[OPEN] Prick your fingers, it is done, the moon has now eclipsed the sun
WHO: Albert Wesker (eventually) and whomever decides to join him (presumably you!)
WHERE: Dreamscapes.
WHEN: Slightly backdated to 8/24.
WHAT: Dreamdiving.
WARNINGS: Medical experimentation, brainwashing, child abuse, violence, body horror, depictions of self-harm, a general blanket warning that Wesker has been through Some Shit and as such this is probably going to suck on several levels.
[It's cold.
It isn't the familiar drop in temperature that might come from the weather, but a sterile, artificial chill, the sort associated with medical work - hospitals and laboratories and other places that bring with them a sharp, chemical smell and an unpleasant sense that you don't really want to be there.
Of course, the metal table against your back probably isn't doing much to keep you warm, either.
Trying to sit up will be a bit of a problem, given the heavy restraints locked around your wrists and ankles, your hips and your upper body; they're a combination of metal and leather, old-fashioned and imposing, clearly designed to restrain something very, very powerful, and they're keeping you from going very far. You can look around enough to tell that where you are is...probably not somewhere you want to stay for long - it is, in fact, a laboratory of some sort, full of instruments and vials and jars of things that don't look very nice, the metal walls giving way somewhere just on the edges of your line of sight, turning into something else - a sort of open entrance to what looks like a cave of some sort. Either way, it'll probably take you somewhere that isn't here if you follow it. Tipping your head back will show another potential exit to the area - a metal door in the wall near all the instruments and materials.
Of course, you can't really utilize either route if you're bound down, now, can you? You should probably work on figuring out what you're going to do about that, first.]

[He reaches up to rest a hand against the side of Wesker's face.]
How do you want me to do this? I can shoot it...? I think that would break it, probably.
no subject
Yes.]

He pulls away slowly, then backs up so he has enough room to transform his weapon into the crossbow form again. The rifle is certainly stronger, but its shots are energy-based and he's honestly not sure how that would effect Wesker. He should be able to heal from it, but what if he can't? So the best option is the crossbow.
He's got enough space to aim and fire, and he brings the weapon up, but... he hesitates.]
...It'll be okay. I promise, it'll be okay.
[He can't afford to hesitate any longer, if Wesker loses control—
He's not going to let it happen, so instead he aims and fires.]

When the shot hits the device it's surprisingly quiet; there's no real percussive force behind it, no small blast that implies that something volatile has been destroyed. The thing simply breaks, the translucent red covering cracking before shards of fiberglass and expoxy slide out of the casing and clatter to the floor, exposing the inner mechanisms of the device itself - the pump, the vials, everything keeping it in functioning order suddenly grinding to a halt with damage.
The shot likely isn't enough to hurt him - there was surely the feeling of being hit in the chest by something, and there's likely a lot of pressure there that isn't pleasant, but it's not nearly enough to kill; even so, he folds in on himself almost immediately again, his hands finding the casing once more - he's shaking badly, the tremors overtaking him almost immediately, and he doesn't seem able to make himself straighten up again immediately.
Give him a moment.]

[He drops the weapon and rushes forward immediately, reaching out to touch Wesker's arm.]
Are you okay? I didn't hurt you too badly, did I? Oh, Albert...
no subject
...You know it's going to take more than that.
[He isn't looking at Jaeger, but he sounds much clearer already - less absent, more able to focus on what's happening.]
I'm all right, Jaeger.

I'm glad. I'm so glad, Albert...
no subject
It's Wesker's heart stone.]
...It was good of you to let me hold onto that.
no subject
Of course. I wanted to be sure you would believe me. I didn't know if you remembered, but this is the most precious thing I own and I would never dream of leaving it behind. I was certain you would believe that, even if you couldn't remember at the moment.

[...]
We should go, shouldn't we.

[He's not moving, though.]
Are you going to be okay?

[He has no doubt that he's going to have to discuss this with Jaeger eventually. But for now...well. He'll let you wake up.]
