WHAT: Derek gets a surprise on his arm.
WARNINGS:Derek in some physical pain, seeing the Dark Mark glow in the sky (skull with a snake coming out of its mouth.)

I. Getting the Mark [Closed to Tatsuo]
Derek was taking a jog in the early morning before work. He had a lot of things on his mind due to the Retrospec post a few days ago and what that could mean for him. As he was nearing his apartment building he feels a sudden burning pain on his arm.

"Ow... ow, ow, ow..."

Derek grabs his left arm because of the pain, but then quickly pulls his hand away, as if he had suddenly got burned. Actually, yeah, he did burn his hand.He stares at his right hand for a second, before being distracted by the burning in his left arm. His eyes turn back to his arm and his eyes widen. Is that.. a skull? Derek remembers Draco showing Dumbledore the tattoo... was it this painful for when Draco got it? The burning sensation grows stronger and Derek falls his knees and tries to keep breathing evenly as he tries to fight through the pain.

II. Forever Marked [Open to all]

This is not how he planned to spend his morning. Hunched over on a bench, Derek his holding his left arm. His breathing is a big heavy and his is trying not to panic over the fact he can't move his arm. So he sits there, starting at his arm and not sure what to do. He thinks he'll get movement back... but when. It is during this staring at his arm that he notices his pale skin glowing green. Green? It's a light coming from above him. Derek looks up and sees something he didn't expect to see. The Dark Mark in the sky. How did that get there? Did him getting it on his skin cause it? Because he knows he didn't say the spell for that to appear. He wonders how long that is going to be in the sky above him. People are going to notice and it is creepy as hell.

Tatsuo is on his way back to his apartment after completing his morning workout at the gym, when he spots someone hunched over on the sidewalk. Someone who looks a great deal like Derek. Pulling over, he parks his motorcycle and cautiously approaches (because just because the dude looks like Derek and isn't far from their apartment complex, that doesn't mean it IS Derek).

"Hey, are you alright?"

[Derek looks up at Tatsuo. It will be clear to Tatsuo that Derek is a lot of pain. Derek extends his arms out for Tatsuo to see the tattoo forming on his arm.]

Not really...

[His voice comes out pained and strained.]

It feels like it's being burned in...

What the hell is that?

[Tatsuo crouches down next to Derek to look more closely at his arm and this freaky looking tattoo.]

Why would it burn you?

It's...

[Derek lets out a hiss from the pain.]

It's the Dark Mark. It's Voldemort's symbol. Wizards get this when they joined his side. Draco has one.

[Derek's grip tightens on his arm.]

And hell if I know why it burns.

How delightful.

[Tatsuo grips Derek's elbow so he can leverage his friend to his feet]

Come on. Let's get you back to your place.

[Derek tries to stand up, he really does, but then there is a another shock of stinging pain and he bends over and lets out a groan. He drops to his knees from the pain.]

Bloody hell, I bet normal tattoos don't hurt this much.

[okay, so not going anywhere until this passes... hopefully it passes?]

As far as I know, normal tattoos don't leave people curled up on the side of the road. So no.

[If only your words were of any comfort Tatsuo...]

[As the tattoo continues to form a green glow starts to form overhead. Derek looks up and sees... oh great... the Dark Mark in the sky in all it's big green glory.]

Normally that isn't a good thing...

[Tatsuo follows Derek's gaze upward until he sees the large green glowing skull in the sky. With a snake coming out of its mouth.]

Did your tattoo just project itself into the sky?
