( closed ) switch! a rude awakening

WHEN: 8/8, around the same time as kazuki's network post
WHAT: sena wakes up in his brother's body after disappearing from the app for two weeks, and he's going to react as such.
WARNINGS: language, ofc

[ the latter part of july went by like a blur in sena's perspective, and it was... strange, but in a good way. it was a lot better, in fact. no one had batted an eye at the agency when he woke up with his old dark hair one day, he's been sleeping more peacefully every night ever since - that's the way it should be, right? no stress, no more hassles, no more mind-numbing unreality bullshit, it's just going to be him and the modeling world and he is not going to let anything else get in between of his budding career...

but the fact that he's looking at a different ceiling upon waking up one morning is a sign that things will all go downhill for him again. sena's used to waking up without the use of an alarm anyway like the cursed morning person that he is, but he lifts his back off the bed and rubs his eyes, staring blearily at...

uh.

this room doesn't resemble a pigsty at the very least, but sena doesn't recall sleeping in some stranger's bed last night? he took the early night off yesterday and slept normally just like that, so how did he end up in someone's bed? and judging from the time it seems that he overslept too?! hurriedly getting out of bed (and knocking off that giant dog plushie to the floor in the process), he makes his way towards a mirror on the wall, only for a pair of golden eyes to stare right back at him.

gold eyes. silver hair. sena lifts his left hand and wiggles his fingers, and his reflection does the same thing. he stares bug-eyed at the mirror, the memories of mind-numbing retrospec bullshit now flooding back into his mind, culminating with the realization that he's come back to the app in someone's body, namely his brother.

don't mind him, he's just going to scream the whole house awake with that iconic onoyu voice, if the others are still snoozing in. good morning recolle and all who inhabit it. ]

Perfect, thanks. I'll just take a shower and -- [ pause. ] Yeah, uh, Elliot. One more favor? Yusuke is fair game, but could you try not tell Ren about... you know. [ vague hand gestures ] Us? [ he'll probably find out soon anyway, depending on how chatty kazuki is in his body, but sena'd rather not face the music till then. seriously, the last thing sena wants is to be called a brocon by the guy again. ]

Huh? [he looks confused] Not tell Ren? So you want me to...pretend you haven't switched?

Yeah. It's a long story, but I don't want him to get any weird ideas from this. I'll tell him when the time comes, assuming that he hasn't found out till then. Besides, I have total faith in my acting skills. Aside from that little blunder, you really thought I was Kaz, didn't you? [ right?????????? ]

Uh...Well I don't get it, but alright. I'll keep quiet. [..........] Aha....I'll get started on breakfast. [In other words, he's not commenting!!! And sure is heading out to go downstairs and make breakfast]

[ DON'T JUST LEAVE HIM HANGING, ELLIOT??? so rude... he appreciates the privacy though and will now try scouring kaz's wardrobe for anything that's suitable for him to wear. it isn't like kazuki's a bad dresser, sena's just that picky. okay, there. now to go downstairs for breakfast and mm, what's that smell? ] What're you making there? ♪

[LOOK IT FELT LIKE THE SAFEST PATH. But Elliot sure is down in the kitchen whipping up a batch of omelettes. They won't glow like his enchanted ones do, since he'd need his own body for that, but they still are smiling and looking divine] Haha, just some omelettes.

Whoa, they look pretty good already. [ despite the lack of sparkle in them... weird. but maybe elliot can subconsciously control these things, who knows. just gonna grab a plate and some utensils before pulling up a chair to wait in anticipation; it's been so long since he'd eaten something... normal since he'd taken up modeling, so he'll let himself indulge just this once, hoho. and it's elliot's cooking so it HAS to be good, right? ]

Haha, thanks! I hope you like them. [he gives a very Elliot smile (which probably looks weird on Souji's face), and gets to finishing up cooking. He'll place it on Sena's plate and...it honestly looks like it's straight out of a restaurant or a cooking book. You could make money selling one of these omelettes. And lucky for Sena, his roommates have made it VERY CLEAR he's not allowed to add any weird ingredients to food he cooks for guests. So while it's a plain omelette (because no chances can be taken), it's still incredible] Here you go!

