[ open to anyone who enjoys gossip ]
WHO: Viktor, Yuuri, anybody else who wants to eavesdrop or threadcrash and make them suffer
WHERE: Dance!!! Studio
WHEN: 4/10, around noon
WHAT: Catching up and opening some ~mysterious~ packages from Retrospec
WARNINGS: Nope
[ Yuuri's life the past few weeks has been an unending roller-coaster of emotions; both because of Retrospec and his own poor choices. Still, he continues trying his best to ignore the occasional, bizarre "visions" about his alternate life because he doesn't understand them and thinking about all of it only makes him feel more on edge.
Which is why, he takes every opportunity he can to keep himself busy and focused on other things, no matter how silly or inane the task may be. Case in point: Today he volunteered to sit at the reception desk because the studio's receptionist had a few errands to run and he had the time to spare. ]

Yeah, but I'm covering for Alex, she had some errands to run.
no subject
Ah, right. She did say something like that. I didn't know you'd be the one filling in for her, though...
no subject
[ And he does this often enough that he's pretty comfortable with it. ]
no subject
I see. Well, now I'm glad I came downstairs. It feels like we haven't spoken in over a month!
no subject
You've been busy, it's okay. Plus, it's not like we don't see each other at work all the time, anyway.
no subject
Mm. But I'm not talking about work.
no subject
Honestly, even work is a bit of a difficult topic for him right now. ]
Oh...
no subject
Maybe I should, though. We have a new client.
no subject
[ Yuuri isn't subtle in his tone or body language, rapidly latching onto this line of conversation. ]
no subject
The Recollé Police Department.
no subject
Seriously?
[ On second thought, this may not be the best time or place to have this conversation... ]
no subject
More or less. One of the detectives who work there is hiring us to help investigate Retrospec.
no subject
[ Yuuri pulls away at that, but for once it isn't because Viktor's invasion of his personal space is getting overbearing. ]
You got a couple of packages from them. [ He pulls open one of the desk's drawers and fishes out a couple of small cardboard boxes. The top one is most certainly addressed to Viktor Nikiforov, the bottom one isn't, but Yuuri hasn't bothered to check that. ]
no subject
Last time I got one, it was actually for Yura. Did you get one of those too? A cat plush?
no subject
Eh? You too?
[ His "perfectly logical" explanation for it, at the time, had been the fact that for all practical purposes he shared a name with Yuri, so the adorable kitty had been mistakenly shipped to him instead.
He still hadn't returned it to the right owner, though... it felt weird to do it at first (especially after the memory that came with it) and then they'd ended up fighting, so things were a little too tense to also bring cat plushies into the mess. ]
no subject
[ More like threw it at him angrily, but that shouldn't be relevant, so he's not saying it. ]
Apparently, the plushies were sent by his fan club.
no subject
[ Not in this reality. At least not that he remembers. ]
no subject
Still, the Retrospec version is that he had another one, Yuri's Angels. They wore cat ears and stalked him during competitions.
[ Viktor leaves the package with his name on the desk and takes the other one to inspect it as well. ]
no subject
That is, until Viktor reaches the part of his sentence that talks about competitions. ]
Competitions?
no subject
[ He hands Yuuri the package. ]
This is for you, by the way.
no subject
... More or less? What I saw were the plushies and other gifts being given to—wait, what?
[ Stares down at the package. It is, as a matter of fact, addressed to him but... why? And why would they have sent it here? ]
What in the world...?
no subject
[ Viktor raises his own package almost triumphantly. ]
I have no idea. But don't they look like a matching set?
no subject
[ Please hold, Viktor, Yuuri appears to be having a staring contest with his package (which is a terrible idea, considering cardboard boxes don't have eyes in the first place). ]
no subject
Should we open them at the same time?
[ Viktor, you're having way too much fun with this. ]
no subject
I don't want to open it.
