▶ I. ( Tribunal Terrace: Not so smooth criminal )

[ 'Discuss crimes or wrong-doings you’ve committed in this life or the past with one other person.'

It takes Leon a moment to let that note process as he reads the task. He even lets out a laugh and is tempted to crumple it up and throw it away. As much as he would like to play it off as being some kind of joke, he knew that since it's god damn Retrospec, they aren't going to be kidding. As always, he continues to be reminded that everything about this application sucks hardcore.

Still, he wants to get this task over with as fast as possible. ]

So, I know I'm about ready to ask you is going to sound utterly ridiculous but bear with me. [ After letting out a sigh, he clears his throat in an attempt to focus. ] Do you want to talk about crime?

[ He's doing his best to sound serious but he's having a hard time keeping his expression straight and he just... brings his palm to meet his face, feeling so stupid at the words that left his mouth. ]

▶ II. ( Chata: Looking for a Pawesome friend? )

[ Should one be walking along the streets of Chata and happen to be close to Recollé's Animal Shelter, there's a very high chance you'll be approached by a smug young man running a hand through his perfect curly hair. (Source? Himself. Of course.) The smirk on his face is probably one of the most punch-able things ever, to be honest. ]

You look like you could use a companion. [ Is he looking down on you or is he legitimately concerned? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ] If you have time to spare, come by the animal shelter. We're currently holding an adoption drive to find pets a good home.

[ Ignoring the arrogant aura that's practically oozing out of him, he will hand passerbys a flyer with a few pictures of some of the animals printed on it. Alongside him is a very happy poodle wearing the most elegant of doggy dresses. She lets out a very energetic bark and wags her tail at any strangers her owner happens to greet. Leon has made her the unofficial mascot of the adoption drive but she's absolutely not up for adoption. Sorry, no one is allowed to have his princess!!!

Or alternatively, if anyone happens to just be helping out at the shelter, Leon will stroll up to anyone that's tending to the dogs with a giant bag of dog food and other various treats for puppers. ]

Hey you, make sure everyone is getting enough to eat. There's a lot, so let's split up the work and get all the dogs in this section fed.

[ Despite his abrasive tone and overall bossy behavior... he does mean well. Kind of. ]

▶ III. ( Enprise: LET'S D-D-D-DUEL!!!! )

[ 'Engage in a duel of your choice with someone.'

Oh hell yes. Leon absolutely likes this task. If it gives him the chance to best someone and show off his skills, then he is one hundred percent down. Which is why he will wander up to the first person he sees, point at them and boldly declare without any sort of ounce of shame: ]

En garde! I, the great Leon Zhong challenges to you a duel.

[ Is that a fencing sword attached to his hip? Yes... yes it is. ]

▶ IV. ( Tisse: I love the power glove. It's so bad. )

[ Video games are serious business. Especially for this gaming nerd. Leon thought a lot of these tasks are stupid as fuck, but Retrospec managed to gain like half a point for putting this on the list. Just a half a point. Besides that, they still suck.

Still, he can't quite hide his enthusiasm as he steps into the arcade. ]

Want to play a game? I'm pretty good if I say so myself. [ This douche never fails to toot his own horn. But then he pauses at his realization of what he just said and immediately turns red. ] D-Don't think I play video games all the time or something. I'm just happen to be talented at a lot of things.

[ This might be the first time someone's ever actually been tsundere towards video games. ]

Since I'm feeling generous, I'll let you pick the game we play.

Out of everything he's been given, this had to be the easiest task for Leon. There's someone he's always willing to pamper and he knows that she needs it. With everything that's been going on and how he's been snapping at her, he's desperately trying to make it up to Mio. In his mind, it's not much since he will always feel guilty for yelling at her, but he still wants to try his hardest to be a better boyfriend and give her the happiness she deserves.

Which is why the first place that comes to his mind when he thinks of pampering is the spa; Relataxations. He does feel a little weird when he pulls up into the empty parking lot but at the same time, he didn't mind having the alone time with her. ]

I hate that we're coming here without anyone tending to the place. [ After letting out a sigh, he smiles at her. ] Well, whatever, that's fine. Since you're with me, I'll pamper you better than any spa worker.

Oh, really?

[She can't help but smirk, just a little bit. Even though she's having a bit of trouble focusing, she likes being with him. She wants to like being with him.]

