a. enprise - swim with the sharks

[Admittedly... he didn't realize that swimming would go this way, but he's dealt with sharks before.

They were metallic and were befriended through combat by one of the subgroups in his group, but still! He has dealt with them before! And what is life without some risk, um, probably? Probably. Hopefully he won't be nibbled.

And hopefully you won't be either, partner.]

They're generally not as aggressive as the media makes them out to be... so long as blood isn't spilled, it's fine, I think. You'll want to keep below them if you can, though, sharks hunt by using the shadows above them. Oh, and if you get attacked, hit their gills.

[It's a little known fact, but Goro rambles mostly when he's nervous. He's very nervous despite looking utterly calm-- no, accepting of this new situation. Anything for his mother.]

b. tisse - steal someone's coffee

[... Anything for his mother, apparently, because he's trying his best to hawk coffee from others. There's a lack of actual normal people in the area, so it's harder, and that technically means any coffee he steals will be a fellow Retrospec user... um, baristas, please do not judge him.

Now, his best at the moment is just ordering coffee for himself every now and then and otherwise loitering in the various coffeeshops around Recolle, watching the counter to try and steal his next cup.

Catch him in the act or ask him to leave, please. Or help him out. We're all thieves here.]

[ Jamie's very tired; it's not a great month to be a barista. He knows it's all for a good cause, so he's trying not to be a narc or a killjoy, but, like... there are so many ways this could go wrong?? And it's complicated. When he worked at that one major chain, he didn't care all that much what happened to the bottom line, but now that he's at the Tea Kittle, he's keenly aware of how the cafe is tied to Leon's livelihood (and his own). So he can't just go around replacing drinks for free willy-nilly, can he...? Especially when the customer flow is so far below average, for obvious reasons. (Well, he still hears phantom customers coming in sometimes, expressing their confusion that the place is totally abandoned, and leaving again. They were never able to directly interact with what they must have thought was an unguarded tip jar, as far as he could tell, but he still felt kind of like he should move it behind the counter...)

Anyway.

He's trying to have some perspective about it all, and for the most part he's politely ignoring the antics of the java bandits (as long as they don't seem to be really taking advantage). But Jamie recognizes Goro from that month down in hell, so after they've both been waiting a few minutes for another customer to arrive and order something... ]

You know, I think you could probably just pay for someone else's coffee.
And have it work.

[ Koutarou really is just trying to mind his own business. He's got a deadline coming up and he still has to meet his deadlines, missing people or not. He's been working all night and until just recently and he's taken a break to find some coffee and something to eat and he's tired, so he's asleep at the counter.

He might have a tendency to walk into things when he's caught up by sketching but he's still alert enough to people's presences when he's not drawing, even if he's asleep. ]

That's not yours, 's it?

[ It's Koutarou's. He's just not reacted to it being placed by him right away because he's tired.

He blinks tiredly at Goro and rubs his cheek with a paint-stained yukata sleeve. He can feel the wrinkles caused by the fabric from when he leaned against it, ouch. ]

[ They could just steal this coffee cup together, but like Akira would have that. This is his target, so he wraps his hands around Goro's in hopes to reinstate his dominance and hopefully intimidate him (he knows it won't work). His fingers fill in the gaps between Goro's, enjoying the slight singe against the tips, as he flashes him a sly smile and a half-lidded gaze.

He loves you, but back off. ]

I'm sure this isn't your coffee.

Mine's tea, by the way.

[ . . . So says Natalia. Who is standing here by the counter with perhaps a good drink option here, but she turns with a smile at the other!! ... She might be here to get a coffee so steal too, though.

[Derek is paying for his coffee when he sees this hand taking his coffee out of the corner of his eye.]

[Derek turns around and grabs the theif by the back of his shirt.]

[Normally Derek gets Earl Grey tea in the morning. Getting coffee only means he's in an exceptionally bad mood and he's really tiered, which makes sense because he's been busy moving and helping his brother move into his place. A brother who has only been his brother for two years (adopted) and is a teenager shit full of issues he doesn't know how to deal with. TODAY IS A DAY FOR COFFEE AND OVER HIS DEAD BODY IS SOMEONE GOING TO STEAL IT!]

[Tatsuma's already out, placing oil paintings on unframed canvas up on display. Most of them are fairly small in size, all monochrome for... obvious reasons.

He's not really planning to sell anything. But he would like to help fix the world, even a little.]

[ akira didn't give sena the exact details about what goro did in his past life and it's not as if he's eager to find out more... but what better time to talk about past grievances than now when the world's invisible and that there's a task that lets you talk about it?

the cafes are too noisy at this hour and they're a tad too overrated to talk about secrets there at this point, so sena texts goro to meet him at the park, on the playground. goro will see him seated on a bench beneath a tree because he is not risking the heat out there, and sena will wave him over to come sit with him with... well, not much urgency; like he said he doesn't want to seem excited over this. ]

I found a task that I think we can both do. [ "Discuss crimes or wrong-doings you've committed in this life or the past with one other person." ] ...I don't want to pressure you or anything, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious. And... I think it's about time anyway.

[While the non-Retrospec users aren't truly disappeared in a sense, Augustine decides to help them out while they are "gone". In fact, he remembers that just before they disappear, his parents' neighbor is too busy cleaning their yard for a while. So he decided to stop by at Viea Village to do some yard work in their place.

Right now, he is preparing himself for wearing some gardening gloves and starting up his neighbor's lawnmower.]
