[closed] who needs a uhaul
WHO: Sorey, Mikleo, and Prompto
WHERE: Sorey's mom's place & Birch Hills
WHEN: Friday, 2/10
WHAT: Moving day!
WARNINGS: What happens when you put two Robbie Daymonds in the same place? You tell me.
[Sorey stifles a yawn as he pulls up to his mom's house again. He's already taken in a few boxes and placed them in the new and very empty living room, but the majority of his and Mikleo's stuff is still waiting to be loaded into the car. He glances around for Prompto but doesn't see him just yet, so instead he pops open the back of the wagon and sits inside with his legs hanging out.
Sorey's mom calls to him through the kitchen window, asking if he needs anything. He waves her off with a smile and checks his phone instead. Maybe something weird and new has popped up on that weird facebook-like app thing.
Maybe someone else remembers something that never happened to them.]

Hey~!
[chug-chug-chug goes his scooter, before he parks it carefully by some potted flowers and turns the engine off. as he removes his helmet and stands up, he continues speaking,]
Hope you weren't waiting long. How are you, dude?
no subject
Not too long. I take it you're Prompto?
[The name sounds somewhat like Latin, but he can't be sure.]
I'm Mikleo. It's nice to meet you.
no subject
Hey! Just got back, actually. Paperwork is the fourth circle of hell, apparently. [Things he learned today: leases require a lot of paperwork. He grins at his friends, excited if not a little tired.]
Prompto, this is Mikleo. Your stomach is in good hands. ... That sounds a little disturbing, actually. You know what I mean!
SORRY FOR BEING A FOOL I GOT SWAMPED
[he gets it. and at his introduction to mikleo, he snorts and grins, offering his hand to the other]
The pleasure's mine! And as long as I'm fed, you can do whatever you like with my stomach.
[going along with this little joke]
How do you guys wanna do this?
NAW YOU GOOD
[Mikleo looks amused, at least. He shakes Prompto's hand.]
I'm not a med student, so I think your stomach is safe.
[He takes a look at the boxes, brushing hair out of his eyes.]
We can load up Sorey's car with the bigger boxes and the mattresses. Since those need two people, you can ride with him to take them to the apartment. I'll handle loading mother's Priuss with some boxes and make sure nobody tries to steal anything.
[Mikleo glances at Sorey and Prompto.]
Does that work?
no subject
Sounds good. Once the heavier stuff is out of the way, things will be a lot easier.
[He dusts his hands on his jeans.] Aside from the mattress, all of my boxes are sitting in the living room. Let's get those in first-- my mom wants them gone.
no subject
Alright! Let's go, let's go~ Getting boxes ou~t of the way♪
[at least he's enthusiastic about it! he pockets his keys and skips up the steps into the front door, leaning in a bit but not wanting to step in first without the express permission of either of the two--or at least without following after one of them]
no subject
Go on in! And if you get thirsty, there's lemonade and water in the fridge you can help yourself to.
[And now he'll turn to his best friend.]
Let's get the mattresses and see if we can get both of them into your car. If there's enough room, the bed frames can go in with them.
no subject
[he'll help himself inside then, going straight for the lemonade before he gets started, as you do]
[you lovebirds do u, don't mind the prompto]
no subject
The bed frames should fit. I can pop open the back window and have them stick out through there.
[Sometimes he wishes he had a truck, but honestly, he doesn't do a lot of hauling. Maybe once his arch career kicks off he'll get something that can do offroading easily.
He heads to his room, where nothing remains except a mattress set and a few pieces of a bed frame. He goes for the mattress first. He's a decently-sized guy, so he just latches right onto the handles and grabs the thing without much trouble.]
no subject
Y'need help with this?
[taking a bite from the toast]
no subject
I got it!
[... Then the mattress starts to tip over.]
... Don't got it!
no subject
Dwude, I sought you shaid you got thiz. Y'kay?
[okay, talking with toast in mouth is not the coolest]
no subject
Is everything okay up there?
no subject
[we totally got this dude]
no subject
Thanks.
[Oh, Mikleo's--]
Uh, we got it! We'll be out in a sec!
no subject
[He sounds unconvinced, but he'll head into the kitchen to figure out lunch for later.]
no subject
[toast crumbs all over, but minus one bread in his mouth, prompto slaps his hands together]
Wanna try again?
no subject
[He renews his hold on the mattress handle, while his other hand steadies the broad side.]
no subject
You're really moving everything, huh? No new mattress or anything? Say good bye to your childhood room, full of memories and dreams~!
[prompto, it's not that dramatic]
no subject
I got this mattress after high school, actually-- it's not that old.
[He swings his head to make sure his mother is out of earshot.]
I'm gonna miss my mom's cooking the most... That's the real tragedy.
no subject
More like you're gonna miss your mom the most.
[Just casually calls Sorey out on that.]
no subject
It's nice to leave home knowing you can come back any time. Your mom will still cook for you, yeah?
[must be nice... prompto's happy when people he knows have good lives to come back to, at the end of the day]
