Hmm...how am I supposed to do this without ruining your Evoker?

[It's a question asked to the air. You might find Minako walking her silver Shiba Inu on the streets, looking at some Bluetooth devices on her phone's browser-- or maybe she's in the electronics store, browsing the shelves. Either way, Koromaru is patiently walking beside her, making sure his Leader doesn't trip or bang her head on something as she muses to herself.]

Maybe I should just experiment. If I break your collar beyond repair, thanks to Retrospec it'll come back brand new...probably.

[Koromaru gives an agreeing bark.]

Okay, let's do that then. [And noticing someone near her, she waves them down.] Hey there! Question for you! What brand would you recommend for a Bluetooth device?

[Or maybe you see a text message from her.]

if I wanted to give my puppy a phone in his collar, how would I go about doing that?

This isn't how I thought my first time scuba diving would go.

[Minako peers into the giant tank below them, where some fish, but mostly sharks, were swimming lazily around the coral and sea flora. The tank is one of those huge ones that span the length of a wall and the width of a room, and yet it still feels incredibly small and claustrophobic.]

I think I would've preferred swimming with sharks in the sea compared to this.

[Even though these sharks are tamer. Supposedly. At least in the sea she could Evoke and get whisked away by one of her flying Personas.]

[ ohhhh my godddd. To be honest, Akira has always wanted to pet a shark that he's seen in aquariums ever since he was a wee lad. Sometimes, he thinks about what it would be like to be in those shark cages, but overall prefer petting the safe sharks.

He's not sure how he got here with scuba gear on with Minako, but he isn't going to question it. Do it for the good of Enprise, he tells himself. Leaning forward, he peers over to check the breed of shark. Not bad. They should be fine, but... The small space does make him feel uneasy. ]

We should be fine... They do this a lot at parks with marine life, don't they?

[ THEY CAN'T CHICKEN OUT NOW. ]

Yeah. [Though she can't help but point out:] Those are trained professionals, though.

[Still, it can't be that hard, right? Worse comes to worse, they can just heal themselves after with their Personas. Minako gives him a v-for-victory sign, and then lets herself drop into the tank.

It feels like when she was a mermaid, surrounded by the push and pull of the sea, the water cool and the fish ticklish against her suit. But the equipment is surprisingly heavy and cumbersome, and it just feels easier to sink to the bottom for a moment.

Right in the middle of all the sharks, but this is okay. This is fine.

She stays very still anyways, watching them swim in circles around her.]

[ He doesn't let her go in alone, but not at the same time. He, instead, slips in after her. He doesn't have too much trouble staying afloat, but the gear is quite heavy. ]

Sharks usually won't take a bite out of humans since we're more like water bags than meat.

[ Looking down, he watches the sharks rise a little bit, curious about these new creatures in their tank. He tries not to let nerves get the best of him. He's sure they can take on some sharks. No. Big. Deal. ]

This isn't too bad so far.

[His voice sounds tinny and muted over the communicator, which makes it all seem weirder. But he's right, it's not so bad. Still, despite his reassurances, she really hopes the sharks were fed recently.

Still, they're cute in their own way, and Minako leans closer to get a better look at them.]

They're like...stubby water dragons.

[ The compromises you must make to be in the right gear to swim with the sharks. He beats his legs once in a while before kicking his feet normally. The sharks overall come to bump into them, but don’t seem interested in getting a bite. They do, however, cycle around them as if waiting for someone’s command.

Huh... he keep an eye on the shark closest to them, holding back the urge to pet. ]

That isn’t a wrong. Are you going to pet one?

[ Who needs a specialist and a professional when you can heal yourself? ]

Yes!

[Because! Stubby water dragons!! Now that she's changed her thinking, she's a lot more eager to try, and she pumps her legs a little bit to swim closer. The sharks swim away as if to give her space, so she swims a little further to catch up...but it happens again.

She turns to Akira and pouts.]

[ He presses his lips together as he watches her chase after these sharks like they're kittens, wondering if maybe he should help her catch one.

... That sounds too dangerous, to be honest. ]

Maybe we should wait till they come to us?

[ As much as he likes to take risks, the benefits and outcome do not offset the dangers here. ]

I guess so...

[She floats to a stop, watching the sharks carefully and holding out her hand to them like she would a puppy. Or one of her actual dragons.

But they all seem to gravitate to Akira instead, and swim (uncomfortably) close around his ankles.]

Aww, they like you!

[ He will kick these sharks in the snout if he needs to, but he tries to keep calm. Don't be nervous—animals can easily tell when you are. ]

You think so? Maybe I just seem calm.

[ Since Minako is emitting such radiance that can blind puppies. ]

[That's probably it. Why deal with prey that's active and probably willing to fight for their life when they could just go for something that's not moving instead?

Minako shakes her head in sage understanding.]

No, I think they like you. Maybe you look like one of their usual handlers.

I hope that works to my favor and they don't just hate their handlers.

[ Good thing their gear is rather thick? Akira offers a hand out, just waiting for the sharks to pass by or graze against his fingers. They do, almost instinctively wanting pets. When they feel comfortable, they float around Minako, too. ]

You can say they were testing the waters.

[ Kill him. ]

[She can't kill him in the tank, that would probably leave a mess, but she will give him her best "I hate you and everything that you stand for" look through her diving goggles.

And then, because now that he's started she can't just leave it like that:]

Luckily I stopped feeling out of my depth.

[ Akira doesn't laugh or snicker, but based on the smile on his face when she gives him that look... He's very satisfied with himself. Even more content when she follows along. ]

That was good.

[ To be honest, it was all horrible. The sharks at least don't care for the jokes, just for massages. They circle closer, bumping themselves into them lightly. ]

[Oh, stubby water dragons want more attention? Minako is more than happy to give it to them, running her fingers over the length of their bodies and making content noises.]

This isn't so bad. I can understand why someone would like to do this every day.

[She doesn't understand how this helps the city?? But she's doing her duty and it's like a tiny, relaxing vacation.]

If I were a mermaid like that other time, it would be even better, though.
