[Nanashi standing outside with a huge bucket of water. If anyone gets closer to him he'll drench you in it without a second thought. He doesn't even seem remotely apologetic for it either.]

It's just a little water. Chill out.

[He shrugs and makes it seem like it's not a big deal. Summer's over and he wants to have some fun. Join him in a water fight!!!! ]


Are you gonna report me ? Please don't. I just got out of prison..I'm tired damn it.

[Later in the day he encounters a little problem. One of his demons went missing and he can't seem to track it anywhere. Yikes. Nanashi looks really concerned because it could mean trouble. He just kinda shouts outside asking for help to anyone who may be available. In a loud voice he yells:]

There's a demon on the loose! If you help me find it I'll give you lunch for two months!!!

[Does this even sound like a good deal? Probably not, but hey.]

Wild card.

[Who is this weirdo shouting weird things in a weird place? Demons? Those aren't supposed to be a normal thing, yet somehow none of the apped citizens bat an eye... Guess its normal here now. Demons do sound really cool, but Suzu has studying to do, so it's probably easier just to ignore the voice and keep walking. Just mind your own business and go to the library. Just---

Did he just say he'll buy lunch for two months? As soon as those words hit Suzu's ears, in an instant she makes a sharp about face and makes a mad dash towards the source of the voice. Hold on, give her a moment, compared to her brother, her stamina sucks. She leans against a conveniently-placed wall, trying to catch her breath. WHEEZE]

What does... the demon... look like...?

Kinda looks like a snowman ? [Nanashi scratches the side of his cheek for a bit.]

It's small so keep your eyes open! You'd think a snowman standing in the middle of September would stick out...

I'm having trouble looking. Please help me.

[He folds his hands together and practically begs Suzu.]

[Suzu squints her mismatched eyes skeptically at Nanashi. Wait... is this a kid? She was excited about not having to pay for food for two months, and all the money that can be saved as her budget took a mysterious dive... but there's no way she could take compensation from some kid. A demon-taming kid, apparently, but still.

But, she's here and she can't back out now. She glances to the side thoughtfully. A snowman...]

So... round... and white? [Sounds... cute... Suzu does kind of want to see it.] Do you... have any idea where it could've gone?

I think he went to the park? He mentioned going out somewhere to play.

[So normally people would think that he'd be someplace fun. This is a demon though so HM.]

Stupid demon. I'm going to roast that guy when I find him.

[SUZU IS HIS ONLY ALLY...the demons are traitors. ]

II, it's before 9 pm so he's still AU'd

[Yes, Shinji assumes it's Nanashi's demon rather than a random demon he just saw. Is he wrong?]

They're little shits. They never listen to me.

[He lets out a deep sigh.]

That's how I lost it. Wait. Are you Shinji? What the fuck is this?

[HAHAHA SHINJI LOOKS SO OLD. ]

[ Ah, and he just lit this cigarette... Well. Fine. He's had worse things happen to him. Kiyoshi shakes his head like a wet dog, to get some water out of his hair and his furry ears. ]

Nnn, I'm not gonna report you. Anyway, I don't think you'd be thrown in prison for throwing water on people. [ He stuffs the ruined cigarette in a pocket and then pulls off his scarf to wring water out of it. ] Why are you throwing water at people though?

Summer vacation's over and I didn't do anything fun. Sucks that I spent most of it in solitary confinement.

[Kiyoshi's a good guy. Thank you for not reporting him. Nanashi puts down his bucket of water and straightens himself up.]

What about you? Did you do something enjoyable?

Well... Solitary confinement can't be classified as something fun after all.

[ It's something but that's a whole different thing. ]

I got to sleep a lot during summer vacation, does that count?

That totally counts. Uninterrupted sleep is the fucking best.

[He sounds happy to hear that Gon got to rest up. There's too much bad things going on lately. At least the guy in front of him was able to catch a break. ]

[no, she's not gonna report him—she did miss the little asshole, after all. she's also got her patchy letter jacket and jeans on, she's devoid of glasses, and right, of course, she did just say the f-word. and now she's soaked and looks pretty pissed off about it while she silently hopes her phone isn't busted to shit.]

[She swore!! This is the Anna he knows. He runs up to her and gives her a giant hug. ]

[yeah, this is fucking ridiculous. but she can't help but feel a little warmth in her heart about it. especially because of everything else that she's still taking a lot of time to process and hasn't totally sorted out yet. Retrospec is wild sometimes.]

[ calmly, Leon notes how soaked he is now with all the water dumped on him. it makes his sorcerer's suit squeak a little, given the nature of its leather-like material, and he quietly looks at the ground in a little bit of confusion before saying anything. ]

[ Bakhura glances at Nanashi, his ears perking up at the word "demon" as he grins. Free extravagant lunches for two months, here he comes. ]

A demon, you say...? What a coincidence. That just so happens to be my area of expertise. Have you tried attracting it back to you with a ouija board or a seance?

[ Of course, those options will also attract all sorts of other and possibly dangerous demons, but as long as it brings the one Nanashi is looking for, that's all that matters, right?? ]

[Bakura is the hero no one deserves. Nanashi shoots him a thumbs up in appreciation.]

I haven't tried using an Ouija board.

Isn't that used for communicating with the dead? Where are you gonna get something like that?

[ He grimaces at the thought of a serious supernatural object being so readily accessible to the public, but abstains from launching into a rant about the dangers of meddling with the spiritual realm, especially since this young man seems to be familiar enough with demons already. ]

Fortunately for you, however, there just so happens to be one in my home that I'm willing to lend to your cause for free... provided you keep up your end of the bargain, of course. What are the conditions of these lunches you're offering, if any?

II. [The bgm is slowly grating on Nanashi. He's got a big frown on his face. Where the heck is it coming from? Is there no off button?]

Ren!!!! Are you hearing this? That stupid song has been playing for HOURS. I'm going to kill whoever's playing it on loop.

[No child, don't end up back in prison. You don't need more jail time.]

It's like we're in a video game...only worse. Do you have any ear plugs?

[ Oh, it's his zombie friend. Akira turns to him and tilts his head, then looks up and hears the music. Well, it was always there, but: ]

Yeah, though I only remembered when you mentioned it again.

[Wait, Akira? He got his memories back? That's good news! Nanashi slams into Akira for the worlds most awkward hug. Someone got a little too excited about that. ]

[Which sounds weird to say in context because technically he didn't change all that much. ]
