[OPEN] Don't Paint a Monster
WHO: Noah Campbell & YOU
WHERE: Recolle Woods/Roads to other Regions
WHEN: Week of May 13
WHAT: Noah's decided to tackle painting the roads leading outside the city.
WARNINGS: Swearing, Monsters, Paint
I. Painting Near Town
[If you're near the edges of the city, you might see a teenage boy just outside the city limits, trying to paint and restore the roads. He's hard at work, regardless of anyone helping him or not. He's got one of those large brushes with him, gray paint dripping off the tip.
Help him out or try to convince him to come back into the city, though he'll be pretty stubborn about leaving.]
II. Monsters Whoops
[On the bright side, areas that are left unpainted are safe to walk around in. Nothing exists in these areas so there's nothing to attack.
However, at some point Noah's painting will uncovered something other than roads and plants. There's the sound of something coming to life, maybe a roar, as one of the monsters comes to life while still half unpainted. Noah stumbles back in surprise, trying to back away from the monster that's not so happy about its predicatment]
Shit!
[Help him out, uncover your own monster, or try to run for it]
III. We're Lost
[Did you think Noah would be good at navigation? Then you are a terrible fool. After a very long session of painting, they'll find themselves in some unfamiliar patch of road. Noah looks around, rather confused.]
Uh...does this look familiar to you?
[Congratulations, you're now lost with a person with zero sense of direction]
IV. Wildcard
[got another idea? then come at me!]

II. Mosters Whoops
IMMOBULUS!
[His spell misses as the Stormbird rises in the sky.]
Shit I missed!
no subject
You missed?! But the thing is fucking huge!!
[HOW DO YOU MISS THAT]
no subject
[The Stormbird see's Derek with his wand and swoops down to attack him.]
[Alright, one more time!]
[Derek raises his wand and points his at the stormbird. When he feels the bird is close enough for his spell to hit, he bellows out the spell.]
IMMOBULUS!
[The storm bird stops in mid air and just starts to glide. Derek lowers his wand and rests his hands on his knees.]
Thank god...
no subject
Shit, thank God...
[Time to actually BREATHE]
How long does that last?
no subject
As far as I know, as long as I want it to. But, I have had spells wear off in the past...
[Derek takes a step closer to examine the bird.]
It actually looks pretty interesting, when it's not attacking you that is.
no subject
Yeah, but I don't get it. Why are there giant robot birds acting like they're real birds?
[Says the guy whose best friend is a golem. But he'll start squirting paint over it, revealing its form]
no subject
[Derek pulls out his own paint brush and starts flinging paint at the bird.]
I should have brought my broom. It would have made it way easier to paint this thing.
no subject
[Programming a giant murder bird seems like a really bad idea]
Yeah, probably. [He thinks he's talking about a normal broom really] Whatever. We just need to uncover enough so we can destroy it.
no subject
[Derek finishes up one of the wings and starts painting the body more.]
So how exactly do you propose we destroy it? I have a fire spell that has some decent power behind it.

II. monsters whoops
Noah! Look out!
[Activating her boots, she grabs a paint-balloon and hurries to help Noah. They can't defend themselves against it if they can't see where it is properly, so she hurls the balloon at the Faceless, trying to hit a spot that wasn't yet painted.]
no subject
[Noah is jumping back, trying to get out of range of the Faceless's fists. Li-Na's balloon manages to hit an unpainted spot, revealing its shoulder and upper half of an arm]
This guy is huge!
no subject
[you know, the ogre that flung her against a tree]
Still cannot see enough of him...
[Li-Na fetches more paint balloons and tries to hit other spots of the Faceless that aren't visible]
no subject
[Right. the ogre that flung her into a tree. This will go great. But at least Noah can help! He steps back some before he grabs the supersoaker that was on his belt. Pumping the pressure, he'll start firing a stream of watered down paint at the faceless.
The faceless roars in response as more of it gets revealed, taking a swing at Li-Na this time]
no subject
Thanks to Noah and his supersoaker, Li-Na is able to see the arm the faceless swings at her. Quickly ducking underneath, she slams a booted heel into the monster's midsection.
Which, in addition to knocking it back a little bit, mostly just pisses it off more.]
Hmm. So its the sturdy type.
no subject
Well, no sense in making her do all the work. He'll yank off his glove and activate his claw arm]
Shit. I'll try piercing it!
[GOING FOR THE CLAW STAB. In other, he shoots his hand out with the breaking some of that tough defense]
no subject
[Li-Na takes a leap back to give Noah room, then jumps into the air in order to deliver a kick to its head]
no subject

Um…
[ Biting her lip, she looks around uncertainly. ]
No? Everything’s kind of looked the same since this started...
no subject
[He glances around too, biting the side of his mouth. Crap crap crap, he didn't mean to get them lost]
We might be lost then.
no subject
It’s okay! We should just be able to retrace our steps, right? We can follow the paint trail.
no subject
[he glances at his phone. Yeah, it's starting to get late]
We should probably start doing that now then.
no subject
Time sure flies when you're painting the town, huh?
no subject
Yeah. But I think we got a lot done. And no monsters today either!
no subject
[ Somehow she's come this far without seeing a single one?? It's a miracle, probably. Hearing about them makes her a little nervous, though... ]
Do you mean like... things from the other regions?
