WHAT: Researching blueprints, discussing plans to investigate further, plotting of a more clandestine nature.

Chloe, as she had told a few people, was easily found during her off hours at the public library in Recolle. She wasn't hard to find, though she'd backed herself in against a wall, so that she could see anyone who happened to be approaching and conceal some of the things that she was looking at if she didn't know them for certain.

Anyone happening across her was going to find architectural books and drafting books around her (two of them at least yellow-bound and labeled 'for Dummies.'). She seemed to be looking over a set of blueprints, though only two of the documents were really of importance to her, both hidden until she was sure someone was a person she knew as they approached. The rest were there for practice.

She was doing a lot of frowning today, but didn't seem to be in too bad of a mood, just very busy, and a little cagey. Thankfully it was a quiet enough part of the library that a low whisper could be heard without bothering any patrons. It was a beautiful, gray day outside. People weren't usually in the library on days like this.

"Which makes me wonder about something," he said as he looks at his phone, which has a QR reader installed since he felt he might need it after that Retrospec post.

"Last month, we were given a link to a Wikihow page about how to read a map. And during that shrinking incident, Ainsley and I found a room full of maps inside the Retrospec building. I don't know if this will happen again with the QR Codes, but I know that this is not a coincidence."

"It is not but I also know that one of our number was quite public in finding a whole string of these codes under the city, in the network of subway tunnels. It would imply heavily that they're aware it happened." A frown. "And that it is likely to come up again sometime."

"I see. I also did hear the subway was shut down for some reason and the connections to the QR codes are not far off. But what does this all mean? And what does these maps with the pictures has anything to do with Retrospec and the city itself...?"

She looked at one of the maps, frowning. "I don't recognize it, honestly. Some of the maps I've seen are of Earth, but some aren't. None of them make sense, on their own ... unless..."

She frowned and looked at one that was down with all of the blueprints before glancing at him. "Do... you think these might be maps related to our hallucinations? So, if ours are of Earth, it would look normal, almost, but if it was of some world of dragons and magic or aliens, it might look very very different?"

Honestly, as she said it, she was surprised nobody had ever guessed this yet. It only made sense. If Retrospec was tied to their hallucinations, then anything they found there could potentially relate.

She does have a point. Most of his visions are related to any creatures that don't exist such as Modeste and the creatures from that red device. "That's a good theory. Also, it might able to connect everything from what our vision selves originally came from. It's a long stretch, but it all makes sense when you think about it."

With that, he opens the photo album app on his phone and shows the said maps to Chloe. "As for the maps, I also found some of them with pictures related to the changes that happened in the city so far."

Her eyes went straight to one with a Chocobo on it. Tapping it with a finger, she looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "I know someone who may wish to see this. Would you happen to have a copy of it?" she said, finger lingering there. "I believe I know at least one person who has seen these overgrown chickens in their hallucinations."

Her lips quirked into a displeased grimace before she turned to the various maps, eyes scanning them over, looking at ones that looked basically like Earth, fingers running over them for a long moment. "For those of us who have visions of Earth, I wonder how we would know which these belong to, or if they belong to them in the first place."

Odd, this one looked like Europe, but the boundaries weren't quite right...

Someone who saw the Chocobos from their visions? Guess that means having memories about strange creatures isn't limited to him and Silver then. "If you like, I can send it you either by text or a photocopy I just printed in my bag."

He has to agree with her. Besides, he did have a vision of a structure similar to an Eifel Tower. "Still, most of these maps looked very different to each other. It's even to the point that it doesn't match the locations and islands at all."

Her eyes blurred a bit for a second, nodding quietly. "That... would be nice." She actually hadn't heard the offer that he'd made, her mind elsewhere. After a moment, she looked at the map and frowned. No, no it wasn't entirely right was it? But it had reminded her of something.

"Huh... I don't know why, but one of these reminded me of something for a moment." Her frown was pretty profound. "It's not on the map, though. Just some forgotten country involved in a civil war. But I can't remember ever hearing about it before. Like you said, they don't really 'match' anything. So, why would it make me remember a country I don't know exists?"

The frown deepened further. Was this a memory of the other Chloe? It hadn't exactly come in a flash like the others, hadn't been involved in ... no, it was definitely hers. She could remember headlines saying that a coup had been thwarted by assassination, remembered knowing 'Noir' was involved. Was she starting to remember things about the Europe of that other girl?

