[Semi Open] ♕1
WHO: Cedric and you!
WHERE: Anywhere and everywhere
WHEN: July
WHAT: Bingo!
WARNINGS: Possibly PG-13 talk? Not likely.
[A]
[Cedric is at Freshens for groceries like most people probably come to Freshens for. Figuring out what to buy and how much of it has been a learning experience for the swimmer. He went to the market with his family a lot back home and had a good idea, but it's still different when on his own.
That, and he does miss the selection of foods from home. He'll have to ask his family to mail him certain foods when he's feeling particularly homesick. Like chocolate.
He looks at his phone to look at his grocery list and takes a moment to glance at the dancing oranges in his cart. They truly are rather entertaining to him even if they're kind of weird. He shouldn't get distracted and finish getting groceries though.]
Oh! Excuse me. I don't want to hit you.
[B]
[At the Towers? At the Towers to buy something off Jim's registry for Jim? Congratulations! Apparently so is Cedric. He isn't actually sure who Jim even is and why they're important enough to have a spot on his bingo card, but being nice can't hurt. Right?]
Is Jim getting married or something?
[Do people getting married need some of these items? He wouldn't know.]
[[OOC: Bingo Catch All! I still got spots open here though and I'm still open to doing more Bingo threads! Closed top levels to squares I've already filled below.]]

You heard me, right? I know I was speaking quietly... [ He leans in across the table, face still a little flush, to speak close to his ear: ] I really like you too, and I'm curious about men.
[he sits back fully in his seat, finishing his wine, trying not to get flustered.]
Forgive me, it's just a little... I'm just now admitting it to myself, too. I think.
[ The waitress picks this awesome moment to come back. Amadée requests another glass of wine, even though he downed his in just a handful of minutes.]
no subject
[He can't help but think Amadée is quite cute blushing like that. It's really cute. Oh god, save him.] I kind of went into this thinking I was going to get rejected honestly.
[Cedric can't help but laugh a little. It's a mix of nervousness and pure relief. Also happiness.]
You don't have to apologize really! I mean. I get you. It's...well, you're the first person I've actually came out to outside of my family. [And no one would seriously think much on a night where he was wasted and making out with anyone.
He really should just ask for a pitcher of water with how quickly he's going through his glasses of water. He's forgotten completely about his food.]
no subject
[ He bites his lip. ] Rejected? But you're you! You're this handsome, kind Olympian. How could I just reject someone like you outright?
[ He smiles, some his own weird feelings starting to dissipate. ]
You would be the first one I've said anything to... My parents never knew.
no subject
[He smiles a little sadly.]
It wasn't exactly because I wanted to say anything about it. My father is very traditional, so he had been pressuring me to find a nice girl. I think you can guess the difficulties that would entail given my preferences.
no subject
[ Amadée gives a little sigh. Even though he doesn't have to come out to his late parents, there's still Estée and Adamska. That sounds awful. ] That sounds very difficult for you. He won't accept your preferences as they are? ...It's not as if you couldn't adopt someday if the issue is children.
no subject
Well, he accepted them. It was a rather tense situation. I think if not for my sister and my mom's reassurances and willingness to sit with my father to speak on my behalf... [He shakes his head a bit.] It would have been quite a field day in all the sports magazines. There was a lot of words thrown around. [Talks of being disowned and the likes. The usual chipper swimmer honestly seems rather pained thinking back to it.]
I understand his expectations even if I didn't agree. I'm not the eldest, but I'm his only son and he probably had expectations of a grandchild of blood relation from me. [Traditional Asian expectations.]
no subject
[ He nods along, listening to his family woes. ] That sounds like a true headache. I'm sorry. [ He reaches across the table, giving his hand a brief squeeze. ]
I hope I don't make things more difficult for you, too.
no subject
It's all and done with for the most part! It's in the past and I can only be glad that things worked out.
[Cedric can't help but let out a rather unattractive snort at the idea that the other would make things more difficult.] You reciprocating my feelings is possibly the best thing I could have heard and honestly has made my day. You're worried about making things difficult though?
no subject
[ He laughs nervously. ]
Still, I wouldn't be insulted if you preferred to keep this secret. I would hate to damage your career.
no subject
I'm not worried about that persay. [He's obviously thinking very hard on this.] I think it'd be better if we weren't quite so public though. [He smiles a little.] I think it would be best for both of us. The last thing we need is the public eyeing us while we're still kind of stumbling through this ourselves. [It's quite new for both of them after all.
