bingo + catchall + idk everything else
WHO: Fai, Kasen, Tatsuo, Jirou, Kurogane, anyone else???
WHERE: All over
WHEN: ~July~
WHAT: Fai doing bingo things, teaching Jirou to cook, shopping with Tatsuo, using horrible pickup lines on people, etc etc
WARNINGS: Ridiculousness, probably.
Tatsuo - Shopping at the mall!
[At some point during Tatsuo's housewarming party it had been decided that Tatsuo really needed some help with kicking his style game up a notch. That means new apartment decor and a new rotation of more sophisticated meals he can prepare for himself (and hopefully a date!). For now, they're cruising the mall. Because the mall absolutely has one of those really cool, totally overpriced, kind of hipster furnishing stores and they can at least pick up an accent piece or two before they move on to something more pedestrian like Target or Hobby Lobby.
The mall also has a place that sells gelato and macarons, and Fai grabs Tatsuo's arm to drag him over.]
Gelato!
Kasen - Making sandcastles
[Make a sandcastle taller than he is. Right. Easier said than done when a person is six feet tall.
Fai's out on the beach today in a cute yellow sundress and sandals, with his hair pinned up under a wide-brimmed hat and his Audrey Hepburn sunglasses on. And liberal amounts of sunscreen, because he doesn't tan, he burns. And he's staring at a pile of sand that's roughly waist-height and wondering how in the world he's going to get this thing twice as tall.
Please help.]
Jirou - Cooking lessons and talking about boys ♥
[Okay, so Fai might have a teeny tiny ulterior motive for showing up at Jirou's place for cooking lessons. He loves Jirou, and he's always happy to spend time with him, and he's even happier to teach him to cook! But he's also really curious how Kenta and Jirou can not see that they're each crazy in love with each other. So he shows up with a couple bags of groceries and plans to shove his friends together. Er. Closer together than they already are.]
Kurogane - Magic (and probably flirting lbr)
[It's dusk, it's relatively quiet in the suburbs, and Fai's car has a flat tire.
Seriously, he's like a five minute drive from home. His car is well maintained! He just got her painted pretty pink! He hardly ever drives her! How did this happen?
Well, that giant nail in the tire may have something to do with it.
Dressed in his usual skinny jeans and button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, Fai is crouching at the side of the road and staring forlornly at his tire. He has never changed a tire in his life. He doesn't even know how to go about it, except to call the number on the insurance card in his wallet.
Hold on. He's a fully capable, functional adult, right? He should be able to do this, right?
...fuck. He pulls out the card and holds his other hand out, palm up, and a ball of warm yellow light appears out of nowhere, resting just above the hand. This is ridiculous. He's five minutes from home.]
Wildcard!
[Hit me up if you have an idea of something else to do with Fai, or please poke me if you're interested in doing bingo things! Fai's bingo card is here. If we had previous plans to do bingo things and you're still interested please, please poke me! I'm still totally up for it ♥]

They really needed to stop running into each other like this, he thought. But it seemed despite the problems, each time wound up being more pleasant than the last. Progress, surely.-
Hey... -He still wasn't quite good at breaking the still awkward walls that had formed between them, though.-
no subject
[Fai turns away from the mound of sand at the sound of the voice, not recognizing Kasen right away from the one spoken syllable and not entirely sure whether he should be worried or not that someone's talking to him. He's wearing a hat and sunglasses, surely no one would recognize him in all of this...?
Oh, it's Kasen! Well. That would explain it. The set of his shoulders visibly relaxes and he smiles at the other man.]
Hey! Fancy meeting you here. Taking a break from being big and important today?
no subject
I haven't had much business to be done lately... I've had much more time to think and work on my own creative pursuits. You seem to be doing the same, right now.
no subject
Well, that's good, right?
[He pauses and puts his hands on his hips, turning his attention back to the mound of sand.]
Ah, it's one of those silly bingo things. I had the afternoon off and I thought I might give it a try, but I don't think it's going to work....

