Wealth Bank, a bank that has a hand in gold exchanges, opened its new branch in Recolle as of last year, sticking out like a sore thumb in the midst of Chata's outlined and painted pleasantries. Grand from its foundation to its ceiling, it represents the divide between the economic classes. However, they offer substantial aid to students of all backgrounds, no matter how poor. They're here to help! Unfortunately, the internet says otherwise. Cached comments from different victims all across the world bring the nature of this establishment to light.

man this place just sucks the life out of you?? what they do is try to lure you in with these low rates and promise of helping you finance your years going to college but all they do is exploit students and you're left with more debt

i've heard that if students can't pay off their debts, they're asked to make drug runs to clear them. you can't just do it once, either. they'll keep banging on your door and dangle your debt right in front of you. it's horrible.

And there's only more. The rumors say that the bank is only a cover for loan sharks, drug rings, and the like. Whether these are true are not is left to the reader, but the abundance of people coming forward online is astounding. There are comments that say they've seen people disappear when dealing with Wealth and any of its branches... So far, Recolle has been spared, but it may be that the bank is hoping to build rapport before dipping into its true nature.


TIME TO INFILTRATE.


The bank is heavily guarded and completely painted, but with the help of Retrospec's awful shenanigans, our local Robin Hoods may have a better chance when guards and employees can't see them at all. What they need to worry about are the dogs that sometimes parole around the premises and within the corridors. Unfortunately, animals can see them crystal clear. The intricate security system is still intact and rooms are still locked. While security cameras probably won't pick them up yet, it would be good to clear that footage in case they return to their perceivable status in the future.

Their goal is to find any proof to back up these rumors, destroy and delete debt records, possibly return (steal) personal items to their rightful owners when it's possible (thanks, Retrospec), and if they don't find anything... Guess they're going to loot a buck or two to throw out of their getaway car as they parade through Recolle. Overall, simple, if they don't mind that some of the computers with access to records are scattered (thanks, Retrospec again). Once this heist is done, Recolle's Wealth branch will close.

Don't line your own pockets too much! Akira will be there to smack your hand. Bad.

Let's head to the center, and then work our way back? That way we won't miss it.

That makes sense.

[ So if they head down this corridor... Yusuke takes a couple of tentative steps towards one of the hallways and peers down it. There aren't people - not ones that can see them and be seen by them, but there are cameras.

While they can delete that footage, it would be easier if they just weren't caught by them in the first place. Carefully, he motions to Elliot and Haru. ]

I can see two cameras, but there are likely more. Here-- [ Ahead, to the left. ] and there-- [ Further back, on the right. ]. Can you see any others?

[He follows along cautiously, letting Yusuke look out first. When Yusuke asks, he'll look around and spot a camera on the far end of the hall they are looking into]

Yeah, there's one down there. [He points them out] Should we try to avoid them or destroy them?

Avoid, I think.

[ It feels... right. ]

If we destroy it, the footage cuts out and it would look suspicious when everything is back to normal. We would have to find and destroy the camera footage in that case, rather than just double check it at most.

[ Just because no one can catch them in the act doesn't mean they can't be called up for it later, after all. ]

Okay, that makes sense. One sec-

[Avoid it is! He focuses his magic power. There's a brief flash of blue before a golden eye appears above Yusuke then bursts into some golden light sparkles. He'll find that his vision has improved and he feels lighter on his feet- in other words, accuracy and evasion has increased by a good amount.

Elliot will repeat the spell on himself and Haru]

That should help us sneak around.

[ Elliot you are such a good magical boy. The heightened sense is... strange, and it takes a moment to get used to, but when he does it is incredibly striking how much further can see. And the feeling, like he's light and floating on his feet... ]

Incredible...! This is one of your spells, Elliot?

[ He takes a couple of light steps across the corridor, from side to side, feather-light and fast. ]

This will make things so much easier.

Haha, yeah. It's a real lifesaver.

[Because seriously without it his own agility is godawful]

Anyway, any plans for how to avoid the camera? I don't have an invisibility spell I'm afraid.

... [ Ah, here's the million dollar question. ]

I'm not sure. But they should have blind spots.

[ ... ] They don't seem to moving, and they aren't situated opposite each other so the blind spot may be underneath the camera if we press against the wall they're attached to.

Good thinking...

[Examining the size of the camera, and then their group. Thankfully, this is the noodle group]

We should be thin enough to squeeze past, I think. We just have to do it carefully.

Yes. Hugging the wall is optimal... and we'd need to switch between walls.

