[Sorey stifles a yawn as he pulls up to his mom's house again. He's already taken in a few boxes and placed them in the new and very empty living room, but the majority of his and Mikleo's stuff is still waiting to be loaded into the car. He glances around for Prompto but doesn't see him just yet, so instead he pops open the back of the wagon and sits inside with his legs hanging out.

Sorey's mom calls to him through the kitchen window, asking if he needs anything. He waves her off with a smile and checks his phone instead. Maybe something weird and new has popped up on that weird facebook-like app thing.

Maybe someone else remembers something that never happened to them.]

[He snorts quietly from behind the mattress as they tug it along.]

I got this mattress after high school, actually-- it's not that old.

[He swings his head to make sure his mother is out of earshot.]

I'm gonna miss my mom's cooking the most... That's the real tragedy.

[Unfortunately for him, Mikleo passes by at that exact moment.]

More like you're gonna miss your mom the most.

[Just casually calls Sorey out on that.]

[of course sorey would, but instead of laughing or poking further fun at mikleo, prompto smiles. it's when they reach the bottom of the stairs without further incident that he speaks up,]

It's nice to leave home knowing you can come back any time. Your mom will still cook for you, yeah?

[must be nice... prompto's happy when people he knows have good lives to come back to, at the end of the day]
