ONE

On a particular bench in Recolle Square, Souji sits down to enjoy the world, but something's off about him today. Just... something. Perhaps it's the the silver hair and the silver eyes as yes, those stand out, but wait.... what are thooooose!!

Thick old man frames. Suspenders. Corduroy pants. Bowtie. Wooden cane. Wrinkles drawn on. Eyes squinting. Mouth smacking. A bag of bird seed.

"Ahh... the days of my youth... like the scent of fresh lemons, you see."

Oh no... he's been transformed into an old man... come help him, you whippersnapper. (Yes, he's talking to you! About his fresh lemons and all...)

TWO

Okay, so Souji's out of his old man costume now but he still has the silver hair and eyes. Unfortunately, it looks like those were real and part of his physical appearance regains. Yay... Oh joy... But Souji's not going to let it get him down. In fact, he has some free time and a sense of humour to spare, so he walks around, with a cardboard sign hanging around his neck that reads:

'25¢ for a day's worth of jokes'

... Go for it?

THREE

Souji has been wary about posting and talking about Retrospec and any information about them over the network. Of course, announcing that he's going to be at a specific location to discuss the company over the network isn't any better, but there's not too much he could do about that, especially when the app is on every possible electronic device. He'll probably figure out a better way at asking people to share info with him, but for now, looks like this is the way to go.

He sticks out like a sore thumb, with his new silver hair, but he just patiently waits, sitting on the edge of the fountain. When someone does approach, he gets up and raises his hand in a wave.

"Thanks for dropping by."

Anything is game! When Souji is not doing anything of the above, he's just wandering around the city, probably feeding strays or something. Come and bother him!

Well, he guessed it could have been worse. Like she said, silver hair wasn't unattractive, so maybe he should have just grateful that it didn't turn pure white or something.

"Yeah. I woke up this morning like this." He certainly didn't have any of this last night. "My twin brother's eyes changed colours two weeks ago, but his hair colour is the same. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it's strange."

"It is very strange, but if your appearance is changing on that sort of scale, I suspect it probably is related," she said, shaking her head firmly. "Perhaps your eyes and hair will change to match each other's soon enough, though for now this makes the guessing game a little too easy, does it not?"

She sighed. "Forgive the poor joke. A little humor seems wise right now. You are not the only one whose hair has changed. I am sure it was a little ... disconcerting this morning. Are you alright, otherwise?"

Souji gave a weak chuckle and shook his head. "No, that's all right. I appreciate the humour. Takes the edge off just a bit." Hence why he made that network post, trying to joke around the entire situation rather than panic and make a huge stink about it. He resumed his serious demeanour right afterwards though.

"Yes, I'm feeling fine overall. I certainly don't feel sick or that I'm not in my own body, so everything seems all right there." It wasn't like one of those fantasy novels where he woke up in another person's body or that he was going through some painful transformations, so that was at least something. "Thank you for asking. If you don't mind me asking, did you experience anything before your appearance changed? Anything to indicate something was going to happen?"

She reached up and scratched the back of her head. There was a bit of embarrassment there when she spoke, considering the situation. "Well, Souji, honestly, no. I was drunk on Mardi Gras, so I thought I had dyed my hair on a lark. I only realized something was wrong over a month later." A shake of her head and a bit of a laugh. "When I didn't show any roots, I knew that something was wrong. My hair would blend well with it, but there was none of my original color at all. So, it took a while for me to notice."

Souji... didn't know what to say at first, but eventually, he couldn't help but let out a few chuckles. "That makes sense. I wouldn't have figured it out either for a while if I also thought I dyed it." He then coughed, regaining his composure. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have laughed. That wasn't polite of me." But really, who couldn't laugh at a story like that?

She laughed as well, lightly. "It is something to laugh at, Souji. Do not be concerned. I simply can't tell everyone the story." You know, cause admitting you drank underrage to cops... or Naoto... not so smart of an idea. "But as you say, it definitely makes sense not to have known at first, no? I couldn't say whether or it would have been different had I been a bit more aware. Others have noticed immediately, after all."
