turnabout generations (open)
WHO: Kyouya Garyuu and YOU
WHERE: Everywhere and nowhere
WHEN: Throughout the month
WHAT: A catchall
WARNINGS: Language possibly
a. who's really the sick one? (tribunal terrace)
[ Things which seemed like a charming idea in theory: going to the children's hospital with a big package of origami paper to help the kids learn to make frogs that could jump on their own and maybe give them a project like making cranes together. Kyouya likes kids well enough and it seems like a great way to possibly meet people. People being hot nurses who also like kids and who like guys who like kids, among others.
Unfortunately, what he's found is a hospital with paint haphazardly thrown along hallways that lead him to terrifying places, like what must be the urgent ward for infants, filled with the sounds of sick babies he can't see and invisible caregivers who also can't see him. He's not sure why he thought the hospital might be different than the rest of the world--maybe some sense that a leadership that sent cheeky text messages would surely be more merciful than this--but rather than making decorations, he's sitting in what he thinks is a waiting room, fiddling with the colored paper and trying to decide if perhaps he should just go. Who is he really helping here? ]
b. a man's gotta eat (chata)
[ After the disaster at the hospital, while Kyouya would love to go make donations to the orphanage, he's not sure he has it in him, so instead he's taking a self-care day, and part of that includes groceries. It seems the people who worked on the painting project the month before really prioritized this place but it also seems like the vast majority of the staff must have been off the app, because it's impossible to find anyone. It's also extremely difficult, though not entirely impossible, to find anything, since many of the aisles are visible but painted in completely the wrong colors for what they're offering.
Perhaps it would be easier, he wonders, if the things people are the most likely to need are at the front of the store rather scattered around? Then it saves them looking if they don't have the entire grocery store layout memorized. Therefore, you'll find Kyouya taking the sodas and energy drinks out of the coolers near the registers and refilling them with cartons of milk. It's time consuming, but it's not like he has anywhere else to be at the moment, and nobody seems to be around to stop him. ]
c. food from strangers (tisse)
Hello there~ Have you eaten yet today? It's important to keep your blood sugar up, or how will you stay so sweet?
[ There's a blond man in sunglasses and impossibly tight black jeans offering you a cupcake with a smile, and despite the fact that he really shouldn't with a line like that, he somehow seems utterly sincere. Accept? Decline? Swat the dessert in his face? The day is yours. ]
d. wildcard
[ Have a prompt you want to do with Kyouya? Drop it here, or let me know at
tawnyport or send a pm or however works best for you! I am at your command. ]
closed to miai: you put the star in starting over
[ Kyouya's not going to pretend, even after reading back through the guides and posts on the app and after experimenting a little on his own, that he understands how this world works just yet, but the deal with the paintbrushes, at least, is fairly straightforward. Apply paint and the things you are painting reappear, albeit monochromatically unless you have someone else to mix with. Kyouya's own paint is a very pleasing shade of deep blue-purple that puts him in mind of a sky at the end of twilight, which is what sends him out this evening, brush in tow and wearing his oldest, most loved and abused jeans and a t-shirt. Normally he wouldn't be caught dead like this but he suspects what he's about to do is going to get messy; who knows how complicated it's going to be to repaint a sky, after all, and nobody should wear their best clothes with wet paint above their heads.
Naturally the heart of Recolle's campus has already been repainted so he seeks the farther edges, away from the slowly awakening lights of the parking lots and concrete walkways, humming soft music to himself as he tries to determine the difference between missing a spot and hitting it precisely as he needs to for the constellations to come back. ]

no subject
( miai hears klavier before he sees him, and he hears him just a little ways away. there's no good reason for him to be out alone this late - is there ever? - but ever since the people in the city disappeared, so have miai's social outlets. he's been bored, in short. while there are people on the app he still sees, there's only so much you can bother a set of people before they tire of you, and - more importantly - you tire of them.
so he'd been walking the perimeter of most things, having tired of walking the roofs for now. he'd had some stuff with him, his paint brush by chance, and when he hears the hum of a voice he knows very well he, for a moment, hesitated.
and then the hesitation passed, and he catches up to him, coming up at him from a diagonal behind. )
What are you up to? Going on a date?
( he's teasing, based on klavier's worn-out dress— so not his brother's style. )
c
And he accepts a cupcake with no hesitation! ]
Oh, I haven't, actually! Thank you.
Am I sweet, though?
b
- until he spots kyouya refilling drinks with the wrong one. uh. ]
What the fuck are you doing?
[ he's never sounded this disgusted. just? sodas mixed with milk??? is that even allowed????? ]