Remember? Guess that means Chloe got a new vision after she explained to him about a forgotten country and a civil war. "Maybe it has something to do with these different maps? It's as if they belonged to some different worlds..."

Speaking of a country she doesn't know about, he wonders if it would be a good time discussing his first vision after the launch of Retrospec. "Which makes me wonder about that tower from one of my visions..."

"Maybe... though I don't actually see what I'm remembering here," she said, shaking her head and looking a little confused. "Maybe it's like all the other moments where something comes to us, something triggered?"

Her head popped up and she looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "Tower? What sort of tower?"

"Something triggered, eh? Like when you see an item you've never seen before or any action you take that caused you to know anything at a first glance?"

He then takes out his journal from his back pocket and shows her the rough sketching of the said tower. "It's actually my first vision that appeared after Founder's Day. Judging by its appearance, it looks very similar to the Eifel Tower."

"Maybe something like that, yes. I don't know for sure. I still do not truly understand these things." Yep, that was a bit of a mournful, tired sigh she gave right there. She did, however, look down at the sketch and reached up to scratch her chin. "Hmmm, it is quite similar, though not the same. I have not seen one like it, but I wonder if it is perhaps a similar sort of thing? What was it? Did you go inside in the vision?"

"Not exactly. I can only see my vision self just stared at the tower as it lights up. Unfortunately, that's all I can remember from that vision."

And even to this day, he is still perplexed by it as he wonders what is the connection to all of his recent visions as well his Retrospec packages.

"Hmmm. I have a couple of mine that are the same way. A few glimpses of things, but infuriatingly little context." It drove her mad, because she wanted to know 'why' she was having those visions in particular, but they hadn't filled in the pieces yet, now had they?

"Some of it is disturbing, and some of it simply makes little sense, does it?"

She's right. Up until now, most of his visions are all about some strange creatures and despite he find some connections about them, he still unable to find any connections to himself and these visions.

"But other than some unrelated visions, I think the visions that most of us had might be related to a theme that seems to be related to each of us."

"Or a theme that is related to groups of us. Some of us seem to have hallucinations that are interrelated," she said, shaking her head. "So it may not be as simple as assuming each of us is separate, in the end. Still, you're right. There seems to be a theme, and the implication of having so many maps? It sort of feels like it might be related, even if it isn't."

A perfect red herring, or a clue that had yet to materialize.

Now that he thinks about it, thinking about this made him remember something from their previous discussion.

"Also, remember about my theory on these visions being our repressed memories? Maybe it has something to do with these maps for some reason."

"I remember a few people saying things like that...," she said with the tone of someone who definitely did not think of it that way. "The maps may be related. Anything in the Retrospec building might. It certainly does not require that they be repressed memories. I think anything involving that company could be related somehow."

"I agree. But I think that's not the only thing that is connected to that theory" He then stares at the maps with the pictures once more, which he starts to notice something during their conversation. "You said that someone saw the Chocobos in their hallucinations, right? Maybe these other changes in the city might be connected to the maps and how we got these strange visions."

She tapped her lips and then nodded. "That is certainly likely. My opinions aside, there may be changes around the city that tie into these. After all, if they can change such global things, why not small elements around the town?" She frowned and then shook her head. "Would be difficult to catalogue, though, no?"

"Small elements, as in some changes that only a few number of residents know about?"

Now that she mentions this, he did remember that the changes he's very familiar with including the strange flowers in the woods that almost lose his direction. Does that mean some of the residents aren't aware of other changes?

"Hmm... You may have a point there. I don't know if they report these small changes in Retrospec for a number of reasons."

"I would imagine that they do not in general. And keeping track of all the smaller changes borders on impossible. I know a few are trying, but it's been difficult to even know for sure if it is changed." She shook her head.

"Really, we don't know everything that happens in such a large town. How can we tally up all the small changes?"

Augustine then puts his hand over his chin as he thinks up some solutions to this problem. "Asking around in the app would help, though I doubt how many people would tell us any real small changes."

"I also think it is the sort of question that there is no harm in sharing on the app. Some things should not be inquired about there." She was pretty firm in the idea that they needed to make sure that some of what they found was never known by Jim until it was too late.

"I guess we should try to figure that out in a later date. The least we don't want to do is to get Retrospec's attention. But if I do find any small changes, I may list them down in my journal."