[ ... ]

Perhaps we should note the time and check the cameras regardless. Just in case we are caught.

[He nods]

Good thinking.

[Pulling out his phone, he'll glance at it]

It's 8:37pm, remember that. [And with that, he pockets the phone and moves up against the wall, ready to move when the others are]

8:37pm. Got it.

[ Well then. There is no time like the present, after all. Yusuke presses his back to wall and takes some tentative side steps along it, inch by inch. It's slow process, but he's moving along the wall, squinting at the other camera ahead.

... Elliot gave him agility, didn't he? Maybe...

He lifts one foot to press against the wall and using it to catapult himself from one wall to the other. At the very least, he should be moving fast enough he might just miss the camera field. ]

[Thanks to the added agility, Yusuke is able to clear that hallway with ease. Elliot sure looks impressed. So smooth fox!!

Elliot's a little more cautious, knowing that even with the boost his agility won't be as high. He takes a moment to look at the camera and try to estimate it's field. At least it wasn't a moving camera, so that'll make things easier.

Once he thinks he has a good idea? He'll try to mimic Yusuke's move. He managed to do it fast, but his legs aren't nearly as long as Yusuke's, so he has to do a quick hop in the middle of the hall.

Still, it doesn't seem like he's fallen on his face.]

[ How cute. Yusuke does some silent applauding from his safe spot by the wall. He did good, and most importantly it doesn't seem like they've been spotted? He hopes.

But before long he's looking back up at the other camera, and slowly repeating the motions from before - shuffling along the wall, keeping his back pressed to it as close as he can. ]

Onwards.

[Aw thanks Yusuke, he gives a little smile at that, and would've probably don't mock bow if they weren't trying to stay hidden]

Okay.

[Shuffle shuffle shuffle. He's following suit, trying to be as sneaky as possible. He's keeping an eye out for cameras, but it won't be much more until they reach the end of this hall. ]

[ Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle...

Beautiful. Once he's cleared the second camera, Yusuke slips around one of the corners and presses himself back against the wall. ]

Hm...

[ There's a door just to his left, which might be an idea to check out. It looks official? This is how they plan things. ]

[He notices that door too, glancing up at Yusuke]

Let's check out that room, maybe there'll be something in there.

[Gonna move quietly over there to open it up. What's in here??]

[ What luck! It's the control room, towards the middle of the bank as they'd speculated. Otherwise they'd be crappy Mission Impossible stealthing down corridors forever. ]

I can see some panels, and computers. This might be a good place to look for any passwords and codes...

[he sighs in relief when he sees what Yusuke is describing. Thank goodness, on their first room too!]

Yeah, I'll check the panels and you check the computers?

[fabrefactions]

Okay. Let's go.

[ Time to pretend he knows what he's doing with computers, heck. There's not a lot he can see - shifting the mouse switches the screen saver off, but-- ]

-- Ah. It's locked.

[ But this is a computer desk... so maybe there's something around here that can help him? Hold on, he's going to ferret through the drawers for a mo. ]

Try looking for a password.

[He meanwhile heads to the panels. Luckily, this one is more straight forward as it's more like a fusebox. It's locked, but he just...uses his ARCUS to conjuring a bit of rock to smash the glass with and open the door from behind. Good old magic. ]

Oh cool, I can shut down the alarm systems here.

[Doing that!]

[ The drawers are offering up, uh. Keys. Bits and bobs. Some snacks... and finally, a little black notebook tucked away towards the back. ]

Ah, maybe...

[ Maybe they're on a roll now. If Elliot's shutting the system down, and this ives him the password they need... ]

I think I might have it. Or at least where "it" is located.

[Elliot keeps shutting systems down. More alarm systems, automatic locks - he'll keep the vending machines in the break room on though. he's not a monster.

He glances over his shoulder, seeing Yusuke with a notebook]

[ Hmm. ]

I would have thought a company would have a stronger password than ... password. But with number and symbol replacements.

[ Let him tippity tap that in and... now they have access to the whole security system. Someone's probably going to get fired over this.

... But first!! He's accessing the camera footage and scrolling back to when they were dashing along the corridor like bosses, and playing it back, slowly. Just to be sure they weren't caught. ]

Hahah...is that really is? Guess being shady doesn't mean you'd be a text genius...

[He finishes off switching off the switches to be flipped and come back over to where Yusuke is. He watches the footage over his shoulder. For the most part, they did fairly well keeping out of the camera's path, but there's the occasional glimpse of their movements.]

I-Is that what I look like...?
