[So...

She'd gotten into contact with Takumi at some point during this whole bingo announcement, discussing shared squares and opportunities to fulfill them in a conversation they totally, absolutely 100% had.

Through text.

And she neglected to mention her current predicament because after this long, she's so tired of even talking about it, least of all having to acknowledge it. She just wants to live her life.

So Aki arrives first at the park, big red kite in her hands, and when she spots Takumi arrive approaches him to get this started with.]

Hey, Takumi. You ready?

[ That conversation probably only lasted for so long since it's these to, even through text. Either way, he's here to fly kites with her before he notices... Something awfully strange? Is it him? Or is she... Shorter? ]

[ He brought his own kite, though it's a little more decorated than hers. Despite that, HE'S JUST STARING/looming over her like. Is he going crazy? How should he even mention it? ]

Did you do something to your hair?

[After she finishes up with Takumi, Aki pulls her kite in and starts to put it away. She's absolutely planning on damaging it a little then trying to talk the place she bought it from into a refund, considering she will never need a kite ever again in her entire life.

Except you know what makes for good kite flying weather? The wind.

And unfortunately, it's going against her right now when a strong gust of wind blows the kite right out of her hands, leading it to fly off on its own wildly.

...is she gonna give chase for 15 bucks? You bet.]

[Being greeted by a kite handle flying towards your face was not what Maggie was expecting. But of course, she grabbed it out of reflex. She looked over towards where the woman had called out for her kite, and making sure to keep a tight grip on it, extended her arm outwards towards Aki.]

"Here. This is yours, right?"

[..ah. This is someone new.

She doesn't especially like meeting strangers right now because it'll make for awkward "no im not actually a small child" conversations either now or later.

At the same time, this woman did catch her kite for her, so...she accepts it.]

Yeah, thanks. Wind's kind of strong today.

"Almost. But, with my amazing reflexes, i caught it in time." [She's speaking dramatically, or rather, how she normally speaks. But as she looks at the kite, she realizes something. She pulls out her phone and looks at her bingo card, before putting it away.]

"I might need to borrow it later. For reasons."

[Ah. Someone else who needs to do this stupid tile.

Well, there's only one thing for it.]

It cost me 15 bucks, so I'll sell it to you for 10.

"Deal." [She pulls out her wallet, and promptly hands over 10 bucks. Yep, totally worth it. She takes hold of the kite tightly, and while she is here, begins to strike up casual conversation.] "So, how long have you been on Retrospec for?"

[In the interest of supporting one of the few adults she Actually Likes, she agreed to head on down to the zoo with Kazuma and pet a rabbit. In exchange, they'll work something off on her card. At this point she considers doing the fountain or sharing a memory.

But that can wait. For now, she arrives at the entrance to the zoo and approaches Kazuma immediately, giving him a nudge on the arm.]

Hey. Did I keep you waiting long?

[...come to think of it, they've never met off of the network.

And while he had his face as his profile picture, hers was never her face to begin with

maybe he was talking to an extremely precocious child all along.]

[ An adult going alone to the petting zoo to pet a rabbit is kind of sad. So it's nice of Akinobu to offer to join him.

He, uh, was expecting maybe more of a teenager, or, well, an adult. But he's gonna try his best not to look too surprised. This is exactly the kind of Yakuza substory his life is all about. ]

It's fine, I was early. [ He shrugs. He's really having to crane his neck down to talk to her. ]

[She did nod, but she decided to correct him anyway.]

Also, she pulls cash out of her pocket to cover the cost of a child's ticket, handing it to him.]

[ Kiryu knows better than to open that can of worms. He's also no stranger to orphans, given that he's dating one. ]

[ He's kind of glad but also embarrassed. Somehow... little kids shouldn't have to pay. But hey, Aki's a very precocious and capable child, obviously. If she wants to be treated like an adult, then Kiryu will do just that.

He will also go ahead and buy them their tickets then hand Aki hers. Nothing weird about that. ]
