WHAT: FAMILY TRIP TO RAINBOW LAND!
WARNINGS: Adorable cuteness from Xiaolang and Sakura

When nothing scary or weird happened on the third, Derek let out a huge sigh of relief. See? Nothing to worry about! And with this false sense of security, he decides that the next day he was going to take Noah and Sakura (which of course includes Li-Na, Xiaolang, and Leon. Derek has accepted that his family is forever connected to the Hong Kong House) to the new ausement park, RAINBOWLAND!

They all meet up at the entrance to the park and will be walking around taking in all the new sights. Derek has his camera ready to take pictures of everyone. Eventually they all get hungry and since there aren't any restuarants around, it will be a picnic on the grounds! Hopefully they will have enough food! The day will round out with riding the rides that are there and enjoying playing the carnival games.

[Sakura, for her part, is all but bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement. Not only was she here at the amusement park but that her brother had relented in beinging Xiaolang along too so she got to spend the day with him and her family as well. She is a bundle of energy and excitement, pointing and pulling them along from ride to ride before finally succumbing to her stomach in agreeing to break for something to eat.

Sometimes she might go on a different ride with Xiaolang if the others want to go on a more adult type ride. Even standing in line doesn't seem to deter her enthusiasm any, in using that chance to catch her breath and chat with everyone. Sometimes during these downtimes she might bring out her phone to take photos or check her messages from other friends.]

[Honestly. Xiaolang could go either way when it came to amusement parks-- he wasn't in love with them, but he wasn't about to say no to going, either. Seeing Sakura so filled to the brim with enthusiasm and energy made the trip more than worth it, though, and he can't keep the soft, fond smile off of his face as she bounced around from place to place like a little ball of sunshine. This was Sakura in her element, at her pure, absolute best, radiating cheerfulness and fun from every pore, making even the most mundane activities like waiting in line seem exciting.

... which was probably a good thing, since the line for this one particular ride they were going on seemed fairly long, despite it not looking all that thrilling. The teacups were cute, but...]

So do these just... spin around?

[He's not trying to damper her excitement, he's just trying to figure out the appeal of these things, okay]

Pretty much? But it isn't too fast like some of the other rides that might make some people feel sick from it. I'm sure the two of us would fit in one together!

[Yeah, it basically does just spin around. But it looks fun and it's a break from the higher thrill type rides. And something for just the two of them, rather than being chaperoned by the others. As fun as it was to go with the whole group, it was nice to do one or two rides at least with just herself and Xiaolang.]

Unless you wanted to try a different ride?

[He gives a quick shake of his head at her question, determined to go on whatever rides she thought were fun and made her happy.]

N-No...! I'm fine with this one if you are! I'm just surprised it's so popular.

[But he can't help the heat that floods his face at the thought of the two of them getting to go and enjoy the park together, going on rides with her and her alone without any of their family butting in. It's enough to make his heart pitter-patter excitedly in his chest, willing to go on even the kiddie-train if it meant spending some precious time with her. He can't help his eyes from traveling the line to one of the particular teacups making it's rounds during the ride, it's rapid rotations already making him a little dizzy just from watching it.]

Although I can't say this one won't make people feel sick...

[It's mostly just a murmur to himself, though and it seems like the rotations were largely passenger controlled, anyway. So as long as they didn't fool around with it too much, they should probably be fine?? Maybe??]

Maybe because this one isn't as fast as some of the others, or that have a height restriction? So even the younger kids can ride it.

[Sure it might not be a thrill seeking type ride that most older teenagers might prefer, or most adults, but still. It was something the whole family could ride, if they had kids. As for Sakura, she just thinks this might be fun and isn't so worried about the line. Just so long as she spends time and makes memories with Xiaolang.]

You think it might make you sick?

[He starts as she asks him that question, surprised that she heard him mumble that in the first place. He holds his hands up nervously, worried she might think he was overtly delicate or a stick in the mud if he said otherwise. Granted, it was mostly the faster, more complicated rides that threw him out of whack, not something quite like this, so--]

N... No, not at all! I mean, if we don't turn it too quickly or anything, it should be fine...!

A-And anyway... [His cheeks flush a bit, a little shy to be admitting as much, but--] As long as we get to go on a ride together, I don't... particularly mind. I think being with you is the most important part.

I think we should be alright. If we can control the speed, I mean. It'll be fun!

[That and. Yes. The important thing about this trip was to spend time with everyone. To spend time together. Including with Xiaolang. So she doesn't mind waiting in line or going on the more 'tame' rides. It wasn't like the lines for some of the more thrill-seeker type rides were much if any quicker to get through.]

If you say it'll be fun, then I'm sure it must be.

[Thankfully for them, the line goes quicker than they think, and while they've been chatting, they're already up for the next batch of rides. Xiaolang's eyeing the cups as the operators get them cleaned and ready, and then glances over at her.]

Which color cup do you want to go on?

Hm. What about the purple one?

[Pink is possibly her favourite colour, but still. It was nice to figure something else for a change. And really, it wasn't that big of a deal which colour, which teacup they went in when they all did the same thing on the ride.]

[Like... true, the color really didn't matter in the end, and he didn't particularly care himself, but it was good to know so he could have a battle plan going in. He gives a nod at her choice, and as the gates to the ride open and start letting people in, he holds out his hand out to her instinctively.]

Come on, let's go grab that one then!

Right! Let's go!

[With that particular coloured cup in mind, it was easier to navigate their way to it before someone else might get there first. Sakura doesn't think twice on taking his offered hand. Her slightly smaller one in his as she then goes with him to rush for a beeline towards their intended cup.]

[With Sakura's hand securely in his, he keeps the pace with her as they hurry for their cup, taking care not to run too quickly and drag her or lag too much and accidentally trip over his feet. The teacup was a decent distance away from the entrance, but that seemed to be in their favor-- everyone else looked to be clamoring for the closer cars, for their own convienience. A couple eying their cup has him pushing for it for the last few feet, clamping his free hand upon it's side as they reach it.

Taking a second to catch his breath, he straightens up and opens the door for Sakura, leading her by their connected hand into the teacup with a small smile upon his face.]
