This is a catch-all log for Toshi's Bingo card! Any prompts without a name on them (most of them) are ripe for the picking, and I'm totally okay with doing prompts more than once, so if you have prompts that overlap with Toshi's and want to fill out your own card, let's do it!

Closed to Chuuya

[It's the end of the day at the Inkwell, which means it's early in the morning after a long night of work and a 2am last call. Perfect timing.]

Hey, boss. I got a favor to ask you.

[Sort of.]

Yeah? Sure thing.

[Chuuya sets down the last of the glasses he'd been drying, turning to face Toshi and give him his full attention.]

You gonna need a day off or something, or is this the same thing everyone's asking weird favors for?

[arahoushi]

[Toshi laughs. There have been a lot of people running around either doing or asking for help doing all sorts of odd things recently.]

Yeah, got it in one. Listen, I've gotten a couple squares on this card filled out, but the free space is a lot less free than I'd like. It's....not something I'd really wanna do with someone I don't know pretty well already, y'know?

Shit, tell me about it. They want me to pretend to be a vampire, it's the dumbest thing I've heard in my life.

[and he's playing the game anyway, because he's just that desperate to find out more. well played, jerks.]

Nah, it's not bad exactly, it's just... Hang on, y'know what, if I'm gonna do this I wanna do it right.

[Just give him a second, he's going to take a knee and bow his head and boy if that doesn't look like he's getting ready to propose.

Closed to Zoro

Okay, gym's closed, streets are busy, we've got these...cards.

[Bingo is not what Toshi expected out of Retrospec but at this point maybe he shouldn't be surprised anymore.]

I'm thinking instead of our usual, we go for a change of pace.

[stopbleeding]

[Slumped in a chair and his feet on a table, Zoro watches Toshi over his toes.]

So what? A fight out back?

[Alley fights are something they do only once every two weeks. That counts as switching it up, right?]

It says sparring. Or a duel. Same thing.

[arahoushi]

[Toshi stretches out and taps Zoro's foot with his knuckles.]

Nah, not that.

[An alley fight would be good, they've overdue for one, but he's thinking something more ridiculous than that.]

You're looking at the wrong squares, we spar all the time. Nah, this one. Thumb war.

[Look at the square, Zoro. Look with your special eyes.]

[Zoro does indeed look...

... unimpressed.]

Too easy. It'll be over too fast. Besides, it's only on yours.

[He nudges those knuckles away with the toe of his boots. Get outta here with that nonsense.]

Closed to Kashuu

[He's doing it. He never drinks coffee, but here he is at A Good Bean because actually, it turns out doing this bingo stuff is pretty fun. ...Also it's a chance to hassle a good buddy, and he's never going to pass up one of those.

Toshi waits patiently in line until he gets up to the counter and flashes Kashuu a very pointy grin -- he's trying for "just your average customer" but the sharky teeth kind of ruin the effect. Oh well.]

Yeah, can I get a uuuh....

["CAN I GET A UUUH"... Well, not surprising. Kashuu doesn't think he's seen Toshi stop by during one of his shifts to actually order a drink before... His sharky grin doesn't even seem that suspicious!

Since he's a good barista though, he won't leave the poor guy hanging with his decisions, so--]

Need something to wake you up? Or d'you want something that just tastes nice. We just got in some dragonfruit syrup that mixes really well with our lemonade, I think you might like that one.

Huh, that does sound really good.

[It does, he's not even pretending. His genuine reaction to that will probably make his ridiculous deception even better.]

But listen, my friend told me about this thing I have to try, it's a uh...something beans....something...

[He snaps his fingers.]

Right! I got it. Magic Beanstalk Beans-- I think it's a frappe or something. Like the unicorn one you had a couple months back.

To be fair though, most of the people who have pulled this have actually bought drinks afterward so he hasn't had to track anyone down or write NO MAGIC BEANS signs on the door... And he probably wouldn't anyway, since it's a great way to meet more people stuck in Retrospec hell.

Sure, sure. One Magic Beanstalk Beans frappuccino, coming riiight up. You want that to be a twenty ounce?

[He's actually making this a thing just for Toshi. Whether that's good or bad will soon be seen...]

friend of a friend

[Hang out with a friend of a friend. Okay, that's easy, Shuji knows plenty of people who have friends on here. It's not stalking if it's public information. Can he pick one he won't be too nervous about actually approaching randomly for 'hey can we hang out for bingo'...

After deliberation, he decides on Toshi. He knows he's friends with Chuuya, and he knows he's not as much of an asshole as some people. So he decides sending him a message on Retrospec, at least, would be okay.]

Hey, I was wondering if we could hang out sometime? Partly because of the bingo thing and partly because you just seem pretty cool.

[There, now he doesn't completely sound like a dick for using this as a way to fill out his card.]

[Oh, this is a surprise message, isn't it?]

anytime!! you have to do anything special or is it just "hang out" with someone? we could do something together. knock out more squares!

[Shuji's pretty lucky, Toshi is so easy going about this whole mess and honestly enjoying doing these assorted bingos so much that he wouldn't have been bothered by just about any message out of the blue.]

chocobo racing!

[ rindou's been pacing around the chocobo stables at the beach for a while, because he's working up the courage to fill his chocobo-racing square — since he's, you know, never ridden one before. chocobos are free to ride today, and there's even a location set up on the sand for racing, so it's just his own worries holding him back.

anyway, that sure is a familiar face nearby! he points in toshi's direction with an exclamation, and then comes rushing over. ]

Hey, it's you! The "argh" guy!

[ i'm sorry ]

["It's you the argh guy" wha--

OH.

It takes a second for Toshi to make the connection, but he laughs when he does.]

The "argh" guy! That's how you remember my dramatic death??

[Beautiful. He's so happy. Let him just wipe the tears from his eyes.]

It's Toshi, by the way. Since we were too busy dueling to the death to exchange names, you ruffian.

[surprising]

Yeah! That was really impressionable, you know?

[ he'll remember it forever... no one's ever argh'd at him before?!

but it's when toshi mentions his name that he finally puts two and two together, coming to a realization. ]

Oh, then you're also that guy I met over the network! The bouncer, right? I'm Rindou.

[arahoushi]

Impressionable! ...Yeah, I'll take that.

[Okay, be gentle with him here, Rindou, he doesn't....remember which conversation that was...]

Yeah, the bouncer! Uh...remind me what we talked about?

Leo

[arahoushi]

[It turns out he's actually really close to a bingo, much to his own surprise, so for all that Toshi was going about this casually before, he's actually making an effort now. Which means...]

Hey!

[There's a short kid. Looks easily carry-able. Bingo square doesn't say he has to carry someone far, so yeah this ought to work.]

Hey, I need a favor. Can you let me carry you to...wherever it is your going? Or at least the end of the block?

[ucchu]

[AS IF LEO WOULD SAY NO. he perks up at the call, looks up at toshi with a curious stare for a moment-

then grins at him with a laugh in his voice, already just. trying to fucking climb him like a tree.]

Absolutely! Let's go, let's go~ Just don't drop me, okay?

[arahoushi]

[That was easy! He actually wasn't expecting it to be that easy...or to suddenly get climbed on like that. But hey, it works out. Toshi takes a second to adjust and make sure he won't drop Leo.]

Don't worry! I carry people around all the time and I've never dropped anyone!

[Mostly. That one time with the baby doesn't count.]

Right! Where to?

[leo lets him adjust, shifting to perch on toshi's shoulders and not really bothering to hold on too tightly... it sounds fun, and he trusts this total stranger who just asked to carry him off somewhere.

[he makes a grand gesture in that direction, giving toshi a little nudge.]
