Catching Up (Closed)
WHO: Chloe & Emilie
WHERE: An Ice Cream Parlor in Tisse
WHEN: backdated to 6/13
WHAT: Catching up on recent problems for both friends
WARNINGS: Chloe's memories include death, disturbing behavior by child assassins and indoctrination, just so you're aware.
Chloe slipped into the creamery, looking around and finding a seat by the door while she waited on Emilie. The two of them definitely had a bit to catch up on. It wasn't like they didn't talk enough about the crap that was happening to them. Really, it was as much an excuse to spend time with her friend, which was important to her. Talking over the network just wasn't the same. So, she was all too happy to see her.
There were things that she could tell her, things she could fill her in on, and one of the nice things about this deliciously cool environment was that there were a couple booths just out of earshot of most anyone as long as they kept their voices down. But, really, she just wanted to see her.

"I hope you didn't wait long..."

"I like your dress. I like you in white. It suits your skin well. Hope you're ready to get sung to." Seriously, that was the only weird downside about this place. she never understood the fascination... but the ice cream was sinfully decadent.

"I wanted to look my best for you."

She shrugged. "But you look... very nice, really."

Fortunately, it wasn't going to be that long before they were settled back in a booth, two sets of ice-cream in front of them. Chloe's was swirled with raspberries and chocolate and needlessly decadent. But that's how it went here.
Settling down, she smiled across at Emilie, taking a bite and relishing the taste before making sure it was out and available if her friend wanted a taste herself. "So... we've both been a little busy, but who goes first, Emilie?"
no subject
"Mm... You first."

She took a bite, her nerves not coming back this time. No, she was in control this time. She'd had enough time to think about this, to not freak out again. She needed to stop freaking out. "The one I saw today, though. They were older... and it was like this woman, Altena, was messing with the other girl's head, telling her that they were were all sinners, all killers, and that she was only at home with them, in the shadows." She shook her head.
"They've been getting progressively more disturbing, really."

She leaned in and winked at her. "But your kind, sweet friend does know how to protect you now, just so you know." Like, physically. She probably had a knife or two on her right now. She always did anymore.

"I am a little curious, and I will almost certainly go. Perhaps you should dress as a superhero, with your strength? You could pose for cameras in a costume, lifting cars." Yep, there was the impish grin she sometimes wore.
