It's an old episode | [OPEN]
WHO: Shouto and various
WHERE: Various
WHEN: Throughout July!
WHAT: Bingo catchall/open post
WARNINGS: Probably nothing
A. Bonfire
[Shouto's been moving driftwood to a small pile on the beach. He wonders if he's supposed to line it with rocks here too, so he looks out of his depths for a moment. Making fires like this is new to him, but in the end, he's surrounding it with rocks.
Noticeably his left hand seems to be on fire, though it's clearly not bothering Shouto at all.
He kneels down, putting that hand next to the fire and keeping it there until the wood catches on fire.]
B. Marshmallows
[Now for the second part of that bottom right square. He has an extra large bag of marshmallows and a whole bunch of marshmallow sticks. When he went out to get them, he realized that they only came in packs.
So here he is, skewering a marshmallow on a stick and looking whoever's close enough over.]
Want some?
[ooc: Shouto's bingo card is here. PM or reach me on
aureatian if you want to do one! I'm willing to do the squares more than once.]

no subject
He wants to ask if that hand doesn't hurt.
Or if everybody has gone crazy once again, although he fears the answer to that one.
So he just refuses to look at Shouto, heaving a sigh.]
I want a divorce.
no subject
You can't divorce me if we aren't married.
... I'm not ready for that stage in our relationship.
[Is he joking or serious?]
no subject
And I'M not ready to go check on your just to see that your hands on fire and you're using it like a lighter!
no subject
... Yeah.
He'll turn his flames off and display his totally fine arm.]
I'm fine.

Yes! Please. Thank you.
[ No, she can't. She beams and takes the stick from Shouto. She's going to make the marshmallow perfectly golden, or it'll go down in flames. ]
Is this something you do all the time, or...?
[ Is it a Bingo thing in this month of Bingo. ]
no subject
It's kind of fun... Maybe I'll do it more often.
But it's a bingo thing.
no subject
[ She inches the marshmallow closer to the flame because it's not toasting as quickly as she wants. ]
no subject
[Shouto'll stick his own marshmallow over the fire.]
... You can pop popcorn like this? I thought that was microwave only.

But a person's hand being on fire... Well, that's a thing now, apparently. Koutarou can't help but stare at that.
Sorry, he'll snap out of it soon. It's just, it's a little unsettling to see. (It doesn't look like the boy is in pain at least so it's gotta be one of those powers, right...?) ]
no subject
But on his defence, he actually meant to do it this time around.]
... Are you okay?
no subject
[ Because while he looks like he's not in pain, that's still a bit worrisome. And what if he loses control of the fire and actually sets himself on fire or sets something else on fire? ]
no subject
I'm fine.
[He'll pull his hand out and turn the flames off.]
No burns or anything.

some red-headed kid just walking by does a double-take because... yeah, you don't see that every day. that hand sure is on fire. ]
... Is that some kind of trick, or do you need help?
no subject
He looks like there's nothing at all weird about this scene. If given the choice to just deal with the incredibly weird power he was given like it's not a big deal or panic... he's just going to treat it like a normal thing.
There is only so much energy he has to panic, and that should be reserved for other things.]
What?
[So eloquent, as he keeps his arm in the fire.]
no subject
[ actually, saying it is slightly surreal. he just... walks on over and takes shouto's arm if he'll let him, to pull his hand out of the bonfire. because come on, that's pretty alarming. ]
no subject
[Shouto edges away from him when he tries to get close.]
I... spontaneously set my arm on fire, it doesn't hurt me. But it might hurt you.
So don't touch it.

Thanks.
[ He'll take the marshmallow on the stick and scoots over so Shouto can sit down with him by the fire. ]
I'm guessing you didn't use a lighter to set the fire.
no subject
... What gave it away?
no subject
Nothing really. Just a hunch. No need to spend money on buying lighters or matches if you can start a fire on your own.
no subject
Shouto, please.]
I forgot to bring anything else. So it seemed easier to do it like this.
[He'll spear a marshmallow and start roasting it over the fire.]

sand castles~
Finally, he settles on a spot several feet away from the water, but close enough to make filling their buckets easy, and in a more secluded part of the beach. He's brought with him two plastic sand buckets and a shovel. Izuku can't remember the last time he ever built a sand castle and, to his surprise, beings to feel anticipation as he waits for Shouto to join him.]
no subject
He arrives a few minutes later with a bucket and shovel in one hand, and a picnic basket in the other.]
Izuku.
[He settles next to him.]
Have you done this a lot?
no subject
[He smiles up at Shouto from his spot on the sand and gives the picnic basket a curious look. He hadn't even thought to bring them lunch. His mom would have prepared something if he'd told her.]
I did when I was younger. It was one of my favorite parts about going to the beach. But I haven't built one for a long time. What about you?
Did you bring us lunch?
no subject
Hm... I've done it a couple of times this month. But I didn't do it while I was growing up.
Yeah. Mom said it would be good if we were planning on staying out here for a while.