Shopping!
Besides, gelato. They're stopping for a classy snack, not a giant pretzel.]
Any new flavors?
no subject
[He drags Tatsuo into the little shop (which is very pink inside, it's right up Fai's alley) that has a couple of cafe tables along one wall and a massive cold counter along the other.]
Hm, maybe I'll get a box of macarons to take home too! Do you want any?
no subject
[Tatsuo scans the flavors on display. Coffee Mocha Swirl - Rich flavor of freshly roasted Italian coffee with a chocolate hazelnut-coffee sauce swirled into the gelato. Yum. Coffee + ice cream = win.]
Macarons? Well, maybe one.
[They're so expensive? And they practically melt the moment you bite them? They might taste good, but they're gone in two bites if you aren't careful.]
no subject
[Fai normally orders a double scoop of gelato with cookies & cream and mint chocolate chip both, but since they have Things to Do today he sticks with the cookies & cream for now. And orders a big box of 24 macarons of various flavors.]
I'm not going to eat them all, I promise! I usually give out about half of them when I buy them. So I'll only end up eating like... twelve... [He laughs]

Fai makes his way toward Jirou's kitchen with the grocery bags and beams at his friend, pausing to give him a kiss on the cheek once he gets there.]
I've been looking forward to this all week! And if we somehow end up covered in makeup and in the tub you won't hear any complaining from me~
no subject
[A fluffy white dog comes prancing in and sits down to watch them.]
Oh! Oh! Come here, Kenti!
[Jirou practically bounces over to pick up his dog who he brings over to Fai just so he can wave that cute tiny paw at him.]
Say hi to FaiFai!
[Kenti gives a bark to say hi.]
no subject
He even makes a little "aaaaaah!" sound and reaches out to scritch behind the dog's ears.]
Oh my god this is the most adorable animal I have ever seen in my life!

WILDCARD IG
Then again, he can hardly blame them for that seeing as he's been unable to even find anything about this company and their ridiculous app while digging. He's ambling along the sidewalk, excessively overpriced shades pushed up into his blond curls as he squints at his phone and thumbs through pages of entirely useless information, when he hears the sound of what is distinctly French.
Laurent pauses by a large shop window and scans the crowd for the source. It's unlikely to be anyone he knows, but he still feels compelled to check. For all he knows his brother could have come to surprise him with a visit, after all. Locking his phone with a quick swipe he pushes it into the pocket of his linen trousers, pulls his sunglasses free from the tangle of his hair and pushes them back on as he begins to walk slowly through the crowd, rolling his white shirt sleeves up a little further.
He can always hope, after all, can't he? Coincidences seem more and more common these days. ]
no subject
Well, at least he's already told Seto about it, and Seto seemed fine with it as long as Fai doesn't wind up with another boyfriend. Which would be ridiculous.
So here he is, looking (he thinks) pretty nice in skinny jeans and a button-down shirt, trying to find a likely candidate for his next foray in Using Pick-Up Lines on Strangers. Maybe he'll actually do the next line in French. Americans dig French... and if he uses a French line on a guy who ends up being straight, he's less likely to get punched because he can just deny that it was a line at all!
...and this guy's cute. Probably way too young, and not really Fai's traditional type, but cute! So Fai puts on a surprisingly suave smile and steps closer to the other blond through the crowd.]
Excuse-moi. Je viens d’arriver dans ta ville. Est-ce que tu pourrais m’indiquer le chemin jusqu’à ton appartement?
((ooc: usual apologies about internet translations etc))
no subject
Ça roule.
[ Laurent continues rolling up his sleeves casually, as if the proposal isn't particularly bothersome. He's curious to see what the stranger does if played at their own game, and the slip into Parisian-French is natural enough for him. ]
no subject
For a moment he actually visibly recoils just a bit, eyes wide, as if stricken... and then he bursts out laughing. A big, bright, open-mouthed laugh as if he's just heard the funniest joke in the world.]
Ah, you speak French! Not really what I was expecting! [He rests his hands on his hips and grins at the stranger. When he speaks English his French accent is unmistakable, though faded as if he's lived in the States for years.] I'm sorry, that was probably the corniest line I could have possibly come up with, wasn't it?

