[[ ooc: So! I'm doing something a little different (at least for me in this specific game) and instead of doing a top level in the event log I'm gonna do a catch-all log here for event related stuff, like some others have done ]]

-Attend to the animals at the animal shelter and hold an adoption drive.
-Steal from the rich and give to the poor.
-Egg someone's house.
-Swim with the sharks.
-Rent/buy (she's gonna steal them, lbr) paintball equipment and start a city-wide game, tagging buildings as you go.
-Complete the Big Bang Burger challenge (or try, anyway.)
-Steal someone's coffee from the pick-up counter at a coffee shop.
-Write a poem about your feelings and share it with someone.
-Buy someone a drink...anyone...they can even be underaged.

[Once Kasen had caught up, she resumed walking again, more or less side by side.]

It's nothing grave, I assure you. One of the...tasks, was discussing family members. In this area, it would seem.

[How fussy. Amelia wasn't very impressed by it.]

Oddly specific, yet at the same time frustratingly vague. How very much like them. -Kasen sighed, shaking his head.- Still, it's not like we haven't discussed your family before...

Quite. [She let the silence hang for a few steps.] I...was able to speak with my husband. Briefly. He seemed concerned that I hadn't called him in so long, even worried. But before I could explain, that horrid growling cut it off. The same with the next call, and the one after that.

[Her arms folded, briefly agitated.]

I had a similar experience with my brother... -A sigh. Though he could imagine it was only worse, in Amelia's case.-

Has Kurt gotten a chance to speak to him?

I believe so. He's a dutiful child, if...misguided. I worry for him.

[A few more steps, and Amelia's arms unfolded again.]

I haven't heard much about your brother.

I see. My father and I haven't spoken to each other in almost as long.

In my case, we just don't really 'get' each other. He's not a creative type. He finds me strange and eccentric. I find him inelegant and prone to laziness.

... I've wanted things to be different, but I doubt they ever will be.

[A bit...strange, she'd quietly agree on. She could safely count "sometimes being an inanimate object" as the oddest of the odd things she'd encountered lately. That said, though:]

I find you welcome enough to talk to. Though I can't speak for your brother.

[She didn't know him, Amelia was being mostly impartial. But her voice didn't stay quite so neutral for long, growing agitated again.]

My father is a stubborn man. [It runs in the family.] But more than that, he sits on all his power like a dragon, and does nothing with it. He doesn't engage in or condemn politics, he uses his influence for nothing except unwavering neutrality. It astounds and disgusts me.

[The older woman sighs, backing off a little from her rant.]

...I fear Kurt is falling into the same pattern. Not using his influence as he should, not being as ambitious as he could.

-Kasen gave a thoughtful hum.- I was raised Buddhist, so the idea of entirely neutral motion isn't really considered 'wrong' by those standards. In fact, there's an entire artistic theory built around it...

... But I understand your frustrations. Particularly when it comes to Kurt. People need to have some kind of passion. To care deeply about something enough to want to have am impact.

[Amelia looked at Kasen sharply, like she had something to say. Which of course she did, just--

...no. Now wasn't the time for this. This was supposed to be a light conversation. Lighter.]

Yes. Staying static helps nothing. And it won't help him succeed.

But... I also he'll be okay. He's still young. He still gas time to figure things out.
