[Goro "Best Boss Ever" Majima opened up the club during the day to host a party for Tuuri's 21st birthday, and basically anyone that Tuuri's exchanged names with in Recolle is invited. (Even the minors, if Tuuri has her say, just don't get Majima into trouble.) There's tons of decorations, some sort of Europop playing because it seemed like a safe choice, a cake, the works! Stop in, mingle around, don't mind the antisocial guy in the corner who's got to be a cousin or something, and help Tuuri celebrate her return to a legal drinking age in her country of residence!

As an added bonus, her birthday is so close to Independence Day that there are a ton of fireworks and other celebrations in (what she can pretend is) her honor. Once Club Sunshine needs to kick them out for the night in order to open on time, Tuuri proposes moving to the beach to hang out and maybe set off a few sparklers of their own. Too young to go to a host club and get hammered? Never met Tuuri before in your life? It's all good, come hang out at the beach instead! There might even be some bingo going on. So drop on by and (try to) say hyvää syntymäpäivää!

(But seriously, you don't get cake until you say hyvää syntymäpäivää.)]

[Is she tired of boys having longer hair than her, because wow, there were so many boys with luscious locks around???? Lalli was just lazy and didn't care, on top of deciding that going out to get his hair cut frequently was an unnecessary pain in the ass. What was their excuse?

Also, he definitely notices the twine and doesn't say anything. It's fine.]

[To be fair, almost every boy she knows has hair longer than she does... so yeah, maybe there's some longing going on here. But no, she waves that idea away with her hand.] No, it's not that, it's fine! I like it a lot in the summer, actually. But I thought it would be a... you know, an exciting change for a new school year, new country! But it still doesn't feel that exciting.

[Hmm...]

Maybe I could dye it!

Of course not. It's hair.

[He'll...never really understand her or why she does things, huh? Why people do things... Most of them didn't make sense. He doesn't have the one person who made sense to fall back on, this time, so he should...try. Maybe. She's family.]

Blue or green, or he will cry.

[If you don't have grey hair, you're probably betraying the family somehow.]

Aww, but what's the point of dying it if no one can see the colors! [She huffs, though she wasn't even thinking about her brother's reaction... Lalli is definitely in the right here.] But you're probably right. I think he'd have a heart attack if he saw a picture of me with pink hair or something like that.

[We're going to say grandma did not die of a heart attack because Tuuri isn't that callously oblivious.]

[I should really nail down exactly what happened with them all.]

Ooh, like maybe just a streak on one side, and I'll only take pictures from the other angle. [As if to... test the feasibility of this, she touches her hand to one side of her ploof of hair as she takes her phone out with the other, trying to find an angle to take the picture where her hand isn't visible.] It's... doable, but he'd probably be able to tell that something was up, huh.

[Lalli shrugs.]

Probably.

[Even if he couldn't, he'd work himself into a tizzy enough that it would make it seem like he had. Being related to that guy is Suffering, though Lalli can't say he's exactly affected by it a ton. Feels good to be a cousin living far away for a long time instead of a sibling rushing off into adventure.]

It's still just hair.

Yeeeaah, [she drags out with a weary sigh] but he always makes the biggest deal out of everything.

[So she won't do it, even if she wants to. The same thing she's been doing her entire life, with the notable exception of moving here.]

[Well that's kind of a bummer. Lalli might not care about the intricacies of conversation all that much, but she's still his cousin and it's still her birthday, so he'll try to act a little more enthused than not at all about the fun stuff she's actually getting to do.]

Mmn, sure. Thanks for the candy. [Since, uh... Yeah. Anyway.] This bar doesn't look as gross as I thought it would. It's clean? That's nice.

[And it's, like, classy, but he's not going to say something like that. Point is: good job with the workplace, Tuuri.]

[Hearing that does cheer her up a little-- after all, she's one of the people who works to keep the bar clean, so that compliment really is Lalli telling her she's doing a good job.] You're right. Thanks, Lalli! It's a pretty cool place, right? My boss is pretty cool, too. He's the one with the eyepatch.

[He thought eyepatches were supposed to be cool? But it might be a fresh wound in more ways than one, he supposes.]

Oh. No, of course not. [She sounds legitimately surprised that he would ask, because to her the entire point of going to a party is to talk to everyone. Like, intellectually she knows that doesn't apply to Lalli, but she defaults to the assumption that everyone at her party is talking to everyone else.] Just, if you do end up talking to him.
