[ After an awkward misfire involving sassy K-pop choreographies and Anya making Yuuri cry with her Anya-ness, it was agreed that Yuuri would teach her that dance and... let's be real, probably other choreographies. Thus, Yuuri arranged for them to have regularly scheduled practice sessions (probably at a time when barely anyone is left at the studio [and especially while Yuri isn't around]).

Since he has already memorized all the steps like the huge nerd he is, he's dancing next to Anya so she can follow along by looking at the mirror in front of them, though every now and then he'll stop dancing himself to correct her posture a bit or to highlight certain parts of the song.

Eventually, he falls behind a bit to watch her closely for a bit. ]

Ahh... it really looks so much better when you're the one dancing to it.

[Anya's a willing student.

She's taken all of her lessons that much more seriously since she had her revelation of wanting to be an idol. She went from attending classes most days of the week to attending them all days of the week, plus workshops and additional lessons just like this. Yuuri's a good instructor for her - encouraging even as he points out areas that she can improve. As she finishes the sequence as instructed, frozen in the ending pose - she lets herself switch out of performing mode to give him a far more genuine smile.]

[ Anya's efforts and focus haven't gone unnoticed by Yuuri and he's been more than happy to help in any areas he can—not just because he likes her and he cares, but also because he can really see potential in her and has become very invested in helping her realize it.

(Let's keep not talking about how hypocritical that is of him, that's another story.) ]
