[OPEN] But Your Honor I Googled It Twice
WHO: Matt Murdock/Daredevil and anyone visiting
WHERE: Matt's dreamscape
WHEN: Late August
WHAT: Exploring the psyche of Catholic Guilt Man should be fun right?
WARNINGS: Threads will be labeled accordingly
[ Visitors to this dreamscape find themselves in the pitch dark. Despite the lack of light visitors are able to make out where their own bodies are without trouble as if they're the only thing light can catch in this place. Somehow they will also know instinctually that a certain number of paces one way or another they'll find a couple of doors, like how they know the layout of their own home with their eyes closed. The doors are the same except for the sign in braille next to each one. Pick a door!]
Door One, Memories from Canon
[ Behind door one explorers are greeted by the familiar sound of busy city streets and a cool breeze against their face. Stepping out into the scene they find themselves on a rooftop at night. Out in the distance, something seems to be visible for a second, like a flash of a photograph passing in their mind. It's the Empire State Building. Welcome to NYC. Slowly the surroundings start to fill in, not in detail, but in vague ghosts of shapes and edges that disappear when directly looked at.
There's a sound there on the roof, footsteps approaching.
ooc: Choose your guest. Alien, Ally, Criminal, Friend, or Teacher. Or request a specific memory. TW may apply.]
Door Two, A clash of current lifetimes
[ The second door opens on a courtroom that will fill in with detail for those who have been to the Recolle Courthouse, for those who haven't the setting remains dark or shifts and turns into a courtroom they saw on a television show or movie. Matt Murdock at least is easy to spot sitting at a table beyond the murmurs and coughs of people watching from the rows of seats in the back. A man's voice rings out from the judge's bench.]
We shall now proceed with the hearing. Defense, please call your next witness!
[ Matt rises from his seat to do so and pauses just short of speaking. He tilts his head, turning with a jerk toward the visitor who just entered. His eyebrows raise in surprise, mouth falling open, then the judge urges him. ]
Mr. Murdock?
Yes, Your Honor, sorry. The defense calls...
[ ooc: Congrats, your character is now a witness in the case of AU1 v AU2. They don't know Matt? Not a problem, they know Retropsec and their own confusion, right? The judge and jury could use some perspective on this delimma... ]
[ ooc: Question? Poke me.

Ms. Geteilt is a witness to the actions of Retrospec, being a member of the network herself. She is also aware of the Defense's career in law.
Uh... Please take the stand and be sworn in.

[She's clearly confused by what's going on, but at least when she passes by Matt, she knows she's not alone in that. Even if this is some kind of dream, it's still a little more reassuring. So she takes the stand and holds up her hand, swearing to tell only the truth and all that. Of course, even with such a heavy oath, she sounds about as respectful and serious as she always does.
Which is not at all.]
