[open] and bingo was his...
WHO: Sorey and you!
WHERE: All over Recolle.
WHEN: July!
WHAT: It's BINGO TIME. This is a place for me to dump starters, but you are of course welcome to PM me if you'd like a square! There are a few open prompts under the cut!
WARNINGS: None.

(Starred are things I want to do, blue squares are tentatively planned. I'm fine with doubling up! Also, my plotting post is here!)
I. BEACH
[Sorey wants information, and the best way to go about it is, of course, to fill out the bingo card. He's also not against some of the things on here, like hanging out on the beach. That sounds fine to him, actually! He throws on his gray and orange swim trunks and a loose white shirt, secures a plastic pail and sandcastle-building implements, and goes to town.
When he's not stacking and packing wet sand into the approximate shape of a castle, he's hunting for shells so he can decorate it.]
II. TOWERS
[Shopping. Sorey likes it in small amounts, but the eight hour long mall trips are something he can do without. He's tasked with tracking down Jim's registry, but really, he might as well get some other things done as well. He's stopped to get some lunch at the teriyaki place in the food court, but you might catch him wandering around with the bingo card open on his tablet as well.
Of course, it's hard to miss him when he's wearing a giant pie slice on his head.]
III. WILDCARD
[If you need a square, feel free to drop something in here or in Sorey's Retrospec inbox!]

Mikleo - Paint a picture
He leans over the table to steal Mikleo's hand and twine their fingers together.]
This isn't so bad.
no subject
He gently squeezes Sorey's hand.]
I'll admit it's a lot nicer in the shade. [The pale-haired man gives his partner a faintly wry look.] But not nice enough for cuddles. It's still too hot for that.
[Especially when the brunet's a living furnace. Perfect for winter and cold nights, but not so much when it's the daytime in summer.]
no subject
It's never too hot for cuddles. [Not for him, anyway. But he has a portrait to make. His other hand goes for a light pencil, and he begins with a circle.]
You can draw me, too, if you need that square. Man, going for blackout is so tiring...
no subject
Maybe not for you, but definitely for me. You're basically a walking heater.
[He relinquishes Sorey's hand so that he can sketch and settles back into a comfortable position. He's doing his best to stay still enough for his boyfriend to work on the portrait.]
Fortunately, I don't need that square. The only artistic ones I've got involve singing.
no subject
[Despite this being a stupid bingo card thing, Sorey's still going to do his best. He adds another circle to the one he drew, then draws the outlines of Mikleo's cheeks-- a basic egg shape, and appropriate for a head.]
I'm not sure Never Gonna Give You Up is a good use of your singing ability.
no subject
I mean, you could put a cold pack on yourself or something.
[He hums, and resists the urge to make a face. It'll ruin Sorey's drawing if he doesn't stay still.]
It never sounds right when I try to sing a Rick Astley song, anyway. The way we sing is too different.
no subject
[Sorey carefully draws some almondy shapes for eyes. It's not as artistic so much as ... a police sketch, but whatever.]
You should sing more. Your voice is nice.

Takumi - stupid hat
In the meantime, he secures a couple of crepes. The vanilla one he saves for himself, though he's nibbling at it while he waits.
And yes, he's wearing a pie hat. Doesn't mean he can only eat pie!]
no subject
With a bouquet of echo flowers on him.
Yes.
It's for you, Sorey. No homo, though. ]
Of all hats, you had to choose that one.
[ It. Looks. So. Dumb. ]
no subject
I have a bad feeling about those flowers... Is that for bingo, too?
no subject
[ Usually, Takumi would toss whatever over, but he ferries them carefully into Sorey's arms. If he brings them closer, they whisper a nice compliment. No quips. No insults. It only starts a little nervous: "you have your heart in the right place." ]
If you say anything, you'll join those ghosts.
no subject
Since he can't say anything, he just grins as big and wide as anything-- and just in case Takumi doesn't want a hug, he clasps his upper arm instead.]
Thank you.
[He really is happy. Takumi can't insult him, which means that he really likes him... god, he loves his friends. They're so cute.]
Right, so... I haven't had a chance to tell you about what went down at the old school.
no subject
I know I don't say it enough or at all, but you really are great.
[ That comes with a light and playful punch to Sorey's shoulder. ]
Should I get some popcorn?

I. BUILD A SANDCASTLE
That's why when he's at the beach, instead of the kiddy shovel and pail one might bring- Noah has brought along an actual shovel. At this point, he's getting as much wet sand as he can find and just shoveling it into a giant pile. Whatever, he can worry about shape later. He's not even hiding his red arm either, wearing just swim shorts. From the fact that every person passing by is giving him worried glances before keeping their distance from the shoveling lunatic with a scary arm - this might have been on purpose]
no subject
Hey, Noah! Need some help?
[He holds up his bucket.]
I can bring in seawater and we can make our own wet sand. How about it?
no subject
On one hand, he doesn't like accepting help, and it's Sorey. What if he views this as some wonderful bonding time?
On the other hand, having help would get him out of this faster. Even with the shovel, this thing could take forever, and the food stands only stay open for so long.....]
...Sure. Okay.
[BACK TO SHOVELING HE GOES]
no subject
[... Yeah, he totally sees this as bonding. Sorry, Noah.
Sorey dashes off to hit up the waves. He carts back the bucket without much difficulty-- he's pretty fit after all-- and then he sets it down nearby. Given a little time, he hollows out a small hole in the sand, and this is where he pours the water. It sinks in slowly and makes a nice spot of wet sand to scoop up. A few trips back and forth and it seems to be decent.]
Phew. You've got a pretty good pile going! If you make the base sturdy enough, you'd be surprised how tall these things can get.
no subject
But at least Sorey seems to know what to do with the water, so he'll keep after his own task]
Well, as long as we can get it up to 5 feet 9 inches, I'll be happy.
[Okay so he's 5 foot 8 1/2 inches, but you know what he can embellish a little]
no subject
Five feet nine inches?
[He straightens a bit, then takes measure of Noah.]
Oh, wow. I never noticed-- you're the same height as I am! I guess that's because in school you sit down all the time...

ii, registry square
Whatever plans Ryoji had for buying things off the provided wedding registry is thrown out the window when he sees that hat. ]
Where did you get the hat? I wonder if I could buy one for Jim...
no subject
What hat? I don't know what you're talking about.
[He places his hands on his hips.]
It just so happens I'm shopping for Jim, too. I bet if we work together, we can get him a couple of truly awful gifts.
no subject
Right... it's not a hat, it's a pie.
[ He'll play along, not one to give people a hard time with things, so! Change of topic. ]
Something like a harmless practical joke? Like how bingo is feeling so far, it'd be fun to turn things back around on him.
no subject
Right, back to Jim.]
Yeah, like that! I was thinking about covering everything in glitter. A lot of glitter. Whoever opens that package will end up with glitter on them for months.
What's your name, by the way? I'm Sorey.
no subject
If he'd known a bit earlier, Ryoji would have posed it as an advice column question: "I need to buy a registry item for somebody I am upset at. What would you recommend?" GLITTER BOMB. But there'll be chances for that later. ]
My name's Ryoji, and I love the idea of a glitter bomb. An entire box full as opposed to just a tiny tube!
[ There is no better way to say "Fuck you, Jim" than with glitter ]
no subject
[Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunity for advice columning soon. He's taking it to the network, after all.]
An entire box! That's even better than what I was thinking. I'll make sure to put some in the card, too.
Okay, so-- we need to find a kiosk to look up his registry.