Thanks, I'm starving. [ whoa, the finished product is in any case, he'll dig in and pop a piece into his mouth- ] Oh! This is--!! [ it's so good!!! and there's that sparkle in sena's (or in this case kazuki's) eyes as he shovels more egg into his mouth, which should be very... kazuki-ish of him? no, he's just that hungry and elliot's just that good. ]

[Aww he loves that reaction. he wasn't sure how Sena would react since he's so finnicky about his diet, but it looks like it's a success!] Hehe, like it?

[ nodnod!!! ] 's so good! Kaz must be real lucky to eat something like this everyday. [ being in kazuki's body makes it a bit easier to give out praise, so elliot'd better lap it up while he still can speaking of which... hopefully his brother knows what he's doing in that lonesome apartment of his. fortunately he keeps a list of recipes in his phone so that kaz wouldn't go hungry for now. ] Why's it not sparkling, though? Is it because you're in Souji's body?

Awww, thanks. You're too kind. [He will plate up his own and move to sit down] Oh...Yeah. Our powers got switched with our bodies. So he has my magic.

Yeah, that. Uh....haha, not yet? I-I'm still learning.

What's there to learn? Doesn't it just... appear when you will it to? Akiyan made it look so easy.

Eheh...I would think a model would get that things are often way harder than they look. [He says it lightly, just mildly pointing it out. Since you know, modeling just looks like wearing nice clothes and walking down a platform, but Elliot knows it's much harder!!! ] Anyway, I'm sure it comes more easily to natural persona user- but it's works very different from the magic I'm used to. Like...there's a lot more power to it? But I also have less control. And it's a lot more draining so it's harder to practice spells with my usual methods. [aka practicing a spell over and over until it's perfect] And that's before dealing with the different personalities of each Persona... [he sighs] S-Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. I'll get it down, it's just taking a bit of time to adjust.

You don't have to force yourself since I don't think that you and Souji would stay in each other's bodies for that long, but at the same time you've got to learn to defend yourself now that you don't have your usual magic with you. You never really now with this city these days. [ these past few months rather. ] At least you switched with someone with weird abilities. Kaz and I came from a pretty normal world for the most part. It took music way too seriously though that it drove some kids my age over the edge, but that's high school for you. [ shrug ]

N-No, I want to learn. Because you're right, I need to know how to defend myself in case something does happen. [He doesn't want to be a burden to anyone. He spent too long being weak] Aha...so you're among the group that went to that music school. [He offers a smile] Actually, I'm a little jealous of that. Powers aside, I'd love to go to a school about music.

[ he offers a shake of his head at that. tsk, tsk. ] Music and performance schools are all right, just... Not that school. It had a different curriculum that involves putting up concerts and getting graded based on how many you've won from that, so it's practically a bloodbath. [ like a war, for instance. ] You're also taking up music in Rec U, right? [ scoops up the last bits of omelette into his mouth, mmm ] What are your plans after that, if you don't mind me asking?

Haha, wow....sounds tough. Or at least, really competitive. [....He'd still take that over being stuck in an actual war though] Yeah, I am. [He nods] W-Well, I want to make music professionally, mostly classical. But I know that's pretty unreliable for income, so I wouldn't mind teaching music to kids when I'm not doing that. As long as I get a chance to share my love of music, I'd be happy really.

[ you know what, that's fair. actual wars leave actual scars. but hearing that simple dream of elliot's... it does bring a nice smile to his face. nice, but wistful. ] Look at you, already figured out what he wants to do in the future. That's not bad at all. [ ... ] Honestly I think you'd survive our music school, but at the same time I wouldn't wish it on my greatest enemy. I can totally see you as a music teacher someday, though.
