[OPEN] RECOLLÉ TREASURE HUNT

[appraiser]

WHAT: It's time to go treasure hunting!

Four in One,
under eternal rainfall,
a ReVA event coordinator makes Five,
with clue #1 for you all.

Either by solving the above riddle, hearing the answer through the grapevine, or simply following the trickle of people gathering at the center of Recollé Square this early Sunday morning, one finds Ryoji circling the Founders fountain with a box tucked under his arm and a ready greeting for anybody that approaches him to get started on their hunt. To each team, he hands over a blank sticker and their choice of marker in any of the colors of the rainbow— red, orange, yellow, grey, grey, purple— to write down their name and their team name, along with a small white pin reading "TH 2017 Participant" in bold red. Both the name tag and the pin must be affixed somewhere visible on the front of each member's shirt before he hands over their clue.

Have fun, play hard, get on out of here and find that treasure!

...pretty sure it wasn't a sword camp specifically. [It's his turn to look vaguely weirded out, but he shakes his head.] Do you want to hear the weird part before or after we decide where to go? Guess that depends what our next guess is. Any ideas?

[Yeah he's going to do the thing where he starts to talk and then immediately deflect.] 121. What do we know around here that's over one hundred? Annabeth has a point, could be an address. [Yeah bye, he's already walking off.]

I used a knife, I was just calling it sword camp because it sounded less stupid than monster hunter camp. [ frowns. ] Tell us the weird part while we-- hey.

[ STOP WALKING AWAY ] Well, what's around here? These addresses aren't in the 100s. [ walking and frowning at google maps!! ] There's not much else here in Enprise that works. Should we head into Tisse? Lots of shops and restaurants.

[aegist]

Luke, get back here! You're not leading, you have absolutely no idea where we're going!

[ time to speed jog and go punch Luke in the arm I guess ]

[chiseler]

We're heading back to Tisse. Annabeth's right, lots of food. Maybe the answer's a real bakery. I know exactly where we're going. [No he doesn't, but he's watching even as Thalia runs and punches him in the arm. He's just grabbing her arm to stop her, waiting for Annabeth to catch up and narrowing his eyes a little.]

Monster hunter camp wasn't the right word either, but it was a training camp, I think. It's a logical conclusion to what we already know, and--[There's a slightly longer pause.] Guys. Pretty sure we're not human. Not fully, anyway.

[wiselys]

A bakery... [ annabeth is just. aggressively keeping pace with luke, and letting thalia punch him. ] What about the Confectionary? They have over a hundred cupcake flavors.

[ there's a sort of half-squint at luke. ] I want to say that's stupid, but. [ tugs at her camp HALF BLOOD shirt. she wishes the idea was clearly super wild but uh. ] Do you think we're half something not-human? Like what, a crappy YA paranormal novel?

[aegist]

[ Thalia has? Two arms? Does he stop her second punch? ]

If any of us were in a love triangle with a vampire and a werewolf, I suggest we throw ourselves off of something. [ to annabeth: ] That sounds like as good an idea as any. Let's go.

[chiseler]

[No. No he does not.]

If I ever turn out to be some kind of vampire or werewolf, you're free to throw me off a cliff. I'd deserve it. [He's trying to make a joke? But it's flat and he's unsettled and he nods.] The Confectionary sounds like a good idea, and then we can talk about the fact that I think we might have been part-god.

[Well. There you go.]

Vampires and werewolves would make this all so much stupider. No, thank you.

[ WALKING TO THE CONFECTIONARY walking pauses to look at luke with Raised Eyebrows ]

Part... god? What like actual deities? Divine beings? [ what does this look like, homestuck? ]

Why do you only choose to be in a sharing mood when it might kill time to win a thing?

[ asked almost randomly, and half as a joke, as thalia goes "well. that. makes sense..." mentally and tries to not reel from the fact she's not reeling. ]

[chiseler]

Hey, I don't ask for these memories to have shitty timing. [There's a sigh as he picks up pace toward the Confectionary.] But yeah. Part-deity. And if my suspicions are right...thinking the Greek faction. Just based on what I remember.

[wiselys]

Are you sure you didn't? [ half-joking. WALK FAST, GANG. we can multitask. ] I hate that that kind of makes sense. Pegasus and sphinxes are both animals of Greek mythology-- I googled it.

[aegist]

I'd agree on the Greeks.

[ WALKING FASTER TOWARDS THE CONFECTIONARY where they will. make luke eat all the cupcakes for their next clue probably? ]

It'd make a few things make more sense? Well. For a given value of sense.

[chiseler]

It'd explain your lightning powers and my new teleportation thing even if that leaves even more questions. [They make it to the Confectionary in record time and Luke opens the door for the girls, ushering them inside.] We'll talk about that later, let's figure out clue number two.

[As they're suddenly presented with one-hundred mini cupcakes, Luke eyes the frilly pink uniform in distance before eyeing the cupcakes.]

...you don't think...[By the gods, do they have to eat all of these?]

[wiselys]

[ some sort of mumbling about not having powers. ] Like how are we part-god? Like, what, did some Greek gods just... bless us with powers at this camp place?

... We have to eat the cupcakes. [ said solemnly. she's only eating the flavors she likes so sorry luke you get most of them. ]

Correction. [ THALIA SLAPS LUKE'S SHOULDER. ] Luke has to eat the cupcakes.

[Fun fact I do not remember writing "by the gods" in my meta. Anyway, he looks like he's going to answer about the powers thing, but then Thalia's slapping him and he's just staring at the cupcakes in distain???]

Oh come on! I'm not eating all of these. [He says, as he picks up one.] I'm not getting any help in this, am I? [At least the first one is easy enough to shove in his mouth, but he is definitely sulking about it.]

[ lukie has turned into a demigod for real. ]

He doesn't have to eat all of them. [ annabeth takes her favorite flavor cupcake. ] He has to eat all but this one, specifically.

And this one, I guess.

[ THERE. THE GIRLS BOTH TOOK 1 CUPCAKE APIECE. GOOD LUCK, LUKE thalia's doesn't have the clue in it lmao. ]

[FOR FUCKS SAKE, GUYS. He's pretty much Not Chill with this but he pointedly takes another cupcake and he's slowly working his way through them.]

If I choke on paper, I blame both of you. My death will be on your hands. [But he's licking frosting off his fingers.] If I'm stuffing my face can we at least talk about the fact that we're apparently at least part-divine? Is anyone else weirded out by that?