He isn't worried about what the public would say or think so much. He's more worried of putting the other under a spotlight by dating him.]
no subject
If I'm honest, I'm probably a little to excited to eat all of this. What about you? Maybe we should continue the date at my apartment. [ ... And he doesn't really realize how that sounds. ]
no subject
He glances at his poor forgotten sandwich before looking back at the other. The embarrassed expression on Cedric's face is probably an indicator that maybe Amadée should be a tad more careful with his words.
This isn't good for Cedric's heart at all. His now boyfriend is going to kill him.]
no subject
[ He obtains the waitress' attention long enough to get a couple boxes. ]
I won't rush you if you want to eat here, Cedric. I still have a glass of wine anyway.
no subject
[He just can't help but laugh. Amadée probably didn't even realize how his words could have been taken.] I was caught off guard is all. What you asked was kind of forward.
no subject
[ He's asking genuinely. Because of course he is. He takes another sip of his wine. About half of it left. Not that he was trying to guzzle it, that would be uncouth... ]
no subject
I-I wouldn't worry about it!
[He's...going to pretend he's having trouble getting his wallet out of his back pocket. He's so smooth.]
no subject
[ He sips his wine, watching him cooly. He pulls a billfold out of his front pocket, holding it at the ready.]
So... Do you want to come back to my apartment, or not? [ There's a little quirk to his lip ] What sort of man do you take me for? We only agreed to date a minute ago...
no subject
Of course! I'd love that! [Look at Cedric turning redder than a tomato. Nail on the head. He's so embarrassed.] I didn't mean to imply anything! I think you're a very lovely man! [Please kill him.]
no subject
Not that I'm... Against the idea altogether. I may have been a Catholic school boy, but... [ He eyes him for a moment. His voice drops to a whisper. ]
As far as sins go, I've always been prone to lust.
no subject
Besides, the other can pay for his medical bills because they're positively slaying him. He had chosen that moment to take a sip from his water (dang he thirsty) when Amadée whispers that to him. He slams his cup down as he goes into a bit of a coughing fit. Jesus Christ indeed. He wasn't prepared to hear that come out from the other.]
Amadée!!! [Is he turned on to some extent? Probably. He's pretty sure that Amadée is going to slay him with words alone.
So forward!!! He wasn't prepared to be completely swept off his feet. What the hell are they teaching you in Catholic school?]
no subject
Come now, though it's been years since I've set foot in France, that doesn't make me any less of a Frenchman. I hear Spaniards are supposed to be passionate as well.
[ How will Cedric ever survive him? There was hardly any warning from this polite, mild-mannered man with old person hobbies. He did just sort of suddenly let loose here. ]
I'm sorry, I'm being rather lurid with you, aren't I?
[ He packs up their food as the bill comes. He takes the last sip of his wine, laughing at himself. Not that he was a lightweight, but he did just drink two glasses of wine on an empty stomach. ]
I can stop if you dislike it.
no subject
W-Well, yeah. We are. I mean. [His voice totally cracked a bit. He's trying to recompose himself, but Amadée is making it hard for him.] I'll be honest if I didn't say I didn't expect this coming from you. [The worst (or perhaps best) part of this is that he can't say he doesn't find this enjoyable.]
I didn't say I disliked it though. [He hands his card over to their server before looking back at the other.] You really know how to rile a guy up though. I wouldn't say stop though.
no subject
I shouldn't get too ahead of myself, though. It's not as if I have any real experience with men.
[ He takes a sip of his water, thinking. ]
You don't either, do you?
no subject
Ah, no. I kind of kept myself too busy to really look into a relationship of any sort. [Which is kind of what lead to his father's nagging.] So the only experience I could say was the drunk making out I did with some guys at the party when I got wasted.
I was told I was really good at kissing, but it wasn't something I wanted to hear with a hangover and from people I barely knew. [He guesses that it's nice to know now. Not so much when he was told..]
no subject
Then... I would be the more experienced person overall.
[ Not said unkindly, simply an observation. He pulls his lower lip into his mouth as the thought comes to him. ]
I wonder if you're just as good sober, or if I'll have to convince you to have a drink with me.
[ With that, he stands and gives him a warm smile. ]
Lets go back to my place. We can speak without wondering who can hear us, at least.
