Hunt for Zee! [Closed]
WHO: Togusa and Tatsuo (and Hikari!)
WHERE: Pesgare
WHEN: 8/23, before Togusa falls into a dream state.
WHAT: Looking for Zee, but not finding a trace of him. Instead, family bonding.
WARNINGS: None
Togusa got Hikari up and out the door early, so they could all catch the ferry to Pesgare. On the surface, this just looks like a family outing. Both Togusa and Hikari have backpacks full of things, and Hikari is pointing towards everything that she wants her father to see. Togusa has wanted to bring Hikari to see the pleasant village, anyway.
But this is supposed to be an almost-stakeout. A hunt for someone who has vanished off the platform. It's not professional, because this isn't official Police business, but maybe they need to move a little faster than a six year-old will allow?
Togusa admits to Tatsuo, in hushed tones, that Hikari is also along as insurance. A reminder to both him and Zee to not do anything stupid, in case they do run into each other. In Togusa's mind, he's here to find- what? A friend? Almost? Whatever category he lumps Zee into is complicated. At the very least, it's someone else he's sworn to protect. Who is in trouble.
So they make it to Pesgare and step off the boat. The water level is far lower than it should be, like it's in reaction to the flooding Pesgare had previously experienced. Although the village is still friendly, there is an overtone of hushed worry if everything will be all right.

Tatsuo nods. It's a good approach. The waterfront is quite nice to look at, which will please Hikari. And meandering along will give them opportunity to talk to people.
"Sounds good to me."
As they step off the pier, Tatsuo turns along the walkway that winds along the shore.
