recolle | Bingo/Other June Stuff Catchall! [OPEN]

WHO: Kurt Wagner and Yooouuuu?!
WHERE: All around town!
WHEN: From July 3rd onwards... pretty much a catchall for the first half of the month
WHAT: Kurt's adventures as he attempts to fill out his bingo card and also has to deal with having a weird power, different from the weird power he was already getting used to.
WARNINGS: None yet, will update if necessary

A. You Know the Rules

[Kurt Wagner goes door to door, with a fancy-looking book of lyrics in hand. And he's also wearing a Santa hat. Because might as well go for full ridiculousness, right?

He'll knock on pretty much anyone's door, whether he knows them or not. And once they open? He'll sway in imitation of Rick Astley himself and begin to sing.]

We're no strangers to love...
You know the rules, and so do I!

[Yes, of course he's singing "Never Gonna Give You Up". Except that he's singing it in a style that actually sounds more like this song.

Of course, your character doesn't have to be the one answering the door. They can join if they want! ~~Or try to file a complaint~~]

B. Classic Rock

[Kurt has made his way out to the lake located within Recolle Woods. And he's ready to practice some stone-throwing!

He picks up a rock with a smirk and tries throwing it right at the water! ...Except it proceeds to sink in without bouncing once.

After a few similar tries, Kurt groans and pulls at his hair in frustration.]

Aw, c'mon! It's always so easy on tv!

C. Role Models

[Even with all of the running around he's doing for this damn bingo game, Kurt still makes time for his first modeling photoshoot. And so, one morning you can find him outside a building in Tisse where modeling shoots happen. For once, Kurt is dressed in clothes that seem genuinely trendy, and he's even wearing a belt! But as the shoot's time draws closer, he looks at his reflection in his iphone and frets loudly]

Oh man, oh man... Come on, Kurt. You can do this. You can do this!

[Her chipper energy is infectious! As she poses her question, Kurt chuckles knowingly as his gamer mode is briefly activated.]

Either that, or my exp has just been shooting up magically this whole time! [Then, he goes on more normally.] How've you been?

[He figures he might as well catch up a bit before asking for help.]

Oh you know, busy with school and work and dealing with Retrospec. The usual. Except now that it's summer vacation, it's busy with relaxing and dealing with Retrospec, instead.

[He snorts at that response.]

I know that feeling! It's not too different on my end. [Aside from also job hunting.]

Hey, have you found yourself using the word 'bingo' a lot more lately?

At least ten times a day since the beginning of this week.

[She tugs her phone out of her back pocket and pulls up her bingo card, offering it to him.]

Any that we can help each other out with?

Ha! Legit. [He peers at her card.]

Man, I could try to lend you a hand with some of these! But... I kinda also have my own I'm trying to do right now.

[He sheepishly holds up the jump rope.]

[Her eyes light up at the sight of the familiar toy.]

I haven't used one of those in ages! What's the challenge supposed to be?

[He grins, looks at his phone and then narrates in an over-the-top attempt at impersonating some sort of English monarch.]

Play jump rope with at least oooone other person!

Oh, I could definitely help you with that! I'm a little rusty, but jumping is like riding a bicycle, you never forget.

[She holds out her hand with an open palm.]

May I?

Awesome! [He pumps a fist through the air in celebration.]

You may! [He hands an end if the jump rope to her.]

[She nods her thanks and takes the rope into her hands, knees slightly bent in anticipation of the jumping.]

Okay, here I go...

[Her arms pinwheel, and she hops. The rope slips beneath the soles of her feet with ease, two three four five more times. It doesn't take that long for her to get confident, and soon she's doing little 'tricks', switching the foot she's hopping on with each rotation and almost looking like she's shuffling in place.]

Yup, still got it.

[Kurt can't do anything but watch, simply amazed by how easily she does those tricks that look so hard.]

Whooooaaaa! That's so cool... You're like a real pro!

Aw, thanks! But there's no comparison, real pros are so fast, the rope actually blurs in the air.

[She comes to a stop and then hands him the rope back.]

You should try too! And then after we can try and find some other people to turn the rope for us so we can jump together.

Okay, okay, so you weren't faster than the human eye. But that was still pretty darn good!

[He takes the jumprope back and prepares himself.]

Your plan sounds like the way to go! Okay, here I go!

[He starts jump roping. He does it very slowly and nervously at first, but then he picks up speed and confidence.]

This is actually pretty fun! [Although, it's not too long before he manages to snag a foot on the rope and stumbles over.] Whoa!

[Minako catches his shoulder before he falls completely.]

You did great! You've definitely got the basics down, and so fast too. Think you're ready for the major leagues?

Thanks! [he says at the assist and gets back up.]

Alrighty then, I think we're ready. Let's get this show on the road!

[Luckily it's not too hard to find some kids lurking nearby, recognizing him from tv. Kurt approaches them with the jump rope in hand.]

Hey kids! Fuzzy has a very important mission to you... help us jump rope, and we'll get you the gnarliest of ice cream in return!

Cupcakes. The gnarliest cupcakes.

[Because she can get those for free.

Excellent though, now they have some people to turn the rope for them!]

Wanna bet on how many rotations we can go before we trip? I'm thinking we're good enough to get to twenty five.

Even better!

[They're really offering up a sweet deal.

With that prepared, Kurt gets ready to start jumping! But first he faces Minako down confidently.]

You're on!! You know what... I'll say thirty! What should we bet with?

Hmmm...ice creams and cupcakes?

[Guess who's hungry right now.]

Oh great, it's stuck in your head now, isn't it?

[A beat.]

Man, now I'm craving some too! Alright... ice creams and cupcakes it is!

You're on.

[With a nod to the kids and a countdown of three, the jump roping starts!]

One, two, three, four...

[It begins!! Kurt leaps quickly, with renewed confidence!]

Five, six, seven, eight, nine!

Ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen-- whoops! [Very close to tripping, but not quite.] Fourteen, fifteen!

[Here they go! Kurt has a few more near stumbles than her, but he manages to save himself and keep on going.]

Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen! Nineteen, twenty!

[The kids seem impressed with their progress! ..Huh, are their movements getting faster...?]

[Uh oh. She recognizes that glint in their eyes. That's the "we are going to do our best to sabotage you" look. Now they have to make it to thirty, just to prove to the kids they can do that well! She doesn't even care if she loses the bet!]

Twenty-one, twenty two, twenty-three--!

[Those mischievous kids! Kurt tries his best to keep up.]

Twenty-four. Twenty-five, twenty-six-! [Kurt starts to slip up!]
