[ Usually, Mizuki Sena would be the face of the restaurant in the typical mascot gear. Animal ears, animal tail, Japanese clothing... Doesn't look like it's only him today. Takumi is unfortunately dressed up in kemonomimi alongside his friend and pomeranian (Momo is dressed up, too), hanging outside of the restaurant and passing out flyers/pamphlets to promote their new menu items. Noodles. Udon. Zaru soba for the summer!

He's all smiles, expression bright and generally chipper. Even though his hair and eye color changed completely, he has to work. ]

[ The purrista is enjoying his day inside the building with all the cats. With ears on his head, he's working the siphons and brews with ease between taking orders. If you're outside, peering in with a curious look, he'll approach you to coax you in. If you're already here, he'll be taking your order. Either way, there is no escape from all the cats as they rub against your legs and pine for your attention. ]

Akira definitely sees how Jakob is amicable, easier to engage with, and the better pick at the beginning. Hm. He's still not sold seriously on either boys (Akira why are you taking this seriously). After some time, they finally get to see the family. For the most part, Akira is lost in thought. ]

[ Akira takes the laptop, but he decides to pause it because it would be rude to continue without Goro. Setting it back onto the coffee table, he decides it's better to keep conversation than dive back into the world of Vampires and Werewolves. ]

[ He rests and folds his arms on top of the sofa's backrest, making it a nice cradle for his head as he observes a wife making curry. ]

It is, from what I remember. I'm sure the fact that he can't hear Stella's thoughts is as much of a relief as it is terrifying, being so used to it in the first place.

[He stirs it, idly adding in some of his Secret Ingredient, and works it through the vegetable-beef mixture.]

... What sort of power would you like, if you had to choose? I mean, their powers evolve from knacks they had in life, Edmund had always been good at reading others and that translated to telepathy, but if you could choose, what would it be?

[ Akira hums as he thinks about it more. It seems like Edmund's fixation only grows with ever special snorflake trait Stella gains. It's not a bad plot device... But he is definitely not into this romance.

What a curse. [ Fight on, ancient virgin. ] I think shapeshifting would be cool. What about you?

[ Though his first thought was definitely having a Persona. ]

[The worldbuilding is by far the more fascinating part of the Dusk saga, the romance is absolute horseshit.]

[Maybe they're more on the same page than previously thought, or their tastes continue to lean the same way. Goro lugs out a rice cooker, laughing a little.]

We might not even need vampires for that, Akira. Who knows what Retrospec will do? Maybe we'll lose gravity and have to deal with that for the rest of our lives, while the rest of Recolle continues as if nothing's different.

[... Which is always unnerving, but you know what. That's fine.]

[ He had some good comments about the chances that the gravity thing would happen to both of them at the same time, but the last line only provokes a very. flat and incredulous. stare. Wait. He turns, narrowing his eyes at Akira.] And besides, weren't you a little too into it yourself? Most people would have backed off far before we got to anywhere near what you were doing! You backed me against a wall.

[ Oh?? Goro is fighting back. Usually Goro would try to challenge this in a calm, collective, and calculating manner (the triple Cs), but not today. Akira is actually taken aback by the outbursts and accusations, not ready at all.

No. He has this. He totally has this. Putting on a smile (nervous, by the way), this is his last play. ]

All words that describe that answer, but Goro's starting to smile (it's not a good thing). Sets the plates aside, goes to lean on the kitchen doorway with his arms crossed.]

I'm tempted to ask you a follow-up question, but I'm not sure if I want to do it now or after I let you eat. Which would you prefer, Akira?

[ Akira can hear the jeopardy music playing in the background as he left with this destiny changing choice. He has played a visual novel or two and knows that these are important, like... If I choose the wrong one, I'll die horribly kind of important.

He weighs the pros and cons. If he asks for it to wait after dinner, he can enjoy the delicious food before being verbally attacked. However, Goro might pressure him with his passive-aggressive aura— ]

[ HE ISN'T SCARED. The smile on his face is still there. ]

[He raises an eyebrow, watching Akira for a moment before judging his own pros and cons. It'd be better now, but he wants to be contrary too... and Akira is clearly a little nervous, if not scared at all...

Goro tilts his head slightly, more teasing than accusing.]

[ Oh. This actually isn't too bad. He cocks one eyebrow as he watches Goro look satisfied with his question. You think you have him cornered?

[ It's all just teasing? Goro was pretty adamant on resting on top of him when they were in his room. ]

[ His instinctive reply is "I'm a cat, I can't help it. Meow." BUT this is a full-blown war. At first he brings a hand to rest on his lips as he pretends to ponder. ]

[ Is it a protagonist habit to do fingerguns? Well, he's going to do it right now. Bang bang. ]

[Goro pretends he's been shot, hand to his chest and slumping a bit against the doorway with a slight grin.]

[... Because he's not letting his curry burn over this, okay, he's going back to make sure it finishes nicely in time with the rice. Plate it up and wonder if he should spoil Akira a little with some bread.]

[ That gains a couple of snickers out of him. What a good sport? ]

[ It's only fair when he invaded Goro's space rather assertively, so he doesn't mind. Though... He wonders if he should spruce it up just for the visit. The tantalizing aroma of curry is destroying him, so he's finally going to get off the sofa and slip into the kitchen. ]

[Hum. He'll get a spoon, taking some of the curry out and holding it up to Akira, a hand beneath to catch anything that drops. It'd be domestic if Goro didn't look a little nervous at someone besides his mom eating his cooking for once, but you can't have everything.]
