue in picking on a bunch of music nerds.]
manufactured: (010. when i'm god everyone dies)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-05 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He is never going to nail another shot like that again, he is fairly sure, but jesus christ we are going to take down this entire room full of orchestra nerds, armed with - ]

Armed, really...

[That is possibly the stupidest thing he's ever found amusing and he is trying so hard to not give you the satisfaction of laughing, so he'll just be smirking like a douchebag while leveling his gun at another skeleton's chest.

...Their ribcages explode in a really satisfying manner when shot, actually, that's cool as hell.]
twostringsonebow: (77 oh no)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-05 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Give in, Wesker, but he's satisfied with the smirk anyway. There's a head flying off of this one, that's fucking nice, but trying to repeat the performance gets him a snapped wrist.

... Not his own wrist, just the one he's attacking with, just to be clear. There goes the hand. What is he supposed to bitchslap with now? No one else is particularly willing to give him a hand (heh) so he's backing up towards Wesker for some minor protection.]

They've got a lot of guts for things without real bodies.
manufactured: (013. i'm wide awake the more i sleep)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-05 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[.................Fine.]

Well, it's not as though anything we do is going to get under their skin.

[these are our lives now. this is what we've become.

...these things are decidedly harder to shoot when they don't have actual bodies to penetrate, there's less area to hit, but at least headshots seem to be fairly effective in taking them down and - hi, Goro.]

Femurs are generally some of the strongest bones in the body, you know -

[seriously just grab someone's fucking thigh and beat some skeletons to death with it, just fucking do it]
twostringsonebow: (76 oh don't ask me how i've been)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-05 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
While humerus, it's not like one's going to--

[land in his hand, okay, this is decidely not a femur this is someone's skull that has been thrown at him, you can take that right back.]

They should be thanking us for getting rid of the violins, in my opinion. [Maybe his power will work on them? He will grab a boney arm and

well, he's not sure if his powers just don't work on the undead or if they're just not activating at the moment, but he's being dragged into the ratting fold like a hostage.]
They were overrated! You're better off with what you have! Cellos deserve to be the stars!

[he is doing his best to appease the skeletons succeeding their grapple rolls.]
manufactured: (011. i say it is and it's true)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-06 12:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[These things are encroaching fast and he's got no idea what Goro is doing, but he certainly is being grabbed; Wesker gives up on the gun when it comes to the skeleton that's in entirely too close proximity to him and kicks it directly in the sternum, sending the thing to the ground with a vaguely alarming clatter as it falls apart.]

What do we have to offer, burning every viable copy of "Canon in D" -

[...So you know what's going to be terrible is if he misses and manages to shoot Goro somehow, but that's what laser sights and an absolute lack of a conscience are for, right?

He fires another couple of rounds into one of the skeletons that is very much succeeding its grapple roll there, trying to get it to break - at least just enough that Goro can actually do something.

Try not to die, man, solo missions suck and they generally cut your defenses to a ridiculous degree to artificially inflate the difficulty level and basically just don't be Umbrella Chronicles? Don't be Umbrella Chronicles.]
twostringsonebow: (just change)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-06 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[To say that Goro shrieks at the skeleton being blown beside him would be a vast understatement; he has a certain level of pride as a man but that is out the window, frankly, because being shot at (even to help) is not fun.

It does get him free though, and his powers are more successful this time on the other bag of bones clutching onto his face like it wants it for itself as the skeleton clatters to the floor, allowing him to grave rob the way God intended for the femur he'd wanted.

"What did you do while we were separated?" His friends will ask, no doubt having stories of their own.

"Oh, I was on a cruise liner," he'd reply. "Have you ever imagined how satisfying it would be to kneecap skeletons with their own leg? Because it is."

It very much is. Look at the ones he's crippled, they're doing their best but they just don't have a leg to stand on. Climbing on a table is a good idea too, he's found, because nothing beats whacking off the head of a skeleton like it's a goddamn golf ball--]

Fore!

[Sorry if any flies too close to you, Wesker.]
manufactured: (Default)

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-08-07 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[On the one hand, the forewarning prevents him from getting whacked in the head by bits of a flying skull.

On the other, some of it does catch him in the shoulder and ow? Ow.

...On the phantom third hand he can't even be mad because that's hilarious. And honestly, melee weaponry may turn out to be more useful than the gun in terms of being able to just rapid-fire (ha) destroy these things, so you know what, it's just like the convention center all over again.

Except it isn't a gaudy-ass bat this time, and he's actually going to do sufficient damage with the broken table leg he's picked up once he's holstered the gun, and holy damn he is getting very accustomed to violence over the past short while.

Not that he can complain, given that it's not like they're people.]
twostringsonebow: (17 will it unleash me?)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-08-07 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[See, the fact that they aren't people really lends itself to Goro's self-preservation. Just like the spider slicers. Those are human shaped but they are Very Much Not People.

It seems like their crescendo's dying down, the swell of music tapering off with every lost player, so that's good; Goro takes a moment to look upon their fallen foes with an odd sense of pride, then kicks off a skeleton that tries to climb up to him. This is his hill. It's never gonna be anything he does again in his life (this life?) and it's a surprising amount of fun.]
