[OPEN] d o g g o s
WHO: Jen, her dog Zwei, and onlookers
WHERE: Around the town, in the parks
WHEN: After returning to the real world, before the October event
WHAT: Just a girl jogging with her dog (pretty simple! tag in however, or lmk and I'll write you a custom starter)
WARNINGS: Corgis have been shown to be difficult to resist, proceed with cuteness. I mean caution.
[ things have finally calmed down enough that Jen resumed her typical daily fitness routines. that included the morning and afternoon jogs in the park with her dog Zwei hot on her heels. during both trips she'll be dressed for the gym and carrying a small bag for her water bottle, towel, and so on. sometimes she'll have some bruises on her arm and legs and then in the same day they'll be gone. weird!
of course when she's not on her way to or from somewhere, she'll store her items on her motorcycle and just have a leisurely run through the nearest park, throwing a stick or a ball for her corgi companion to fetch. it may just land close to someone, or Zwei has chosen to investigate someone entirely new who was looking his way - or not. he has a mind of his own after all, which leaves Jen chasing after him to go over and say hi and apologize to whoever it was he was apparently bothering. ]

[Speaking from experience...]

[Crossing her arms.]
But... good work, I'm glad you didn't get seriously hurt and at least now we know your Aura is working. Maybe we can practice a bit with that too?
no subject
Jen nodded. ] Yeah, sure. That was the idea in the end. We just need to find somewhere private enough where there's plenty of space to move, too. Bigger than a wrestling ring for sure. [ like an empty warehouse or something comes to her mind. ]
no subject
I... may have a place that we can use. It's not exactly at warehouse, but it should be fine so long as we don't get too crazy.
no subject
[ bork! ] And hey, Zwei can come along too. He's really good with fetching towels.
no subject
[She bends down to give Zwei a little boop on the nose and a scratch behind the ears.]
Just... [She looks back up at Jen.] Don't think you have to "start slow" or something because of me. I don't know much about that other Vera, but I can assure you that I'm more than capable of taking care of myself.
no subject
[ ahem. ] I'm not doubting you. I'm just saying that for the sake of not wrecking the place - like I know we're capable of - we should ease into what we're capable of, together. I've seen what we can do.
no subject
Alright, just... making sure. Enough people underestimate me as it is, besides if you hold back we'll never be able to get in sync.
[Exhale.] Even though we basically need to be reintroduced to each other.
no subject
Still. No need to rush headlong into that, either. It's been. A month. We can take that slow, too. [ a beat. ] Hey. Do you still like that one cafe? [ Jen gave up the name and address, and what Vera ordered that one time she introduced her to it. ] We could just chat a bit over lunch - or brunch. I don't actually know what time it is. I've just been running all morning.
no subject
[And she'll just reach into inside pocket of her jacket for her phone.]
It's getting on noon now, so brunch sounds perfect. I think we both could use a mimosa about now.

[She's soon to follow, standing up and brushing herself off.]
N-not that there's anything wrong with that, I just... didn't expect that, I guess.
no subject
I just don't have the taste for alcohol. [ Zwei hops off the bench and runs a couple of circles around the pair of them, eager to go... wherever the humans are clearly going. ]
no subject
[The subject kind of seems to make Jen uncomfortable, probably best not to delve into the subject now.]
Should we drive, or would you rather walk? My car's parked nearby.

[It's a short walk before they get to the parking lot, where Vera's sports car awaits.]
You... won't mind carrying him, will you? [She gestures at Zwei.]
Leather seats, you know.
no subject
[ she's more than a little sweaty herself, after all, but she can keep Zwei in her lap without any further complaints. ]
no subject
[Sweat can be wiped clean, claw marks not so much.
But she won't dwell on it. Settling in, she buckles up and starts the engine, pulling out of the lot and heading down the street.]
