Alright, well how about you show how you do it, then? You got it up in the air once already, so you can do it again and show it this time.

[With a regretful sigh she tugs the kite down from its happy floating in the air, and catches it before it hits the grass. And then she pretty much...sends it flying effortlessly because she's Minako and Rayne has no idea how kite flying works.]

James mimics her actions exactly, but his own falls to the ground immediately. ]

Alright you know what? Switch with me. I'll keep yours up in the air and you can get mine flying and then we'll be even.

[But...when did they need to get even in the first place...Minako doesn't quite get him, but getting his kite up is easy enough, just a little throw and flick of the wrist.]

[Now please let her fly her kite in peace.]

[ He would be lying to himself if he said he wasn't kind of jealous of the way she could just send it flying in the air as though there was nothing to it. While kite-flying is not really a relevant skill to his life, he can't help but be annoyed with his inability to do it.

Not like that's something worth bringing up right now. Especially because right now he's just glad to have it up. As soon as his kite's up in the air, he offers a swap, handing back Minako's kite in exchange for his own. ]

Okay, someday you are going to have to find a way to teach me how to do that.

Is kite flying a new hobby of yours?

Not really. My family keeps trying to make flying kites a thing, even though my sister and I both suck at it.

But it's apparently the kite time of year again, and plus there's that kite square on my bingo card, so here I am.

I see. Kite-flying sounds like a cute family activity, though! They have some really big kites on sale, you know, like dragons and bugs and stingrays. Those would be great for an entire family to fly together.
