[Minako's list of available prompts is here! I'm open to doubling up, but no more than that, please. If you're looking for an excuse to bump into her randomly instead of doing something preplanned, the Confectionary prompt would be best, since she works there!]

Hmm...how am I supposed to do this without ruining your Evoker?

[It's a question asked to the air. You might find Minako walking her silver Shiba Inu on the streets, looking at some Bluetooth devices on her phone's browser-- or maybe she's in the electronics store, browsing the shelves. Either way, Koromaru is patiently walking beside her, making sure his Leader doesn't trip or bang her head on something as she muses to herself.]

Maybe I should just experiment. If I break your collar beyond repair, thanks to Retrospec it'll come back brand new...probably.

[Koromaru gives an agreeing bark.]

Okay, let's do that then. [And noticing someone near her, she waves them down.] Hey there! Question for you! What brand would you recommend for a Bluetooth device?

[Or maybe you see a text message from her.]

if I wanted to give my puppy a phone in his collar, how would I go about doing that?

[Minako gives her an upside down smile.]

You're more observant than other people, then. Nobody else noticed really noticed that until after I told them he was mine.

[Granted, having a giant black dragon suddenly in one's face would automatically put most people in the fight or flight mood, but still.]

[Lucy did admittedly freeze at that point. But the dragon was just so big and so strange he was briefly beyond her comprehension for a moment, unable to sort him into things to run away from or things to fight.]

It wasn't as scary as seeing you summon him the first time.

[Her heart rate still spiked briefly whenever she saw Minako's Evoker.]

[Her smile turns sheepish, and she sits up to look at her friend properly.]

I'm sorry. I hadn't meant for everyone to see. I still don't.

[She tries as best as she can to avoid Evoking in front of others when she has to fight, and so far she's managed it. But she can't guarantee that it won't happen in the heat of the battle sometime in the future.]

[Lucy let Minako sit up, though a vector hovered fitfully by the other girl's side in case she fell.]

It's...

[No, it wasn't okay, exactly.]

...it surprised me. [Lucy didn't like surprises, most of the time. But that cold, logical part of her brain knew what the rest of her didn't want to think about.] If it means you don't get hurt, then...

[As scary as the Evoker looked, the things Minako summoned were generally good. Allies--like Seth, beings with abilities that could help or heal, things that wouldn't hurt Minako.]

I won't stop you.

[Don't worry Lucy, Minako has practiced freefalling through the air in secret and is okay with the idea of it now.]

Not just me. Everyone I want to protect, too. But still...thank you, Lucy. I'm really happy you understand.

[Lucy could stop her, if she really thinks about it. It'd be no problem for Lucy to use her vectors to yank the Evoker away at any moment. But she doesn't; she sees the necessity of it.

It's the first time in a long time that Minako has talked to anyone about using the Evoker, because hardly anyone sees it anymore. Minako only wants them to see the result, not the motions it takes to get there. It's...not exactly a relief, because she'd long since come to terms with it-- but it helps her feel lighter, sharing the thought with someone else.]

[How to give Lucy a heart attack in a single step]

...heh.

[It was still so strange, wanting to hold onto so many people. More than she could reach with her hands, like all of them were precious. And Minako could do that as easily as breathing.


...could Lucy ever be like that?

A year ago, she wouldn't have even considered it. Now, she couldn't imagine being without Minako, without Freya, without...a startling number of people. Still not many, but more than one.]

You're...welcome. [That was the thing to say, right.] You're the first one to say that, to me.

[complementing]

Really? [She scrunches up her face a bit.] Well, that kind of sucks.

[And then the petulant look eases away.]

But being the first to say that is nice in its own way.

[Lucy froze up a bit when Minako's expression changed--did she say something wrong?

Relief came back to her when that look disappeared. Lucy reached out to touch Minako's shoulder again, a reassuring gesture.]

...yeah. Not...for something like which room was mine, or where I'm not supposed to go. Something important.

[The gesture soothes a little bit of her inner ire, at least, and Minako nods.]

Here's to the hope that it can happen more often.

[And since she's lacking a glass to make a toast with, she raises her paintbrush and flings it into the air, the motion lighting up another star in the sky.]

There! Make a wish!

[Wait shit Minako was doing something else hang on a second]

Uh--okay.

[Jarred away from those worried thoughts, Lucy scrabbled after her brush. She got a few smudges on her hands, but nevermind that. She flicked some paint off of its bristles in the same direction Minako had just painted.

A shooting star would have been perfect right now, but no such serendipitous luck. Still, there were now two more little, reddish stars in the sky.]

[Even if there aren't any shooting stars, Minako clasps her hands together to make a wish anyways.
