At first he struggles a bit, so he stops to do some quick stretches. SECOND ATTEMPT—he has the pose down pat. Easy. ]

[ her gaze darts up for just a moment—perhaps if she keeps finding cat items, the bowl will eventually be in reaching distance, and she'll be able to nab it... with this idea in mind, she's backing up a step, grabbing the next cat thing she can find.

That's right, it's Yu! ... yeah, she has somehow missed the memo that there are twins. Whoever he is, though, she's mad. But she doesn't hit him again, so he's got that going for him at least.]

Dude, what the hell?! [cough] You could've drowned me!

[That's what he's just risked his life for? Ragna's expression of disgust is now joined by a scowl; he's never intended to be a part of that shitty game, much less suffer for it.]

[He may have actually listened to his warnings then. Maybe. Probably not, though, he's far too stubborn for that.]

[He trails off, trying to find an appropriate comparison for this assault on his taste buds, but finds nothing. After all, he's never eaten something this bad.

Sure, they were just little kids back then, but the dishes she prepared could probably knock out an elephant. He could never bring himself to tell her that, though, since she always seemed to enthusiastic and eager to help out in the kitchen, and there was nothing he wanted more than to see her happy.

[Yeah, about that... the incident has certainly left a bad taste in Ragna's mouth, literally and figuratively speaking. But at the same time, the experience has brought back something important ─ something that has really changed his perspective ─ and as such, Ragna is willing to (begrudgingly) say they're even.

[He gives him a confident smirk that Souji might remember from back when Ragna insisted on trying Mystery Food X 2.0. But this time will be different. Granted, he's never ridden a chochobo before, but what could possibly be difficult about that? It's just a big chicken. You sit on it and it does the rest. There's not way he could lose this.]

Yes, and I recommend that if you're unsure where to get your bats, just wander into dark wet caves to find them. The more vicious and feral they are, the better employees they can be.

It just shows how dedicated they are to defending you when you win over their loyalty.

[ Souji was totally ready to have his head chewed off, both figuratively and literally, but then Ragna trails off and he has to wonder if this is another effect from the Mystery Food X 2.0. He gets out another bottle of water from his bag and he holds it out for Ragna to take. ]

A terrible one. One enough to disown, I'd say.

[ The tone is light and obviously joking but lbr here this will probably happen in a few weeks so ayyy ruining these heartfelt and serious inner bracket stuff with bad propose ]

[ is she quoting hamlet at him? oh no, she didn't. little does she know is that souji is a master at shakespeare. he can't quote lines along with their actual placement in the play but he does remember some quotes because he's an overachiever whose best subject is in english ]

[ and with that, souji decides not to wait any longer and he lunges. he still tries to keep one hand up high while using the other one to grab the kitchen towel. during the struggle, she might be able to grab the sugar bowl or try to take it from him only to drop it so your move ]

[ Yeah, like, the first time these Chocobos arrived, Souji got on them with his uncle and they totally caused a ruckus. It was great. But anyway, Souji will try to pick out a nice looking bird. It seems tame enough to let him on, but the question is... will it win?? (spoilers: it probably won't) ]

Recolle is a pretty weird place. [ he says as if he lived here for longer than seven months ] Pretty impressive, Kurusu, but how long can you hold this for?

[ also souji will refer to akira by either his first name or last name, depending on the situation. ]

[ As Yu's hand comes to wrap around their hands, Souji looks up and a wave of gratitude comes over him. ]

Especially not Retrospec. [ He repeats, affirming this. He grips onto Yu's other hand and he closes his eyes, letting him find the same strength that Yu has right now. There's a faint smile as he finds relief in knowing that this conversation seemed to go smoother than he thought. ] Thank you.

I'm glad that I have you as my twin. I really wouldn't have it any other way.