Does that mean you're going to attend to my every need today? ♥

[ When she puts it like that, he suddenly feels embarrassed and his face instantly flushes into a bright shade of pink. ]

W-Well, I'm suppossed to pamper you so I suppose that falls into that category. You should feel lucky because I won't do this for just anyone.

[ Even though he's flustered over the matter, he really does want to do this for her to make up for how horrible he's been. He steps out of his car and walks over to the passenger side, opening the door for Mio like a princess. ]

This was easily the most embarrassing of the tasks he's had to do. He could already feel the steam pouring out of his ears as he nervously clutches onto a piece of paper. Which is why he ends up requesting Li-Na for her assistance. There's not many people he would talk to about this but, she's one of the few since he feels really comfortable about her presence. ]

Hey. Sorry to call you out here, but there's something I need to do to. And you... are one of like, three people I feel comfortable about sharing this with.

[ He could feel how red his face is and he absolutely hates it. Ugh. This is the worst. ]

[Li-Na is curious, to say the least. Leon is usually so self-assured and confident, that she almost asks him if he's feeling alright. But clearly he is going to tell her something or he wouldn't have asked her to meet with him.]

[ She certainly has the right idea. Should Leon actually not feel confident in something, it's the day that pigs fly. ]

[ Li-Na is such a good girl and is one of the people he has the easiest time talking with. There's something about her sweet nature that makes him feel at ease whenever they chat. ]

[ 'Help someone study for their finals.'

As soon as he reads this task, a certain girl immediately pops into his mind. Specifically a tennis maniac with a distaste for studying. Almost immediately, he zooms in to try and find her and when he does, he strides over to where she's at, pretty much stopping her from whatever she's in the middle of doing because that's how he rolls. Ruining people's fun is what Leon Zhong is good at. ]

Hey Ava. Why don't we study for finals?

[ Leon's smiling as he places a hand on her shoulder but hidden behind that smile is an expression that pretty much says 'And don't you dare try to escape from me. Your fate has been sealed.' ]

[And the last thing her mind was to study for finals. With the city being as abnormal as it was, with all of the non-app users disappearing and literally transforming into ghost-like anomalies, Ava was coping with the situation the best way she could: playing tennis. It was the only way to keep her from becoming a complete shut in while redirecting her attention elsewhere.

Of course, even while fully concentrating on picking up the scattered tennis balls to reload her tennis machine once more, she will notice footsteps heading in her general direction. Who was heading her way?]

Oh, it's you Leo--

[Before she was even able to say any more, his own question will catch her off guard because.]

W-Wh--Huh?

[And that's when she notices the expression in his smile, it gave her a light chill as it reminded her of the way her mother would smile and address her over matters that were out of debate. All she could do was pout at him.]

...do you seriously wanna study while everyone is in ghost mode? [So much pouting over this until she offers a sigh.] Knowing you, of course you do.... [After all, he was one of the best students in their year and one of the many reasons her own grades were decent enough to not kick her out of the program; but even so, she still has to wonder:] Do you really enjoy studying this much? We can do other things, you know! [Like not study, for one?]

[ It's not surprising at all to find her at the tennis courts. In fact, it's the first place that came to his mind when he was trying to find her. Admittedly, there's a part of him that really doesn't blame her for not wanting to study. With the disappearance of non-app users, it's hard for even him to focus on school work.

As tempting as it was to just forget about school, he wasn't going to allow himself to do that. Though he wasn't as much of a study freak like his rival Ishida but his education is still very important to him. ]

Absolutely. [ He says without a hint of hesitation or remorse. ] It's mostly a precaution, really. Should everyone return, I doubt they will let us get away with not taking our finals. So, we should properly prepare ourselves that way we aren't scrambling at the last minute for studying.

[ Since unfortunately, Retrospec isn't going to fly as an excuse. ]

Once we are done studying, we can do other things afterwards.

[ 'Talk about your family and why you love them with someone.'

This one is both easy and difficult. While it's embarrassing to express his love for his family, he also had zero problems bragging about how great and rich they are. Truthfully, he's not sure how to go about this one and where to begin since there's a lot of people he can talk to. That and who can he speak to without getting embarrassed?

After some consideration, Leon scrolls through his list of victims contacts and selects someone that he feels would be the easiest to chat with. That poor soul happens to be Daisuke and thus, he will receive the most omninous of text messages. ]

Would you like to be introduced to a splendid world beyond your wildest imaginations?