i feel this icon is fitting
He had no idea why the French guy - because yeah, he recognized him...it meant nothing, okay, he just had a good memory! - had a bright pink car, of all things, but that wasn't what concerned him. No, what did was the ball of light. At first glance it looked like a bunch of fireflies, but how the hell would that have happened?
They guy's tire was obviously flat, so he reluctantly approached.
"That one of those weird sun jar things? A flashlight would probably work better."
no subject
...although, that voice did sound kind of familiar. Fai craned his neck to get a look at--oh, it's him! The... really, really handsome guy. Kuro-something.
"Well, if it isn't Mister Muscles!" Much easier to remember that name. "Fancy meeting you here!" He stood, slipping his phone into his back pocket and brushing his hands on his jeans before smiling up at the other man. The first time they met Fai was in drag and now he was just dressed like an ordinary guy, which made this somewhat awkward, but Fai was an expert at being stubbornly cheerful.
"At least I didn't bump into you this time!" (Yes, he was absolutely avoiding the question about the light.)
no subject
Probably not the brightest thing to say, on reflection, since now the guy knew that and could use it against him. He wasn't entirely sure whether that idea appealed to him or not, which was the concerning part.
He disregarded the nickname entirely, although it was pretty stupid. Sure, he had muscles, but it wasn't like he was some kind of gym hound...!
He just grumbled a little at the whole mention of being bumped into and brought that matter back to what he'd asked about initially.
"Seriously, what was that light? It didn't really look bright enough to be much good. I can try to look at the tire if you want."\
Not that he had a ton of experience since he didn't have a car, but he often helped his aunt with car stuff. And his cell phone had a decent flashlight, one of the reasons he'd bought it in the first place.
no subject
Fai's gaze dropped at the further mention of the light. He should just... claim it was a penlight or something, probably. Except he knew that Kurogane was already on Retrospec, so maybe the idea of magic wouldn't be so incredibly out of left field...?
"Would you?" He looked back up, smiling hopefully. "I mean, you really don't have to! I have roadside with my insurance company. But if you're good with this kind of stuff...? I live pretty close to here, I can make you something to eat afterward? And I'll show you what the light was."

For Kaz Miller! Backdated to sometime before 7/20
Besides, it's been years. And the guy is still in jail. So maybe there's nothing to worry about anyway!
Today Fai's out and about in what amounts to a kind of schoolgirl outfit--a cute plaid skirt (that shows off his legs, always the most important consideration), a button-down white shirt, white stockings and mary jane heels, with his hair pinned up and just enough makeup to make passing as a woman pretty easy. He's browsing through a department store, floating between the mens and womens sections with a few things tossed over one arm but no real goal in mind. He's actually got time to stop and smell the roses today, for a change!]
no subject
[Yet, here they are. He turns a corner and almost apologizes in his standard, slightly flirtatious way when he bumps into this long-legged looker but then notices said long-legged looker has a familiar face.]
Fai?
[Wow! He could rock a skirt. He guesses that he wasn't wrong on that bet.
He folds the khaki slacks that he just picked out for himself over his arm and gives the poor guy a very thorough once-over.] You know how to put together an ensemble.
[Kaz is bi, well and truly, but when he says ridiculous things like that he might as well be a stereotype in the making.]
no subject
Miller!
[Fai grins and lets out a big sigh of relief.]
My god, you scared me half to death! [He reaches out with the hand not holding the things he's considering purchasing and nudges Kaz playfully on one shoulder.] Aw, thank you! But that doesn't let you off the hook for scaring me!
no subject
[He gestures vaguely, an up and down motion to the whole of Fai standing there.] But you look great. Must have been a tough decision to make.
[Not a lot of people would be able to make that choice. It's commendable, being that brave.]
