cause the world might do me in [open]
WHO: Ami and OPEN!
WHERE: various locations around Tribunal Terrace and Apprassage
WHEN: Sunday, July 16, beginning at 8 pm
WHAT: Ami and several others embark on a ghost tour in and around downtown; some ghosts also make an appearance.
WARNINGS: spoopy stories could do u a frighten!
Revenants of Recollé is the longest-running ghost tour in town, and was recently voted the best for the fifth year in a row. The tour begins at their downtown office in Tribunal Terrace, a well-weathered building just a few blocks from City Hall.
Your guide for the evening is Edwin, a man at the upper end of middle age, sporting an impressive beard, dressed in period costume (although what period, precisely, is a little ambiguous), and carrying an old-fashioned glass lantern.
At 8:00, Edwin briefly goes over the rules of the tour - please remain with the group, don't touch anything, no alcohol or Ouija boards, and so on. Then he outlines the general route they'll be taking: past City Hall and the courthouse, through the Recollé Cemetery, looping around 9th Avenue to the Abernathy Hotel, and finally up into Apprassage, concluding at the Old Museum. (Obviously there are more stops than just those three, but those are the most interesting ones.)
By 8:15, the walk has begun. No turning back now!*
*I mean, you could turn back, but then you'd miss out on all the spoops.
((note: Ami did post a thing on the network earlier announcing this, but no signup is required!))

Naoto shows up in a knee-length coat and cap. You know, the sort a hard boiled detective might wear. She has a flashlight in her pocket (and a redundant one in the inside of her coat) and is wearing comfortable running shoes.
She holds up a hand in greeting to Ami, frowning a little at her outfit. She's not one for fashion, mind you, but...] Not to question anyone else's attire, but that does seem like a very odd outfit for this sort of thing.
At the very least, it's undermining the mood you seemed to be wanting to set.

or other" question... It does not.]Ahaha, yeah... That was a math error on my part. One of my squares is "dress like not a goth for a week," and I started Monday... But if I got back in black today, I'd have to start all over! So the only real option was to continue.

[Because of course she has a spare.]
I'm beginning to wish I'd gotten a bingo card of my own, though it's interesting to see how others work to fill theirs out.

I wonder if anything will happen to those with bingo cards and not me.

At any rate, what's the plan for this... tour?

We pretty much just follow Edwin around from stop to stop, and he regales us with the spooky tales of each site's notable denizens. And on the way out, I talk to those denizens and see if their stories match up!

This seems... broadly in line with what she was expecting.] And what makes you so sure there will be denizens to speak to? Or that you'll be able to communicate with them even if there are any?
Have you done it before?