[ This would probably be super ominous if Daisuke wasn't used to fending off telemarketers that say the exact same thing to trick him into thinking he won a cruise. Though Daisuke sees the sender and wonders what's up.

[ Koga stares at the fencing sword, then back up to Leon and his smug face. His is just disbelief. ]

[ This is pretty funny from the guy who cherishes his beloved oversized cotton ball for a pooch. Just maybe though, Koga wants to poke at him for the heck of it, rather than dismiss the challenge. Metaphorically, you know. He doesn't have sword skills or something like that. ]

[ He sets his hand on his hip, leaning over with his taunt. ]

[ It takes him a moment to realize just how ridiculous he looks right about now. He honestly thought he looked cool with the fencing sword but seeing Koga's expression was starting to make him wonder. Slowly... he was beginning to feel a little embarrassed.

IGNORE THE BLUSH FORMING ON HIS CHEEKS, he's going to do his best to prevail!! Because in his mind, the fantastic Leon Zhong always looks cool. ]

I... just brought it for precaution is all! Be glad I didn't bring my more deadly swords.

[ He huffs a little, still feeling flustered over the ordeal. ]

Well, naturally. Once I set my mind to something, I intend to put all my efforts into it. [ ...But that's still not an excuse for you acting over dramatic about this duel, Leon. ] Ha! You a wolf? If anything, you're still just a puppy. What kind of duel would you suggest we partake in?

[ BECAUSE NOW HE REALLY WANTS TO TAKE YOU ON, KOGA!!! ]

[ Koga is apparently the hound of reason. You think he'd have mercy on Leon's fluster, but he cocks his head with a matching smile. ]

A puppy, huh? Well this one manage to bite you good before you got a hit in! I'll give you your duel though, since neither of us want to back out of this. That's how duel should be, no chickens!

[ He laughs quietly, but soul energy is soul energy. a hand to his chin, some thought on what to do... oh! ]

The arcade probably has some games with versus mode in em... actually, there's a new swordfighting one! You can get your dumb dramatics in, aren't you a lucky guy.

[ Beatrice seems up to doing that, even though he's a dog. Okay doggo, you do you. _(Which is sitting in front of Leo, fluffy tail going back and forth, and head turned up expectantly awaiting petting.) Kiyoshi looks at this kid with amused surprise. ]

About crime? Talking about crime seems like pretty serious stuff, actually.

[ Oh no cute. Leon has a major weakness for dogs. He starts at the fluffy tail swooshing back and forth, but he's doing his best not to give into his urges to pet. He has a mission he has to take care of and is determined to not let anything distract him!!!

... Even if it's cute. ]

Well, of course. It's not like I want to talk about crime. I'm only doing what this stupid task says.

[It's probably strange that Ishida is in the arcade in the first place, but as he hears Leon's voice resound throughout the area, he can't help but glance at him with a questioning look.]

Leon?! What are you here?! [He's definitely going to call Leon out first before he can ask why Ishida is here!! Playing at arcades definitely doesn't fit his good student role model behavior and now someone that he knows is aware of this. TERRIBLE...]

[ Oh no. No no no no no. Even though Leon loves video games, he still wants to keep the image of being a student that takes his studies seriously. So his rival is the absolute last person he wanted to run into at the arcade.

Shit this is so bad. To make things worst, his face is turning several shades of red, as if he was caught doing the most embarrassing thing in the world. ]

I.. well... t-that is to say...!!! [ This is the great Leon Zhong, everyone. He's so good at coming up with excuses on the spot. ] I-I was simply following up a task I was given. I have to beat someone in a video game as ridiculous as it sounds.

[Derek notices fencing foil at Leon's side and smirks. He takes out his wand with a flourish and gets into a defensive stance.]

I accept, but unless you have magic, I think we both know how this is going to end.

I know how to make swords fly! [ He says like it's the most awesome thing ever. (Spoilers: Not really, Leon) ] What about you? Can YOU fight with swords? Because if that's the case then I have this challenge in the bag.

[ He looks slightly offended but to be fair, that's nothing new for Leon. ]

[ Kaede couldn't resist helping out at the shelter, and is silently wishing that she had her own apartment so she could get a dog of her own. She's petting one of the dogs when Leon approaches her.

She's thrilled to see him, and not surprised that he's helping out here too. ]

[ IT KAEDE!!! As soon as he sees her, his tune immediately changes into one that's much more friendlier and he's even smiling. ]
