WHERE:RAINBOWLAND!(the grounds, the midway, the carousel, and the children's rides)
WHEN: August 4, 2018 (before all hell breaks loose)
WHAT: FAMILY TRIP TO RAINBOW LAND!
WARNINGS: Adorable cuteness from Xiaolang and Sakura

When nothing scary or weird happened on the third, Derek let out a huge sigh of relief. See? Nothing to worry about! And with this false sense of security, he decides that the next day he was going to take Noah and Sakura (which of course includes Li-Na, Xiaolang, and Leon. Derek has accepted that his family is forever connected to the Hong Kong House) to the new ausement park, RAINBOWLAND!

They all meet up at the entrance to the park and will be walking around taking in all the new sights. Derek has his camera ready to take pictures of everyone. Eventually they all get hungry and since there aren't any restuarants around, it will be a picnic on the grounds! Hopefully they will have enough food! The day will round out with riding the rides that are there and enjoying playing the carnival games.

[Noah sure is looking at rainbowland's features on a brochure. The rides look fun and he'll definitely want to try them, but there's one thing that bugs him]

What kind of amusement park doesn't have food...?

[Derek shifts his backpack a bit on his back. Inside are various packed lunches.]

Well, it just opened, so maybe they haven't been put in yet. But not to worry. I brought us some food for a picnic.

Guess so....still seems weird though.

[But hey at least Derek packed food!]

Nice to think ahead. [Pocketing the brochure] So what rides do you wanna hit?

[Derek folds his arms and thinks.]

Hmmm, well there are only the kids rides and the carousel so... at least the carousel we can get on right?

[redarm]

[Wow....this park. Noah sighs.]

Yeah, probably. Carousel it is.

[blondferret]

[As they are making their way to the carousel Derek pauses at a different ride. The spinning teacups.]

Well how about this? There's not any height limit so technically we should be able to ride it right?

[redarm]

He looks over]

Oh yeah, sure. Let's do that instead first! Wonder if it's one of those that let you spin it yourself.

[Heading over to it!]

[Derek follows his brother and waits in line until they get into their own tea cup. As the ride starts up, Derek looks at his brother with a mischievous glint in his eye.]

You do realize there's only one way to ride this right?

[Derek points to the wheel that they are able to turn.]

We have to make this spin as fast as possible until we almost puke.

[Derek places his hand on the wheel and starts turning as fast as he can.]

[Noah watches his brother go all michevious, and can't help but snort a little]

You're a 5 year old.

[he says as he puts his hands on the wheel itself and also tries to turn it as hard as he can-- well, as hard as he can without his hand breaking it]

[The teacup is spinning pretty fast right now, so Derek has to yell his response back at Noah.]

WHATS SO INNER ABOUT YOURS?

[Damn this is fast. He really hope he doesn't get sick. But that fear won't stop him from trying to spin this thing hard]

[Derek just laughs in response to Noah's yelled comment and continues to spin the tea cup. He's starting to feel a little motion sick. He must be imagining things. He's NEVER gotten motion sick on a ride before!]

WHOO HOO!

[redarm]

[Noah too is starting to feel a little motion sickness, but that's pretty normal for him when going so fast. Still, he's not going to let himself so weakness and keep spinning it fast! THIS IS ABOUT PRIDE]

Fast enough??

[Yes, it is definitely fast enough, but Derek will never admit it. Is he feeling motion sick? It's really getting there. But he won't loose! (since when was this a competition Derek?)

Derek shakes his head.]

NO FASTER!

[redarm]

[Derek no. ]

You sure? You're looking a little unwell!

[noah is too, but that's besides the point]

Of.. of course I'm sure! And I f-feel fine! I'm fine!

[That being said, Derek has stopped trying to speed up the teacup anymore and now he's just holding on for dear life!]

[redarm]

Bollocks.

[he says, but pulls his hand away from the wheel because yes, no more faster. just focus on not throwing up. He will hang onto the seat for dear life now]

[Derek continues to hold on for dear life as the ride continues to spin around and around. Eventually, the ride starts to slow down and Derek is able to breath a bit easier.]

Oh, thank god!

[As soon as the ride has stopped and he doors to the tea cups open, Derek stumbles out with a hand over his mouth.]

[Why did it end up this way?]

[Derek walks over to a patch of grass and just leans over it for a bit, just in case anything decides to come up.]

[noah too stumbles out of the ride, looking sick to his stomach. He covers his mouth as he just squats down to the ground. Yes. sweet ground. This seems like a good safe place to be]

We made a mistake....

[Xiaolang's also checking out one of the brochures, curious to see what this place has to offer, but Noah's comment gets him to glance up in confusion.]

Why would it need food? People come to these places to go to the attractions, don't they?

Yeah, and food is one of the attractions! Have you never been to a place like this before?

[XIAOLANG YES-- but he huffs a little at Noah's reaction, going straight back to checking out the map again.]

I have, a number of times. [Thanks to his sisters dragging him out for the holidays, much to his annoyance.] And from my experience, it's usually over-priced and not all that good to begin with.

We're much better off with what my sister brought, believe me.
